"You idiot, foolish, stupid..."

Isabella must’ve muttered every insult she knew as she continued to cry on my shoulder.

She was so awkward when it ca to expressing her emotions.

It made wonder what she would be like as a mother?

What would Sylvie be like?

How would I change from it?

The logic part of my brain was screaming at , calling an idiot.

Who would have children in the apocalypse? At the age of 18, no less. Around the sa ti when the babies will be born, Conquest will be arriving. I’ll have to deal with him while sohow managing to be soone’s father.

While another part felt happy. It was a joy I had never felt before in my life. Being their alpha, Sylvie and Isabella could feel how I truly felt in that mont, so I didn’t have to tell them.

I can’t die. I had to live. I won’t allow myself to be killed.

Suddenly, Sylvie lifted up her head, which was lying on my chest, and stared up at . Her eyes were lined with tears, and her cheeks were wet from all the crying.

"Lee, you don’t seem surprised," Sylvie said, which caused Isabella to pause crying to stare at in suspicion too.

"Yes, you’re right, Sylvie. It’s almost like he brought us to this room so we could confess," Isabella agreed, and now both girls were looking at suspiciously.

In short, they were right. I already knew about them being pregnant. From the mont I t soone, I could tell things about their bodies that they themselves didn’t know. I probably knew about the two of them.

Plus, even if I couldn’t use my enhanced senses to figure it out, the two of them made it obvious. Especially Isabella. I would’ve figured sothing was wrong from the night I defeated Cassian.

She ca to my room, saying we needed to talk, only to storm out after we hugged. There was also the ti when she refused to drink alcohol when we were celebrating the kitsune joining my pack. And during our training, she was usually the first to get tired out.

Even recently, a night ago, when I touched her stomach, it caused her to recoil and run off.

"If you knew, then you should’ve told us. Sylvie and I were worried that I might distract you and even compromise everything you were trying to do," Isabella said.

I smiled and patted them both on the head.

"Thank you for your concerns, but the next ti this happens, you don’t have to worry..."

"Next ti?" Isabella quickly cut off. "What do you an next ti?"

"Anyway, I must go. Damian is getting closer. He’ll find us in a matter of ti at this rate," I said, releasing the two girls and exiting the room into the main room where the others were waiting for us.

Seeing that I likely didn’t have much ti, I hurriedly explained my plan to everyone else.

"It is decided. I’ll hold off Damian while the rest of my pack handle the takeover of this city," I explained.

This is all so crazy. All my battles with Damian lasted less than a minute, and now I must survive against him for God knows how long.

Even I was starting to see how ridiculous this all was. But all I needed to do was survive. My goal wasn’t to kill him. It was just to survive his attacks and keep his attention on .

After saying my goodbyes to everyone, I left the building they were all in. I stepped out into the streets littered with corpses and the crumbled fragnts of buildings. Damian looked as if he was on a rampage searching for us.

The shadows at my feet began to widen, and soon Cerberus’s giant black figure stepped out along with 50 shadow hounds, each the size of dire wolves. They were previously fighting against the witch of sloth, but I summoned them since I needed their help.

I sent half of my shadow hounds to various parts of the city while the other half stayed with . Afterwards, I continued to where Damian was. I spotted him from the top of a building. He was decimating a horde of ghouls.

He stood in the middle of what must’ve been a hundred corpses. I watched him, feeling a sense of dread from having to face this monster, but just as that thought crossed my mind, his eyes t mine.

I was two miles away standing on top of a rooftop. He wasn’t supposed to see , but yet he did. I imdiately went on guard even though I didn’t need to. He was 2 miles away; he couldn’t possibly...

All that I saw was a black streak and a blurry outline of a face in front of and a hand targeting my heart, and that was all I needed. I switched places with one of my shadow hounds who were about a mile away.

Switching places with the shadow hound, I collapsed and fell on my back in disbelief. My heart was pounding out of my chest.

"1 second."

That was all it took for him to close the distance between 2 miles.

What kind of monster travels 2 miles in 1 second!

If it wasn’t for my shadow hounds, I would be dead right now.

Yet still, I had to keep him occupied. If I get too far away, he will attack my pack. Taking a deep breath, I climbed to my feet. The building I was currently on was just roughly a mile out from where Damian was, and just like last ti, he saw .

Our eyes t once again. This ti, though, I was ready for his speed. He appeared in front of in an instant, but in the sa instant, I was already gone. This ti, though, I appeared just above his head with my claws raised, aiming for his neck.

While Cerberus and the Dullahan appeared to the right and left of him for a pincer attack.
