Lin Mu carefully ran his thumb along the hilt, feeling the balance of the blade.

This sword was not just well-made.

It was precise.

Every part of it had been crafted with intent.

The flow of energy within the blade was smooth, almost natural, as if the weapon itself was an extension of the wielder's will.

Lin Mu could already tell.

This sword had potential.

A lot of it.

After a mont, he shifted his attention to the twinbill.

Compared to the longsword, it felt... quieter.

There was no resonance from the Sword Cradle Divine Sheath.

Of course, that was expected.

It was not a sword.

Still, Lin Mu did not dismiss it.

He extended his immortal sense again, carefully scanning the weapon from top to bottom. The twinbill was undeniably a fine piece of craftsmanship. The tal composition was unique, the forging technique advanced, and the embedded runic structures were both efficient and stable.

But... There was no signature.

No 'Jing'.

No unique identifier beyond a standard dwarven sigil.

Lin Mu found the mark etched near the base of the shaft.

It was a common dwarven emblem, one that simply indicated the weapon had been forged by a recognized dwarven smith.

Nothing more.

He exhaled softly.

"...I see."

A faint disappointnt lingered.

While the twinbill was undoubtedly valuable, it did not hold the sa significance as the longsword.

Still, Lin Mu did not disregard it. Even without a unique mark, the weapon itself was of high quality and could be useful in the future.

He lifted his gaze toward the king. Before he could even speak though, Huli Qian raised a hand slightly.

"You may keep them."

Lin Mu paused.

"There is no need to ask," the king continued. "They are yours."

His tone was calm, but firm.

Lin Mu nodded.

"Thank you."

Without further hesitation, he stored both weapons into his spatial ring.

There would be ti later to study them in detail. For now, it was enough to know that he had found another piece of the puzzle.

The rest of the court session passed without incident. Compared to the earlier revelations, everything felt... normal.

As the sun began to set, casting long shadows across the palace grounds, Lin Mu and his companions finally took their leave.

By now, Elyon and Daoist Chu were already aware of Lin Mu's mission. They had listened during the court session and understood the situation clearly.

There were no questions.

Only quiet preparation.

That night passed swiftly and there was little discussion.

Each of them focused on their own tasks, preparing ntally and physically for what lay ahead.

And before they knew it, morning arrived.

The first light of dawn spread across the horizon, and the palace stirred to life once more. Lin Mu stepped out into the courtyard early. To his mild surprise, Minister Ren was already there.

Not alone though.

Behind him stood an entourage of guards and officials, all arranged in an orderly manner. Each of them carried large chests, their expressions serious

and respectful.

Lin Mu stopped.

"...What is this?"

Minister Ren stepped forward and bowed.

"These are the supplies prepared for you."

Lin Mu looked at the chests.

He did not even need to open them.

SHUA

His immortal sense swept across them briefly, revealing their contents

instantly.

Immortal stones.

Alchemical pills.

Rare materials.

Travel provisions.

Tools.

Everything that might be needed for an extended journey.

It was... excessive for their trip. They were rely going to the Mother Forest,

it was not like they were heading to a war.

Lin Mu sighed inwardly.

"At this point..."

There was no point refusing.

He simply waved his hand.

The chests disappeared one by one into his spatial storage.

"Thank you."

Minister Ren nodded. "We are honored to assist." He then added, "You may

depart at any ti. We are only waiting for one more person."

Lin Mu raised a brow. "The disciple of Temple Head Puyi?"

"Yes." The Minister replied.

Lin Mu looked at him.

"Have you t him?"

Ren nodded slightly.

"A few tis."

He hesitated before continuing.

"He is... a rare talent among our foxkin."

Lin Mu's interest was piqued.

"In what way?"

Minister Ren's expression grew more serious.

"He is the only one in the past eight thousand years who has shown affinity for

the Spatial Elent."

Lin Mu's eyes narrowed slightly.

"...Eight thousand years?"

"Yes,"

Lin Mu found that surprising.

Spatial affinity was rare.

But for an entire world to produce only one such individual in eight thousand

years...

That spoke volus.

"I see," Lin Mu said.

Ren nodded.

"You will understand when you et him."

He added, almost cautiously, "He is... young. Please do not take offense if he

makes any mistakes."

Lin Mu waved his hand lightly.

"It will be fine."

He was not one to judge soone based on such things.

And besides, he was curious too.

Just then...

STEP STEP STEP

Footsteps echoed from the entrance.

All eyes turned as a figure walked in.

It was of course, a foxkin. A young one. At least, by the standards of cultivators.

He stood around six feet tall, his fra lean but well-proportioned. His hair

was a pale white, almost silver, falling loosely around his shoulders. Two long triangular ears rose from the top of his head, their fur matching the color of his hair, giving him a slightly taller appearance.

One of his cars bore a delicate earring, from which a small crystal tassel hung, swaying gently with his movents.

His robes were those of the Guardian Beast Temple.

Simple, yet refined, carrying a quiet authority.

Lin Mu's gaze sharpened slightly as he sensed the young foxkin's Qi.

Second Tribulation Stage of the Immortal Realm.

Stable.

Clean.

And...

There was sothing else.

A faint, subtle fluctuation.

Lin Mu's eyes narrowed just slightly.

"Spatial..."

He could feel it.

It was not strong, but unmistakable to Lin Mu..

He finally understood.

Why this individual had been chosen.

And why he was considered rare.

The young foxkin stepped forward, his expression calm but carrying a hint of

curiosity as he looked at Lin Mu.

The eting...

Had begun.
