The runes moved with a familiarity that Lin Mu could now sense. He could feel their structure, their intent, even the faint traces of Dao embedded within them. This ti, he did not rely observe. He understood them on a primitive level.
He could even feel his comprehension of Formation Dao improving a bit.
The do ford once more, enclosing him in its intricate lattice of symbols. The outside world faded, the presence of the elders disappearing as the runes condensed into a barrier that separated him from everything else.
Lin Mu sat down without hesitation.
He closed his eyes and began circulating the Calming Heart Sutra. His breathing slowed, his thoughts settled, and his awareness turned inward. The transition into the trance state ca faster this ti, smoother, as if his mind had already adapted to the process.
Monts later, he opened his eyes again.
The illusory realm had returned.
Once more, it was an empty expanse, devoid of form or direction. Lin Mu did not linger in that state.
"tal," he said.
The response was imdiate.
The space trembled, then transford.
The emptiness was replaced by light, a vast field of shimring yellow radiance that stretched endlessly in all directions. At first glance, it resembled a sea of luminous particles, floating and drifting like dust in sunlight.
But Lin Mu's gaze sharpened.
He could see the truth.
These were not re motes of light. They were fragnts of tal, each one reflecting and refracting the ambient glow. Their colors shifted constantly, cycling through gold, silver, white, black, deep blue, and even hues that were difficult to define.
The entire realm felt heavier than the fire domain.
There was a sense of weight, of density, of sharpness.
It was stable, grounded, and unyielding.
Lin Mu remained calm.
"Show ," he said quietly.
The realm responded.
A cluster of tallic light broke away from the surroundings and began to condense. It gathered in front of him, shaping itself into a distinct form.
The first tal Dao Embryo appeared.
It resembled a blade.
A long, slender sword floated in the air, its surface polished to a mirror like sheen. Its edge shimred faintly, as though it could cut through anything placed before it.
"The Edge Severance Blade Dao Embryo," Lin Mu said.
Its function was imdiately apparent. It embodied sharpness and precision, allowing its wielder to create cuts that could slice through both physical matter and energy constructs. It was a Dao Embryo focused on offensive refinent, reducing resistance to near nothing.
It was a Dao Embryo that clearly touched upon the Sword Dao as well and was highly suitable for Lin Mu. He observed it for a mont, then shook his head.
The blade drifted away and another form erged.
This one appeared as a shield, thick and layered, its surface composed of overlapping tallic plates that shifted subtly.
"The Iron Bastion Shield Dao Embryo."
It represented defense and endurance. Its strength lay in absorbing and redistributing force, allowing its user to withstand imnse impacts without sustaining damage.
Lin Mu dismissed it.
The third Dao Embryo ford as a set of chains, each link interlocked perfectly with the next.
"The Binding Steel Chain Dao Embryo."
It specialized in restraint, capable of locking down opponents or stabilizing volatile energies during forging processes.
Lin Mu did not linger on it.
The fourth manifestation appeared as a hamr head, heavy and angular, with glowing runic patterns etched across its surface.
"The Resonant Forge Hamr Dao Embryo."
This one enhanced forging efficiency, allowing for precise strikes that amplified internal vibrations within materials, breaking down impurities and strengthening structure.
Lin Mu considered it briefly.
Then let it go.
The fifth Dao Embryo appeared as a ring.
A simple tallic band floated before him, its surface smooth and unadorned.
"The Infinite Loop Alloy Dao Embryo."
It represented continuity and adaptability. It allowed tals to shift between states without losing integrity, making it invaluable for creating flexible yet durable alloys that would either be very difficult to create normally or even create entirely new ones.
It was tempting and showed a vast potential to make money from new alloys but Lin Mu moved on.
The sixth Dao Embryo ford as a rather new structure, a cube.
Its faces rotated slowly, each side reflecting a different type of tal.
"The Modular tal Matrix Dao Embryo."
It specialized in transformation, allowing materials to be rearranged and recombined into different configurations with ease. It was a Hybrid Dao Embryo, touching upon the Formation Dao along with tal as its base.
The seventh appeared as a spear.
"The Piercing Alloy Lance Dao Embryo."
It focused on penetration and structural disruption. Another Dao Embryo that touched upon one of the tal Daos, the Spear Dao.
The eighth manifested as a crown of tallic spikes.
"The Sovereign tal Dominion Dao Embryo."
It granted control over surrounding tallic elents, allowing the user to command them directly. In a way, it was the counterpart of the Sovereign Fla Crown Dao Embryo. It was tempting, but Lin Mu rejected it.
The ninth appeared as a pair of gauntlets.
"The Crushing Iron Grip Dao Embryo."
It enhanced physical strength and allowed direct manipulation of tal through touch. It was a special Dao Embryo that, while focused on forging, wasn't ant for weapons or armor but for jewellery.
The tenth ford as a swirling mass of molten tal.
"The Fluid Steel Essence Dao Embryo."
It allowed tal to flow like liquid while retaining its inherent strength. It was a strange hybrid of tal and Water Daos.
Lin Mu watched them all, realizing that the tal Dao Embryos appearing contained a lot of hybrids. But then he reckoned that for Dwarves who focused on forging and refinent, these made sense.
Still, he rejected them all.
More continued to appear.
Dozens turned into hundreds.
Hundreds into thousands.
Each one carried its own unique function, its own interpretation of the tal Dao. So were refined, others were overwhelming, and a few were so complex that even Lin Mu needed ti to fully grasp their capabilities.
