Bella Acker took his phone and tried to unlock it with the previous password, and surprisingly, it worked.
He had heartlessly blocked her number, yet hadn’t changed the unlock password.
Does this an he’s actually just pretending to be heartless, while truly still holding onto sothing?
Bella was a bit pleasantly surprised, and the corners of her mouth involuntarily turned up slightly.
She swiped through the phone’s hopage, searching for a while only to find that there was no Weibo app installed.
"Damian, you don’t use Weibo?" Bella looked up at him in surprise.
"No." Damian Sinclair walked past, holding the clean sheets.
Bella tapped twice and followed him, "Then how did you see those scandal photos before? Was it President Lloyd who gave them to you?"
"Yes." Damian didn’t deny it.
Bella looked at his expression and tentatively asked, "So President Lloyd sending als every day was also because of you?"
"Yep." It wasn’t a secret; she’d know sooner or later, Damian saw no need to hide it.
She hadn’t asked before, and he hadn’t gone out of his way to ntion it.
"No wonder," Bella nodded, "I wondered why soone like , a complete nobody, would warrant President Lloyd specially sending als even for an apology over previous incidents, and they kept coming with a hint of wanting favor. If it was to please you, that makes sense."
Damian didn’t respond, and hung the sheets onto the drying rods.
Bella’s mood improved greatly, she downloaded the Weibo app and directly logged into her account to show him the comparison photo online, "Look, have a look yourself."
Damian glanced at her and took the phone.
The screen only showed a composite image of two pictures.
One was the previously circulated life kiss photo of Bella Acker and Archer Quinn, the other was a still from the film set.
Except for the different backgrounds, everything else was identical, even the angle at which Archer Quinn held Bella’s chin.
Bella said, "The photo exposed online of kissing Senior Quinn was actually a photoshopped drama still, it’s not what you think at all."
"Why didn’t you say this at the ti?" Damian looked at her.
"You were so fierce over the phone, and I got scared myself looking at the photos. I could only think that the photos were manipulated, but couldn’t be sure. The background and even our clothing and makeup were photoshopped to look like everyday attire, how could I have thought of all this in a mont?" Bella pouted a bit aggrievedly, "You were so angry, my mind was only thinking about how to explain to you, and then you blocked my number, making it impossible to reach you. I... my head was full of thoughts about you, my heart was hurting, there was no way I could think of the film stills."
As Bella said this, she thought of the harsh words he had previously said, causing her heart to ache again, tears welling in her eyes.
Damian watched her, wanting to reach out and wipe away her tears, but his fingers twitched, unable to reach out.
They stood like this for a while, then Damian dialed a number.
Once connected, Damian asked, "Miles Lawson, had you determined the photo had a replaced background at that ti?"
Miles replied from the other end, "Yes. But President Sinclair seed only interested in whether the photos were composite at the ti, not in other matters, so I didn’t say more."
