The sweet and lovely Veronica quickly stepped into the parlor, her eyes shining with a bit of resentnt as she exclaid, "You're finally here, Uncle Norman, Aunt Sally, Laine is bullying !"
"Oh! It's Veronica, how is that rascal Laine bullying you?" Norman's wife, the elderly Sally, said kindly. Veronica smiled as she sat beside the old lady, holding her arm and pouted, "He's secretly trying to marry another woman!"
"???" Laine looked bewildered and couldn't figure out what was happening.
"Hmph! I may be old, but I'm not stupid. If Laine dares to bully you, I won't stand for it," the shrewd old man Norman imdiately understood what was going on and deliberately put on a stern face: "Just co find ! I refuse to believe I can't teach him a lesson!"
Without a doubt, among the won around Laine, the one with the most familiar and best relationship with Norman and his wife is Veronica. Since she beca partners with Laine, the Jialan Witch often joined him to celebrate festivals in Autene's territory after missions (and to party wildly), staying for a few days.
Veronica is very smart and always acts well-behaved and considerate in front of the Norman couple, winning their affection.
"Veronica~" Laine knew he was in the wrong in this matter and could only bow his head in embarrassnt.
The Jialan Witch took advantage of the opportunity to warn Laine, implying she had backing and he shouldn't abandon her, without any real intention of doing anything serious.
"Veronica, is that tall wizard tower we saw on the way yours?" Lady Norman kept her gaze fixed on Veronica, and the old lady took the Jialan Witch's hand, smiling as she spoke.
"Hmm! At least Laine has a conscience, yes, that tower is mine, Laine helped build it." When Veronica heard the Norman couple ntion her wizard tower, a sweet smile imdiately blood on her face: "Wait, I'll take you to visit it."
"Okay~ okay~"
"Hello, Uncle, Aunt." Teresa also appeared. She imdiately spotted Laine's parents, and the female sorcerer politely stepped forward to greet them. She was also quite familiar with Laine's adoptive parents, having visited the Norman couple several tis during her return to the Jialan Council.
After aging, Norman suffered from rheumatism and many ailnts, and Aurora prepared nurous potions to cure him, for which Norman was extrely grateful, and Laine also rembered this favor.
"It's Miss Teresa, are you also here with Laine? This lad…" Norman imdiately understood what was happening and chuckled, "Has Laine been bullying you too?"
"Um~ a… a little." Unsure whether it was better to complain or to preserve Laine's dignity, Teresa blushed and hesitated to give a vague answer, not realizing her deanor completely revealed her feelings.

With the arrival of the Norman couple and Boris Prince-Elector, more distinguished guests followed. However, so didn't co to Laine's domain but settled elsewhere, like the Great Alchemist Geld from the Imperial Royal Wizard Academy's Alchemy Academy who reached the Royal Capital Crona, and Laine's godfather, Griffin Duke Ivan, who went straight to Helunhilde. Most guests didn't directly visit Laine's territory.
The reason was simple: there wasn't enough room to accommodate them. Laine had already hosted Tygris's high elf army, the visiting King Belgar of Eight Peaks, Boris Prince-Elector, and White Wolf Knight Order's Grand Master Axel, and couldn't arrange for more guests.
Despite many wanting to visit Tygris, the Supre Grandmaster announced to everyone that he was declining all visitors, saying he had matters to attend to (teaching two witches at Laine's request), which would be disclosed after Laine's wedding.
Upon hearing that Master of Eight Peaks Belgar had arrived in his domain, Laine requested a eting, but Belgar cheekily refused to et him just yet, putting on airs and giving Laine the cold shoulder. Knowing this was sowhat rude, King Belgar sent Laine several exquisite dwarf hand cannons from the Angland Clan via Dugen as a gesture, indicating that eting now wasn't suitable. Laine took no issue with this, and promptly handed these hand cannons to his two maids, two Jialan witches, and rchant Oliver. If a cold shoulder could earn him a few fine dwarf hand cannons, he'd gladly face it daily.
Like this, another two weeks passed, leaving less than a month until Laine's wedding.
Today, a hunting party appeared in the Charon Forest.
"Sha~ sha~" Fully armored Boris Prince-Elector, Grand Master Axel, Count Laine, and Lake God Witch Mogiana moved through the forest on their mounts. Laine rode his pure-blooded elf warhorse Grapes, leading his small Griffin Empress, while Mogiana sat on Unicorn Hilphain. Boris Prince-Elector and Grand Master Axel rode half-elf warhorses, which were undoubtedly "forcefully taken" from Laine's stables; these two rascals barged into Laine's stables, checked out his half-elven warhorses, and each picked one, leaving Laine no choice but to gift them.
