This is the newly built pavilion. It is the sa place where Aeryon and his wife fought against each other
Mayeux could not help but smiles bitterly. Aeryon chooses this place to et him. There must be so aning to that.
Mayeux is not afraid of being punished. And he would not defend himself if Aeryon wanted to punish him
He is just disappointed that he failed at the last mont. Even now, he did not think he was wrong. Ayera is a danger and more burden to Aeryon.

If it was any other man in the tribe, hearing Aeryon ask for the honour of standing beside him, that person would be filled with fear.
What does it an to stand beside the Kan?
Do you want to usurps the position of the Kan? Is the Kan suspecting you of sothing? Or is the Kan about to trap you and coerce you with morality?
The higher the position, the higher the intrigue
But Mayeux, almost like he didn’t understand such complications, walks and stand beside Aeryon like it was the most natural thing to do
Other than Belarion, he is the only one who dares to do so.
But there is a difference.
If it was Belarion, Aeryon would not think too much of him.
Belarion relationship with him is like a devoted brother and they both would sacrifice each other lives for the others
This kind of brotherhood is rare and Aeryon very much cherished it and Belarion action would only serve to shows their closeness that they did not need to think of such intrigue’s plots and sches
As for Mayeux, it was different.
