This one drew a longer look from Lin Mu.
It was closer.

The bell rang softly before dissolving.
The tenth Dao Embryo manifested as a small sun.
A sphere of pure fire hovered before him, radiating imnse heat and light. It pulsed with contained energy, as if it could explode at any mont.

It was raw power.
Contained, compressed, and devastating.
Lin Mu felt its pull.
For a brief mont, even he was tempted for this was among the strongest Fire Dao Embryos to exist. Yet he exhaled slowly and let it pass. He had seen enough to understand the pattern.
None of these were what he needed.

Still, he remained patient.

A furnace erged.

It stood before him, its body forged from burning red tal that seed both solid and alive. Within its core, flas roared with such intensity that they resembled a miniature sun contained within its structure. The heat it radiated surpassed all previous Dao Embryos combined.
Lin Mu's eyes sharpened.
There it was.
The All lt Furnace Fire Dao Embryo.
Without hesitation, he reached for it.
Or rather, he tried to.
But his body did not move.
He remained seated, unable to close the distance.
Lin Mu did not panic.
He shifted his intent instead.
He willed the Dao Embryo to co to him.
The furnace responded imdiately.
It trembled slightly, then began to drift toward him, as if recognizing his call and accepting it. It even seed happy that it had been chosen. And for a brief mont, it seed as though the process would proceed smoothly.
Then everything changed.
The other Dao Embryos reacted and they surged forward all at once.
HONG!
The previously calm sea of flas erupted into chaos as countless forms rushed toward the furnace. They collided with it, pushing it away from Lin Mu, blocking its path.
BANG BANG BANG
The furnace resisted, its flas flaring violently, but it was outnumbered.
Lin Mu's gaze darkened slightly.
He had anticipated resistance, but not this level of aggression. Until now, the Dao Embryos had remained orderly, appearing one after another without interference. He had thought that perhaps the elders had exaggerated the difficulty.
He now understood the truth.
They had only been waiting.
As long as Lin Mu had not chosen, they had held back, each one hoping to be selected later. Now that he had shown clear intent, that restraint vanished and the competition began. Lin Mu continued to call the furnace and it continued to respond.
Yet every attempt was blocked by the others.
Ti passed in this stalemate, with no progress made.
Eventually, Lin Mu spoke.
"All right," he said calmly. "I will listen to all of you first."
The effect was imdiate.
The chaotic movent ceased.
The Dao Embryos halted, then slowly withdrew, creating space once more. The sea of flas settled, though the underlying tension remained.
New forms began to appear again.

It represented the flas of the deepest hells, fire that could burn not only the body but the soul itself. Its destructive capability placed it among the highest ranked Fire Dao Embryos being in the very top five!
