Nothing else happened for the day and we retired back to our rooms for the night... After I gave them the usual loving where they had fun in my room of course.
The next morning, we were scheduled for more testing so I headed to the sa place with the girls where we had first assembled yesterday.
The others were already there although Gary hadn’t arrived yet so it wasn’t like we were late or anything.
Incidentally, I tried to look for those people who tried to stop from going inside the ss hall yesterday but I realised they were nowhere to be found.
Maybe they took a day off or sothing?
I guess it would be pretty awkward to show your face after getting your ass beat like I did to them... And they most likely got a reprimand from the managent or sothing if I had to guess.
Hmm... Then it might actually be a case where they got suspended? I dunno.
Anyway... It seems like the other test pilots were still looking at us with odd gazes so they probably don’t know about what happened to yesterday yet.
Which was fine with since I didn’t really want them to have another reason to find trouble with .
Speaking of which... My girls really look hot in those pilot suits of theirs...
While I was admiring how tight their bodies looked in those suits, Gary appeared, our supposed team leader walking briskly towards us.
He shot our group a noticeable look, though I wasn’t sure what the reason was, before he stood in front of all of us.
"Morning everyone. Another day, another testing. Yesterday we were piloting the prototype tenth generation Cavalier series. Today they want us to test out another prototype, this one still unnad and would be a new series. They only have a few units this ti so we only need a few pilots. The rest of you will be helping out with the simulators. When I call your nas, step forward, you will be participating in the physical testing."
He then brought out his personal terminal and projected a screen in front of him which he used to read out the nas.
"Adam... Byul... Hailey... Piotr... Rimaine... Tera... Viraj... Yumiko. All of you in front of ."
I wasn’t surprised to be chosen so I stepped in front of him alongside the others that have been called out.
Hmm... Not counting myself, it seems like there’s three guys and four girls that were selected for this.
I’m not sure they were only picking the best since Amber would have been chosen over them as she was definitely a better pilot than these were.
I’m guessing they were trying to field a range of different skilled pilots to test the Exo-Knight this ti.
The rest of the pilots who weren’t called were told to head to the simulator room and they started making their way there, my girls also following along after giving a wave.
I’ll just ignore the fact that they were also shooting Yumiko envious gazes which she took with a visible shudder.
As for my group, we were led to the hangar once again with Gary leading the way, which most likely ant he was also going to join us as a test pilot as well.
We reached the hangar to see a different Exo-Knight being docked in the maintenance bays.
This ti, instead of being a mass of triangular shapes clustered together, these ones had a more distinctly human shape though their chest was much bigger and their shoulders had distinctly large shoulder pauldrons on them.
On their left arm was a tower shield and the head made think of the word ’Centurion’, especially when I spotted the energy blade handle that was jutting out from the left hip.
Gary said that this has yet to be nad but I’m already prepared to call this a Centurion if you ask .
One of the test pilots whistled at the sight of the Exo-Knight before we were instructed to head towards one of them and to strap ourselves in.
I got assigned to one that was at the end and I noted that each of the Exo-Knights here were marked with a number on the front of their chest and mine was marked with the number nine.
Seeing that only eight of us were called earlier, I’m assuming that I was right in thinking Gary was joining us as well.
As I got onto the platform to enter the Exo-Knight, I found a similar sight as yesterday where a researcher in a lab coat and an engineer in protective gear were standing in front of the Exo-Knight.
Unlike yesterday where they were just doing their own things, the two of them seed to be caught up in so kind of argunt.
"I’m telling you there’s definitely no problem with the build itself! You don’t even know what you’re looking at!!"
"Oh please, the simulation results already show the stats here that the issues we stated are going to be a thing. Yet you’re telling us that our numbers are wrong?"
"Your simulations don’t account for everything in reality!"
"We’re using the best simulations in the galaxy!! Even if it’s not a hundred percent, it’s still at least a ninety nine point nine nine percent!! Are you going to say that that’s not good enough?!"
"Yes!!"
"Then you are more delusional than I thought!"
"Ha!! You’ll see when the real test starts on who is right about this!"
I decided to make my presence known and cleared my throat to get their attention, causing them to jump slightly in surprise.
With both of them turned to , I could finally get a good look at them.
The researcher was dressed in the stereotypical lab coat that was worn over a white blouse that was clearly struggling to contain the massive chest of hers and a tight black skirt that hugged her curves. A pair of glasses rested on her face that seed to function more as a scanning device and an AR monitor than corrective lenses.
The most distinct part of her was the pair of ram horns that spiralled out from the top of her head, which I’m pretty sure was put there through gene modding and not sothing that was natural.
Next to her was a woman with an equally bombastic figure that was further emphasised by the fact that she was wearing a skintight black body suit that looked diaphanous and her privates were just barely covered by a set of blue overalls at the front.
On top of her head were two black bunny ears jutting out of her head of long, black hair and since her back was facing earlier, I already caught sight of the black bunny tail earlier.
I knew those ears were definitely also from a gene mod since I could also see a pair of human ears at the side of her head as well.
Both of them imdiately rushed towards but instead of greeting , they were inspecting up and down like I was so kind of new specin that they had just found.
"How interesting... She looks like a normal person though?"
"I still have trouble believing it myself... But the stats certainly don’t lie."
I cleared my throat again, "Ahem... Nice to et the both of you I guess?"
Both of them jumped back as though only just realising that I was an actual person standing in front of them.
"Ah! My apologies!" The researcher goatgirl bowed slightly. "I had been really interested in eting you after I saw the results of the tests that you have given us yesterday! I am Friederike, Head Researcher of this station and in charge of testing and making sure the machines run according to specifications."
The bunny girl gave a wave, "Sorry about that! I was also quite excited to et you as well! You can call Rosalia! Head Engineer here and in charge of building and designing the machines you see in front of you! Nice to et you!"
I nodded at them, "I suppose you already know that I’m one of the new test pilots here. You can just call Tera. So... Any reason why the two heads are standing in front of the Exo-Knight assigned to ? This isn’t a coincidence right?"
Both of them imdiately pointed a finger at each other and spoke up at the sa ti.
"Yes! I need you to prove to this bitch once and for all who is right!!"
Sohow, the both of them said the exact sa words at the sa ti...
They then started to glare at each other and it looked like they were about to co to blows.
Ahem... Seriously... I’m just here to bring your Exo-Knights out for test flights... Why does it feel like I’m going to be dragged into so kind of company drama here?
