Chapter 1858: Section 1859 Laboratory
The only discordant elent in this material repository is a very rough hemispherical tal room by the artificial lake.
There is a copper plate on the door of the room, with ornate lettering: Magic Experint Field.
From the traces on the ground, the lettering on the copper plate, and the style of the building, Angel is quite certain that this Magic Experint Field was later added by Tizarro himself.
Tizarro doesn’t need such a large material repository, but a Magic Experint Field is absolutely necessary.
Angel wandered around the material repository, and apart from the Magic Experint Field, he personally quite likes this material repository.
So many ecological zones are carefully considered for the preservation of materials. Angel even suspects that the original owner of these ruins, the initial builder, might have been an Alchemist himself, otherwise why would he need such a large material repository?
For non-Alchemists, this material repository is indeed a bit too large. Tizarro, it seems, was not an Alchemist.
Although it is empty now, if he decides to stay here permanently, he could slowly fill this material repository in the future.
With this pleasant thought, Angel ca out of the material repository.
At present, the material repository seems very safe. The only room within the entire ruins that he hasn’t explored yet is the most important laboratory.
When Tree Spirit initially suggested he move to these ruins, it was described as an abandoned laboratory.
Setting aside the “abandoned” prefix, the most critical and important part of these ruins must be the laboratory.
Tizarro even left a blood-red note on the door: No Entry Without Permission!
This also indirectly indicates the importance of this laboratory.
Since the laboratory is very important, there is a high likelihood of traps here. Before Angel opened the laboratory door, he had prepared for all contingencies, including… the model of The Gate of Void which had begun to flicker, just to avoid unexpected situations and not manage to escape in ti.
However, when Angel pushed open the laboratory door and walked inside, he found no abnormalities at all.
Just like all other rooms, it was quiet and safe.
It wasn’t entirely free of traps, Angel noticed upon entering that the complex and threatening patterns on the walls were diagrams of chanisms drawn by a Magic Rune Mage.
However, these chanism diagrams are now dimd, likely due to a lack of energy supply.
Generally speaking, the core of chanisms in ruins definitely has an energy source. Here, the chanism diagrams show no signs of energy supply, which ans there are only two possibilities: the energy is depleted, or the energy source has been actively removed.
chanism diagrams consu very little energy; as long as the chanism isn’t touched daily, one Magic Crystal could sustain them for many years. So Angel thinks energy depletion is unlikely. Wizards who live here would hardly care about one or two Magic Crystals.
Hence, it’s likely that the energy source had been taken away.
Perhaps before the ruins were sealed, soone had cleared all dangers from these ruins.
Confirming the laboratory is safe, Angel finally took ti to observe the laboratory. As Tree Spirit ntioned earlier, the experintal equipnt inside the ruins is very comprehensive. The only regret is that all the experintal equipnt is antiquated, markedly different from contemporary equipnt.
Technology in the Wizards’ Realm has always been evolving. Ancient things, including technology, knowledge, and equipnt, are not necessarily inferior; but they certainly aren’t as suitable as contemporary ones.
Just as Kimberly from Black Castle obtained chanical alchemy techniques from hundreds of years ago during her travels, those alchemy techniques were the most advanced of their ti, yet what she is most eager for now is to study in the Sky chanical City.
In a world with no cultural breaks, modern technology is undoubtedly more apt for current tis than ancient technology.
Of course, these antiquated experintal equipnt are not unusable, just not as convenient nowadays.
Apart from the equipnt, Angel is still quite satisfied with the layout of this laboratory; it’s of standard laboratory design, even larger than his laboratory in Source of Flow, with many appropriate experintal compartnts based on the experints.
Angel is particularly interested in the alchemy laboratory.
Angel found the alchemy laboratory at a deep location; upon opening the door, his brow furrowed.
Although there was no dust, the inside was a ss, with many experintal tools thrown to the ground and equipnt haphazardly placed on the experint table.
Compared to the external research laboratory, this seed to have been pillaged.
Moreover, Angel noticed that the experintal equipnt in the alchemy laboratory is even older than those outside.
The external research laboratory’s equipnt dates back a few hundred years; the alchemy laboratory’s equipnt is at least a millennium old.
This led Angel to speculate that these alchemy tools might have been left by the ruins’ first owner.
As for the ruins’ second owner—Tizarro, because he wasn’t skilled in alchemy, he piled various alchemy tools here carelessly, while his own experintal equipnt was placed in the outside laboratory.
Angel did not imdiately tidy up the chaotic alchemy laboratory but exited directly.
Although Angel is very interested in the alchemy laboratory, it doesn’t an he needs to delve into it imdiately. More importantly now, he needs to consolidate himself; he won’t be using the alchemy laboratory for the ti being.
After exiting the alchemy laboratory, Angel didn’t leave the area directly but headed to another experintal compartnt several ters away.
He could clearly sense that there was sothing inside resonating with the Tizarro’s No.117 Experintal Record (Upper Volu) in his pocket.
Presumably, it was the lower volu of the experintal record.
Angel opened the door of this compartnt and at once saw a bundle of scrolls on the control platform, which was indeed the lower volu of the No.117 Experintal Record.
Glancing around this laboratory, there were many large nurturing tanks, generally used for nurturing biological entities. However, these nurturing tanks were empty.
Angel guessed that Tizarro’s No.117 experint was likely related to biology.
Whatever specific experint it was, he would know after reading the experintal record. So Angel didn’t think much about it and prepared to take the lower volu back to the study upstairs.
Just as Angel picked up the scroll, a “clack-clack” sound suddenly ca from inside the control platform.
Angel frowned, only to see the lower volu of the experintal record pressing down on a protruding button on the control platform. When he picked up the scroll, this button was automatically triggered.
Angel didn’t know what this button controlled or what would happen, but to be on the safe side, he cautiously retreated from the laboratory.
After nearly five minutes without any activity inside, Angel re-entered the inner chamber.
It was as calm as before.
The only difference was that in the center of the control platform, a podium had risen.
On the podium sat a jet-black iron box.
