The artillery roared, and the thunderous sound of gunfire echoed across the battlefield.
A black tide surged into the formations of Brittania, where powerful Barbarian Warriors and Chaos Warriors were held back by the recently trained Long Halberd Legion and sergeants of Laine.
In just two minutes, the Central Army began to fall into a disadvantage. The Chaos-worshipping Barbarians were simply too fierce. Brittania's national policy was to raise knights with all its might. Although Laine attempted to form a strong infantry unit, ti was not on his side. The Long Halberd Battalion had just been established and was forced onto the battlefield.
Fortunately, the Central Army was not fighting alone.
"Knights! Advance! For the Lady! For Brittania!" Duke Hubert, finally defeating the Barbarian Cavalry under the cover of the Dwarf Musketeers, had seen Chaos Champion Cowende defeated. The swarm of knights and Knight's Squires on the left wing were now free to turn their attention to the Barbarian forces of the Central Army.
"Advance!!!"
In the midst of the Holy Grail Expedition, Hubert led the charge on his cherished Pure-blood Elf Warhorse, the broad-bladed giant sword in his hands ablaze with the flas of the Lake God. He seed like a great hero from a thousand years ago reborn, charging alone on horseback into the Barbarian Central Army. Several Barbarian Warriors brandishing Long Spears and Long Halberds tried to intercept him, but Hubert's face remained as cold as ice.
"For the Lady!" The booming voice of the Expedition Knight erupted into a shattering roar. His armor seed to respond to its master's powerful call as dazzling light enveloped the entire battlefield, leaving the Barbarian Warriors and Chaos Warriors dazed and disoriented.
Hubert plunged into the Barbarian formation, swinging his two-handed giant sword and instantly beheading three Barbarian Warriors.
The formation in perfect order, spear points forward; through the gap opened by Hubert, a whole five thousand heavy cavalry, in immaculate formation, spear points forward, charged into the Barbarian Central Army.
The knights' attack was like a giant siege hamr, crashing ruthlessly into the Barbarian Central Army. By the ti the Chaos soldiers realized what was happening, it was too late. The knights unleashed their fury, their sharp Cavalry Lances piercing through the armor of these Barbarians, while the hooves of the warhorses shattered their skulls.
Charging five thousand heavy cavalry against four thousand Barbarians, the result was predictable; the knights began their massacre.
Like a whirlwind, the knights led by Hubert devoured these repulsive Barbarians. Wherever they went, the Barbarian Warriors were crushed into pieces by the knights, who heroically charged through the entire Barbarian formation. The terrifying and bloody slaughter broke the Barbarian vanguard, and Hubert, initially breaking through with a dozen Expedition Knights, not yet satiated, continued to order: "Charge back! Knights, today we'll have all these Barbarian bastards die here!"
"Oh!" Hundreds of knights erupted into an astonishing cheer, then spurred their horses, turned, and renewed their charge against the disordered and demoralized Barbarian front.
At this mont, Egil's reinforcents were still trapped behind the ice wall. The Chaos Mage Chakoy, under attack from Veronica, could not release magic to destroy the ice wall. The King of Skalings fiercely used his Hell Battleaxe to chisel at the ice wall, finally opening a path.
As Egil led the Crimson Guard and a large number of Barbarian Warriors through the gap, the Dwarf Cannon and Organ Cannon unleashed a volley at them. A large number of Peasant Crossbown and Dwarf Musketeers opened fire madly on the Barbarian reinforcents, suppressing them, unable to quickly support their vanguard being slaughtered by the knights.

The knights were repeatedly charging and slaughtering them, the Barbarians losing their courage, fleeing in all directions, the field strewn with Barbarian corpses. On the right wing, the Barbarian army led by Hardorn was also in retreat. Their forces were too few to contend with Brittania's five thousand heavy cavalry, among them, the Sea God Knights wielding scimitars and tridents under Sir Houlf's leadership were exceptionally valiant. The Barbarian army lacked sufficient cavalry.
"My King! Hardorn needs reinforcents! Otherwise, we can't hold out!" A Barbarian Scout relayed to Egil.
"There are no reinforcents left! Tell him to hold those knights, fight to the last man!" Egil glanced behind him, seeing no more than seven thousand Barbarian troops remaining.
The Divine Chosen Champion of Khorne realized he couldn't split his forces.
Previously, in battles like the Battle of Nanzi or the Siege of Leonais, the Barbarians held a nurical advantage, but as they pushed further inland and engaged in continuous combat, coupled with Egil's indifference to sacrificial tactics, when Laine led the Knight Army against Egil, the Barbarians not only lost their nurical advantage but also their artillery.
Now, in this war, the exhausted Barbarians were beginning to falter after a night of revelry and then fighting again. Under the fierce assault of the knights, the Barbarian Army was starting to waver.
