Chapter 45. The Domineering Yuan Ancestor—Do You Dare Question ?!

The Yuan Ancestor spoke unhurriedly.

When he finished, the pupils of everyone present contracted sharply.

A token?

That token had actually been personally bestowed upon Chu Feng by the Yuan Ancestor!

The four Imperial Princes felt an absurdity they could scarcely process. What kind of existence was the Yuan Ancestor? He was the true trump card of the Great Chu Dynasty. Even across the entire Eastern Wasteland, he stood among the most unparalleled supre experts.

In his youth, he had once suppressed an entire era as a peerless prodigy.

For countless years, the Yuan Ancestor had remained in seclusion, rarely ever appearing.

In the past, there had been proud prodigies—such as the First Prince—who had attempted to seek him out for personal instruction.

Yet they had not even glimpsed his shadow. It was as though he had deliberately avoided them.

And now—

The Yuan Ancestor had personally granted Chu Feng a token.

The aning behind that signal was enough to provoke deep contemplation.

It ant that this terrifying, towering figure held extraordinarily high expectations for Chu Feng’s future.

A heavy silence settled over everyone’s hearts.

No one had anticipated that behind Chu Feng stood such a colossal existence.

What was background?

In comparison, Chu Feng’s maternal clan—the Yu Family—seed insignificant.

The Yu Family was powerful, but compared to the foundation of the Great Chu Dynasty, it was still inferior.

The Chu Emperor did not speak.

At this mont, the Yuan Ancestor continued calmly,

“How has the Great Chu Dynasty endured until today and maintained its standing in the Eastern Wasteland?”

“It is because in every generation, unparalleled prodigies have risen like teors!”

“In this generation, a prodigy like Chu Feng has erged. And how have you treated him? You actually activated the Heavenly Illumination Mirror!”

The Yuan Ancestor’s tone grew sharper with every word.

“Hmph. A peerless prodigy naturally carries heaven-shaking secrets. Yet you sought to use the Heavenly Illumination Mirror to pry into the secrets upon him? The baseness of such thods truly astonishes this old man.”

He reprimanded them rcilessly, and an aura that seed to press down upon all ages spread outward.

The four Imperial Princes’ faces flushed red under the pressure.

Even the Chu Emperor, who had risen to his feet, looked sowhat displeased. He spoke slowly,

“Yuan Ancestor, you misunderstand.”

“No matter what, Chu Feng is my own son. How could I covet the opportunities upon him?”

“It is only that during this Heavenly Hunt Ceremony, my other son perished, and Chu Feng cannot be separated from the matter. Furthermore, his sudden rise is suspicious. I feared he might have been possessed or controlled, which is why I used—”

His voice carried more strength than before.

But the Yuan Ancestor cut him off coldly.

“Are you questioning this old man’s judgnt?”

“I have already granted him my token, and yet you still harbor doubts?”

“Are you doubting him—or are you suggesting that this old man harbors ulterior motives?”

“Chu Emperor, do you also believe that I have been possessed or controlled by so sinister existence?”

His words were chilling to the bone.

When the Yuan Ancestor first appeared, he had seed like an ordinary old man, without the slightest oppressive aura.

But as he continued speaking, his terrifying presence intensified, pressing down upon every single person present.

Nearly everyone felt imnse pressure. More than half turned red in the face, struggling to breathe.

Shock filled their hearts.

Just how powerful was the Yuan Ancestor?

This oppressive force was unprecedented.

Even if the four Imperial Princes combined their strength, they likely would not amount to even one percent of his might!

Before the Dragon Throne, the Chu Emperor’s expression turned cold.

As the Holy Emperor of Great Chu, his status should have been supre. The entire dynasty was his domain; none should dare reprimand him.

Yet the Yuan Ancestor could.

His status was simply too exalted—an ancient pillar of the Great Chu Dynasty, a living fossil, its absolute final safeguard.

“Yuan Ancestor, your instruction is just,” the Chu Emperor said slowly.

The Yuan Ancestor glanced at him and replied indifferently,

“Chu Emperor, ever since your failed breakthrough, your vitality has been severely damaged. Even your origin has been wounded. Your ti is limited. You should focus on recuperating.”

The Chu Emperor’s expression returned to calm.

“Thank you for your concern, Yuan Ancestor.”

After speaking—

The Yuan Ancestor’s phantom slowly turned and faced Chu Feng.

Chu Feng’s expression grew solemn as he bowed slightly.

“Yuan Ancestor.”

The Yuan Ancestor smiled faintly.

“I did not expect that in just a few days, you would have grown even stronger.”

“The Star Lodges Diagram Record—how many lodges have you cultivated to?”

Chu Feng froze briefly, then answered respectfully,

“Reporting to Yuan Ancestor, this junior has already cultivated one of the Four Symbols—the White Tiger’s Seven Lodges.”

“What?”

The Yuan Ancestor’s phantom visibly paused.

He stared deeply at Chu Feng, and clear astonishnt could be seen in his eyes.

“Good. Good.”

He said it twice in succession.

“The future of Great Chu will have a place for you.”

Chu Feng nodded slightly, relief settling within him.

The Yuan Ancestor’s appearance had resolved everything.

All doubts—every suspicion—had been utterly shattered.

Even the Chu Emperor had been publicly reprimanded.

At this point, who would still dare question his identity?

The Yuan Ancestor’s status far exceeded Chu Feng’s original expectations. He was clearly a stabilizing pillar of the Great Chu Dynasty—his standing seemingly even above that of the Chu Emperor.

With such a supre giant standing behind him, Chu Feng’s identity was now completely secured.

No one would dare question him again.

The Yuan Ancestor turned once more, hands clasped behind his back, his indifferent gaze sweeping across the hall.

“Chu Feng has no issue whatsoever. If anyone dares to use possession or any other excuse to probe his secrets—or to bully the young with seniority—this old man will show no rcy.”

His tone was light, and he did not release even a trace of killing intent.

Yet those present—especially the four Imperial Princes—felt their hearts tighten with profound fear.

After finishing those words, the Yuan Ancestor’s figure gradually faded, disappearing completely.

Buzz.

The token that had shone with divine radiance grew calm and returned to Chu Feng’s hand.

“Hu…”

Chu Feng exhaled softly, his resolve firming.

That had been perilous beyond asure.

First, the four Imperial Princes had attacked. Then the Chu Emperor had even activated the Heavenly Illumination Mirror, seemingly intent on thoroughly probing him.

Impersonating a prince was truly like walking on thin ice—each step hovered over a bottomless abyss.

If he were exposed, he would fall into eternal darkness, never to be redeed.

After the Yuan Ancestor vanished, the hall fell into deathly silence.

The four Imperial Princes’ expressions were incomparably grim.

With the Yuan Ancestor’s guarantee, would they still dare use this matter to trouble Chu Feng?

Absolutely not.

With the Yuan Ancestor backing him, anyone who continued to bully the young with seniority would simply be courting death.

“Your Majesty, I shall take my leave first.”

Prince Chenyuan spoke coldly and vanished from sight.

Soon after, Prince Tianji and Prince Jiuxiao also found excuses to depart.

Beside Prince Canghai, Consort Yun stared blankly at everything that had transpired.

With the Yuan Ancestor standing behind Chu Feng, seeking vengeance for her son now seed impossible.

Yet she was still unwilling to accept it. Gritting her teeth, she tried to speak.

“Your Maj—”

But before she could finish, Prince Canghai stopped her.
