"Ok… I don't know what else to say here… I guess it's my luck to et two monsters in mixing," Ragbar groaned.
Amber giggled, "This is normal for Tera~"
Well.. Obviously at this point I realised that what I did wasn't possible for a complete newbie to do. To be honest, I really was just trying my best not to screw things up and I was basically reacting mostly on instinct.
I figured that perhaps one of the perks I had taken during the character creation might have helped in this but I don't know which one.
He raised an eyebrow at Amber before turning back to the glass I had placed on the counter.
"Well, I guess you have so talent but how does it taste?"
He went over to pick up the glass and I watched him bring the glass up to take a sip, waiting to see what opinion he had of it.
The drink first touched his lips and a little bit of it went into his mouth. Then I saw his throat move which indicated he had swallowed the liquid.
I thought he would then lower the glass and give the verdict but then he paused for a mont before he started to down the rest of the drink without pause.
Eh? I may not be an alcohol connoisseur but I think people don't normally go around just tossing back glasses of cocktail like that, do they?
He finished the entire glass before slowly placing the empty cup down on the counter.
"H… How?" He whispered, still staring at the glass he had just put down. "She just… This is… I don't understand…"
Valiea huffed, "It's like nothing you have ever tasted, right?"
He looked at , "But how?"
I'm pretty sure the answer lay within the perks that I had chosen for myself but obviously I couldn't tell him that…
I shrugged, "Honestly, I don't really know…"
Valiea crossed her arms in front of her, "The drink you made for … How did you make it? More specifically, how were you able to co up with a mix like that?"
Oh this I can answer~
"I simply tried each of them to get an idea of how they taste to figure out what kind of combination would work for them."
"Wait… Are you saying that you've just been making things up the entire ti?"
I huffed, "That's not it, ok? I rember the taste of the things I put in my mouth so that I could figure out what combinations sh well together to make them taste better. Like… Where's your synthfruits?"
Valiea paused for a mont before reaching below the bar to open what looked like a fridge, pulling out a transparent container which she then placed on the bar counter and slid over to .
I popped open the lid to see pretty much the sa synthfruits that I found back in the club so there was no need for to taste any of these again.
I took out the pieces I needed before nodding at them, "Sotis you want the alcohol to have a sour taste like li, right? That's why you mix in the synth li or whatever this is called?"
Valiea nodded, "That's a basic mix in bartending, no?"
"Right, so just the synth li by itself… Do you think it's good enough to be mixed into the drink?"
Both Ragbar and his wife tilted their heads at .
"I think… It's ok?"
"I have no complaints about it either."
I blinked at the both of them, "Wait… Have you tasted organic li before?"
Ragbar chuckled, "We may be doing well for ourselves but it's not to the point that we can indulge in pointless luxuries like that. I an… We might have indulged in the rare organic als once or twice a month but we're not going to just buy organic ingredients for the novelty of having it."
What? Novelty of having it?
Ah… That's my mistake…
For who knows what real li tastes like, I would know that this synth li doesn't even co close to the real thing as its taste was really just lacking in comparison.
But for them, I guess getting an organic li is like a normal family in my universe choosing between square waterlons and the normal waterlons.
Thus, they basically don't know what they are missing out on.
Alright then, I guess I'll need to make so to give them a taste of it so that they'll know the difference.
I went ahead to start crushing the synthfruits that I had picked up on top of the bar and mixing the bits together before leaving them
I then looked at the resulting crushed bits and I realised there was a small problem…
Err… I don't think I can just tell them to take this pile and throw it in their mouth to taste this…
I looked around and I saw what looked like a juicer so I pointed to it, "Can I use that?"
Ragbar raised an eyebrow at , "Do you know how to use that?"
"That's a juicer right? Is there anything I should know about operating it?"
"Wait… You know what a juicer is?"
Ahh… Right… Another mistake of mine…
I cleared my throat and gestured to myself, "I can cook… Manually."
There were two sharp intakes of breaths coming from the couple.
They were now just staring at with wide eyes so I'll just take that as them giving permission to use it.
I went to the machine and dropped the crushed fruits into the juicer before looking for the on switch… Which didn't really take long because it was the only button on the side.
I pushed down on it and the blades ca to life while I held down the top, watching the synthfruit get smashed up and turned into liquid.
Once it was done, the liquid flowed into a glass container at the side which I then detached from the machine to pour it into two shot glasses.
I only took a few of those fruits so the result was only just a small amount of liquid which barely added up to a mouthful but this is supposed to just be a taste anyway so I just handed them to the couple.
They took a glass each and stared at the glass before looking up at at the sa ti.
"What? Are you waiting for permission or sothing? Go ahead," I chuckled.
They looked back down at the glass before they brought it up to their lips and tasted the li juice that I made.
After the liquid disappeared from their glasses, they lowered their arms and stared at the empty shot glass without saying a word.
I turned back to Amber and Mara, "Do you two want sothing to drink as well?"
Mara smiled at , "Oh my~ How decadent, Tera~ We don't mind just watching you work."
I peeked at the couple and they were still staring at the shot glasses and not moving.
"Ragbar? Valiea?" I called out.
They raised their heads to look at with blank expressions.
"Do you mind if I just try whipping up a few drinks for all of us?"
They didn't react for a good few seconds before they nodded their heads simultaneously, still keeping that blank look on their faces.
"Alright, do you mind if I tried tasting your drinks? Are there any bottles that I shouldn't touch?"
The paused and I noticed Ragbar's eyes darting to the top of the shelf behind for a split second before he shook his head at the sa ti Valiea did.
I'm guessing the top shelf liquors are the really expensive ones but he couldn't bring himself to tell no.
It's ok, I don't need expensive liquors to make a good drink in the first place so I won't be using those, relax.
I took a few of the bottles that look on the cheaper side and poured them out to taste them.
Hmm… Ok, I think I can make four different drinks… No, five. One for each of us.
And since I already figured out that I most likely have perks that would help do tricks without screwing up… Let's see how far I can go! These bottles don't shatter anyway, right? So might as well just do whatever I want with them~
I lined up five glasses in front of , then lined up five different cocktail mixers before placing the bottles I wanted into the speed rails in my well.
I then took a short mont to prepare so of the synthfruits to turn them into juices as well before placing them into glasses which I intend to use for my mixes later on.
Alright, now that everything is prepared, I cracked my knuckles and began to work. Let's try to do the craziest stunts I can just to see how far I can push this perk!
