The tension vanished instantly.
Several dwarves had already started carrying the barrels away protectively as if guarding treasures.
Lady Kang smiled pleasantly.
"Please enjoy them," she said. "Though when possible I would like to speak with all of you."
Lin Mu instantly understood.
Business.
Her eyes had already started working the mont she entered Mantleheim.
The elders nodded imdiately.
"Of course!"
"We will speak!"
"After drinking!"
Lady Kang simply smiled knowingly.
Then Lin Mu continued introductions.
"These two are the ones you have only heard about," he said. "Elyon and Cattaleya."
Elyon stepped forward first.
The wolfkin bowed respectfully.
Unlike ng Bai or Cattaleya, he understood very clearly what the Great Kang Clan represented.
This was one of the greatest powers of the Immortal Realm.
"I greet Lady Kang," Elyon spoke respectfully. "I have actually worked for one of your subsidiaries before."
Lady Kang looked toward Min Ju.
The maid imdiately checked a jade slip.
Several monts later she nodded.
"rcenary Elyon," Min Ju replied. "Multiple commissions completed successfully. High evaluation."
Lady Kang nodded approvingly.
She took out a small pouch and handed it over.
"A gift."
Elyon blinked.
He opened it.
Several high grade immortal pills rested within.
Beside them were stacks of talismans.
Concealnt talismans.
Stealth talismans.
Aura suppression talismans.
Movent masking talismans.
All things perfectly suited for him.
Elyon looked genuinely stunned.
"Thank you," he said sincerely.
Lady Kang nodded lightly.
Then her gaze moved toward Cattaleya.
Catt anwhile, looked rather suspicious.
Her eyes narrowed slightly.
She knew enough by now.
Lin Mu had risked his life for Lady Kang before.
He valued her greatly.
And unlike many others around Lin Mu, this woman felt different.
Too calm.
Too composed.
Too dangerous.
Lin Mu was wondering how this eting would go.
Instead Lady Kang suddenly waved him away.
"Go."
Lin Mu blinked.
"Go?" he repeated.
"Yes."
Lady Kang pointed elsewhere.
"We won are talking."
Lin Mu silently walked away.
The others watched.
Lady Kang pulled Cattaleya aside into a corner.
Five minutes later loud laughter echoed.
Lin Mu looked over.
Cattaleya already had an arm around Lady Kang's shoulders.
The two looked like old friends.
ng Bai stared blankly.
"What happened?" he muttered.
Daoist Chu calmly drank wine.
"That's Lady Kang for you."
A mont later Catt pointed toward Lin Mu.
"She's good."
Then she grinned.
"She is my sister now."
Lin Mu suddenly felt danger.
Catt looked at him aningfully.
"You better treat her well."
Lin Mu imdiately realized there was definitely more hidden behind those words.
He wisely stayed silent.
anwhile ng Bai finally approached.
The young man bowed respectfully.
"Senior Lady Kang," he greeted. "I have heard a lot about you."
Lady Kang looked at him.
This was Lin Mu's disciple.
The young man Lin Mu had worked so hard for.
She smiled softly.
Then, took out another pouch.
ng Bai accepted it curiously.
The mont he opened it his brain froze.
Immortal stones.
A mountain of immortal stones.
More than he could count.
"This…" he stamred.
Lady Kang smiled.
"Pocket money."
ng Bai stopped breathing briefly.

His entire wealth even after eting Lin Mu was probably less than this.

Maybe having another mother figure was not bad?
He looked at Lady Kang.

Nearby Lin Mu watched his disciple being bought in real ti.
He felt oddly betrayed.
Shrubby anwhile sat comfortably in Lady Kang's lap enjoying pets.
The twins observed from nearby.

Xiao Yang looked at ng Bai.

The two nodded wisely.
anwhile the dwarves had fully accepted Lady Kang.
The liquor had done its work.
The Mountain Dwarf Elder even ca over carrying a barrel.

Lady Kang turned.
"You have good alcohol."
Lady Kang smiled.

The elder laughed loudly.
"Good!"
Then he lowered his voice.
"We also have things to discuss."
His eyes briefly swept across the hall.
Toward the workshops outside.
Toward Mantleheim itself.
Lady Kang noticed.
Businesswoman mode imdiately activated.
Lin Mu could practically see calculations appearing behind her eyes.
Trade.
Materials.
Weapons.
Networks.
Distribution.
Dwarven partnerships.
Hidden settlents.
She was already thinking ten steps ahead.
Min Ju stood nearby calmly recording everything.
She looked around Mantleheim once more.
Even she felt shocked.
This hidden city alone…

The entire market of immortal weapons would shake.
Lady Kang however simply smiled.
Then quietly muttered to herself.
"Worth it."
Min Ju looked over.
Lady Kang's eyes sparkled.

Or rather, confusing in the sense that he had sohow beco completely irrelevant.
He had brought Lady Kang here.
He had introduced everyone.
He had explained Mantleheim.
And then imdiately lost all control of the situation.
The mont business entered the picture, Lady Kang seed to transform into another person entirely.
Lin Mu sat to the side while she discussed matters with the three Transcendent Elders. Min Ju stood behind her with jade slips in hand while dozens of dwarves ca and went carrying records, samples and reports.
At one point, Lin Mu tried speaking.
No one even heard him.
He quietly drank tea after that.
The discussion started with the most important matter.
Secrecy.
Lady Kang listened to the history of Mantleheim first. She learned how the dwarves had hidden themselves for countless years, how they kept their settlents isolated, how information was compartntalized even among their own kind and how fear of exposure had shaped their lives.
The more she heard, the more serious her expression beca.
Finally she stood.
"I understand."
Then before anyone could react, heavenly energy gathered around her.
A Heavenly Oath ford.
"I, Kang Yu Ai, swear upon Heaven that the existence, location, people and secrets of Mantleheim shall never be revealed by without permission. If broken, may Heaven judge ."
