Chapter 19: A Tiger Among Sheep! Starfall Longsword!

With Clarsen absent, so many students were causing trouble in her sword room.

She had been in seclusion for so long—this was the perfect opportunity to show off.

“Activity?” The Squires were montarily at a loss upon hearing this.

Did Eve Sova an… she was going to fight?

“Miss Eve Sova, what do you an?” Rog’s tone imdiately softened, becoming respectful.

All along, many Knight’s Squires had secretly paid attention to Eve Sova because of her beauty and talent—Rog included.

Eve Sova tightened the guard on her wrist, a faint smile curling at her lips. “Co. All of you attack with full force. Whoever manages to touch my body—this sword will be theirs.”

She pointed at the silver longsword hanging at her waist.

This sword had been a birthday gift from Laforin on her tenth birthday. Its na was Starfall.

The blade was nearly a ter long, its silver scabbard engraved with flowing patterns.

The silver guard near the hilt tapered toward the end, resembling the trailing tail of a teor.

Rumor had it that the sword was forged from teorite iron, crafted over several months by artisans of the Danlun Kingdom.

This single sword alone was worth ten gold coins.

As she spoke, Eve Sova took a cloth from the side and tied it over her eyes.

The dozens of Squires present looked at one another, unsure of what she intended.

Many of them had heard rumors that she had defeated Clarsen.

But those were only rumors—they had never personally seen her fight.

So Squires, seeing her remove her sword, began to grow restless.

No matter how strong Eve Sova was, there were dozens of them—and she was blindfolded. Surely, if they all attacked together, at least one of them could touch her.

Knights upheld honesty as a code. Since she had said it, she had to honor her word.

Thinking this, Rog and several of the more experienced Squires exchanged glances before slowly approaching Eve Sova. “Then, Miss Eve Sova, we apologize in advance.”

“Co on. I’ve even covered my eyes—why are you still hesitating?” Even more arrogantly, Eve Sova removed the sword at her waist and flung it backward.

Seng!

The Starfall Longsword flew out of its scabbard.

With a sharp clang, it embedded itself into the rock wall behind her.

A third of the blade pierced into the stone, the hilt trembling violently with a buzzing hum.

Holding the silver scabbard, Eve Sova curled her finger toward the crowd.

“Go!”

Rog took the lead, stepping forward in a flash. His Iron Sword thrust fiercely toward Eve Sova’s right shoulder.

He had no intention of defeating her.

He only needed to touch her body to win.

Among all sword techniques, the thrust was the most direct—and best suited for sudden attacks.

But the mont Rog made his move, Eve Sova’s ears twitched, as if sensing sothing.

Just as the tip of the sword approached, she stepped back half a pace and turned sideways, effortlessly dodging the strike.

At the sa ti—

Clang!

To everyone’s shock, Rog’s sword plunged straight into Eve Sova’s scabbard.

With a twist of her wrist—

Bang!

The end of the scabbard slamd heavily into Rog’s shoulder, knocking him to the ground.

So strong!

All the Knight’s Squires present were stunned.

What astonishing sensory perception.

She not only avoided the blade but precisely intercepted the trajectory of the thrust—and all of this while blindfolded.

Her movents were so fast that most people could barely see them, like an exquisitely perford magic trick.

Seng!

Eve Sova flung Rog’s sword into the rock wall behind her.

But imdiately after, four confident Squires attacked simultaneously from four directions.

If one wasn’t enough—then four at once.

Four Iron Swords targeted her shoulders, chest, and abdon.

They had effectively sealed off all her avenues of evasion.

Yet Eve Sova showed no panic. Her ears twitched—she was already fully prepared.

In an instant, she twisted her foot, generating a gust of force.

Circular Slash!

The scabbard in her hand swept out in a rapid arc.

In that mont, the reflected silver light resembled a full moon.

Amid several tallic clashes—

the four were blasted away by a trendous force, their swords flying from their hands.

Without stopping, Eve Sova neutralized their attack and drove forward, pressing the scabbard against one Squire as she charged.

The Squire was slamd heavily into the wall.

By now, Eve Sova had rushed straight into the center of all the Squires.

A smile lingered on her lips—clear provocation.

Provoking everyone present.

“This is too slow. If you don’t want to get beaten, co at all at once.”

Holding the scabbard in reverse, Eve Sova stood like a fierce tiger among sheep, looking down upon the surrounding Squires.

At her demand, all the Squires surged toward her like a swarm of bees leaving the hive.

Eve Sova remained calm.

Her rear foot stamped down, shattering the stone tiles beneath her.

With a burst of force, her body seed to turn into an afterimage.

Her speed was astonishing, her movents like a nimble cat weaving through a forest.

In contrast, the other Squires were like wooden posts.

They only felt a gust of wind pass before them—then a sharp pain in their wrists, and their swords were knocked from their hands.

The clatter of iron and wooden swords hitting the ground rang out continuously.

In just a few seconds,

Eve Sova’s assault swept through them like an autumn gale scattering fallen leaves, leaving every Squire disard.

Now, she stood with her hands behind her back, holding the scabbard in reverse, regulating her breathing.

Sunlight stread through the stone windows, casting over her pale face, making her seem even colder.

Though blindfolded, she could imagine the expressions on the faces of these youngsters.

Clearly, she was very satisfied with her performance.

At this mont, the vast sword room was filled only with the heavy breathing of the Squires.

Eve Sova thoroughly enjoyed this mont of silence.

Because she knew that what followed would be a wave of astonishnt.

“My goodness… that was… that was incredible.”

“So fast… like a ghost, like a phantom.”

“I… I only felt a fragrant breeze pass by.”

A few flatterers had already begun speaking up.

Listening to the admiration from all directions, Eve Sova felt a surge of satisfaction.

The reactions of these youngsters pleased her greatly.

If training in swordsmanship wasn’t for showing off, then what was the point of working so hard every day?

But in the next mont, her brows furrowed slightly. “There’s still one person. Leo—what, don’t dare to make a move?”

But just as everyone turned to look at Leo—

Whoosh!

A sharp sound of air splitting suddenly rushed toward Eve Sova.

Her brow twitched instantly.

She felt a pressure of wind rushing at her face.

In the blink of an eye, Leo’s sweat cloth had already reached her.

At the sa ti, his Iron Sword angled downward. In two swift steps, using the cloth as cover, he swung his blade.

“Teacher, excuse .”

This strike rose from below, smooth and flawless—speed that could only be achieved by mastering the fundantals to their peak.

The ten-pound Iron Sword let out a deep, low whistle.
