More people sward in and I was once again busy with healing all of the injured Dungeoneers coming in.

The knights who were guarding the edge of the safe zone had also retreated from there and they had a healer amongst their ranks so they joined in on the healing.

They retreated not because there were too many monsters but because there were no more monsters.

My girls seem to have done a very thorough job of cleaning out the area around here of them so we didn't need to worry about more monsters coming to attack us anymore.

They're still not back though, so I assu they're still rescuing survivors and sending them back here.

Most of them seed to be ok with minimal injuries as they either got lucky or had a healer in their own party but there would be a few groups that stumble into the safe zone with heavy injuries or even carrying their dead comrades… Or what's left of them.

If it wasn't because of the fact that I've already witnessed death before, I would probably be feeling quite nauseous at what I was witnessing.

And apparently, so of the Dungeoneers were clearly new to this work so I saw a few throwing up in the corner when they saw the casualties.

I don't bla them… So I was quick to help those parties deal with their dead by offering to cremate them.

Yeah… If there was any doubt that this expedition was a failure, all of it would be gone by now after seeing the number of casualties.

After I finished healing the latest party and receiving a Mana Crystal from them, one of the knights approached and I recognised him as the leader of the group of knights sent to deal with this Dungeon.

He lowered his head slightly in a bow, "My lady, thank you for your assistance… There would have been way more casualties if not for your party."

I shook my head, "There's no need to thank . This was sothing that we all should do in a situation like this. Besides, it's not like I'm doing this for free either."

"Yes, but I would like to thank you all the sa. We should have been more cautious of this Dungeon since there were new monsters but we let our fears blind us and caused so many deaths because of it. We will properly compensate the parties affected by this and I will make sure that you are also rewarded for your help."

I read between the lines and I quickly understood what he might be trying to suggest.

"You want a favour from us?" I asked, trying to get him to get to the point.

He sucked in a breath before nodding, "That is correct. As you can see… With our current expedition, this can be considered a failure. We have not cleared enough monsters to ensure a Dungeon breakout doesn't happen and at this rate, we might be dealing with one in a few days."

"And you want my party to deal with it, I take it?"

He nodded, "That is what I was thinking of. Although you won't be handling this alone of course, there's a few other parties who are able to safely deal with the monsters in this Dungeon so they will be participating as well. I need to talk to my captain about this but we should be able to increase the price that we would be buying the Mana Crystals from you to make it worth your ti. I also believe that you will receive any support you need to deal with the Dungeon as well."

"How much are we talking here?"

"I cannot guarantee but I believe buying the Mana Crystals at twice the market rate should not be off the table."

Oh damn, they were already offering to buy them at fifty percent above market price so if it really gets bumped up to twice the market price… We would effectively be rewarded twice for every kill we make.

That's a pretty good deal if you ask .

"I see… So what's the plan for now?" I asked.

"We'll get everyone else out from here and we'll hand over our report to our captain for him to decide our next step. If you are interested in helping us with this plan, we will put you as one of the parties that would be helping us deal with the Dungeon in the report."

Fair enough.

"How long would this take then? Because it wouldn't make sense if it will take a few days for this to be decided."

"I would assu a day at most. Our Knight Captain has full authority over this situation so he would be able to make the decision pretty much instantly. Plus, he's already in discussion with his higher ups about the situation since this is an ergency."

Hmm… So I guess we'll probably need to spend a night in the city first before we get the news to return back to the Dungeon.

I suppose we could do that. I only realised that I actually haven't had a bath in a while now since we imdiately ca here after reaching the city and didn't stop at an inn at all.

"Aster. White Dragon's Sword Maidens. I'm currently a D rank as both a rcenary and Dungeoneer."

His scrobbling stopped and he looked up at with a raised eyebrow, "You're… D ranked?"

"Ah… I wasn't really active as a Dungeoneer or a rcenary until recently but I have been fighting monsters and training myself before this."

"If it isn't too rude of a question to ask… May I know what is the strongest monster that you have defeated on your own?"

I had to stop myself from saying Hiandoca where I fucked her into submission.

Still… One that I took down alone huh… I don't really rember so I just told him the first one that ca to mind.

"An Infant Crimson Dragon."

It's not actually the strongest one I fought since even the Pale Fiend was arguably stronger than the dragon but that was a demon and not a monster so I thought that didn't count.

And I definitely wasn't going to tell him I defeated Off-Worlders as well either.

"You… Took down an Infant Crimson Dragon on your own?" He asked.

I nodded slowly, wondering if this was a mistake to admit it.

He looked down at his notebook and scribbled sothing into it before looking back at , "What about your party mbers? Are they… Able to take down an Infant Crimson Dragon on their own as well?"

Oh, this I need to think about…

Let see… Katsuki could definitely do it no problem… She would be too fast for the dragon to do anything and even though she won't be able to kill it instantly, she would definitely be the winner in the end.

Odeta… No question about it. She would absolutely body the dragon and probably even swing it around like so kind of toy during the fight.

Lisa… Yeah, she definitely can. She has her Lunmancy which should both protect her and be a lethal weapon against the dragon.

Emilia would also have no problem just like Katsuki so she's definitely able to solo it.

And Delmare… I was prepared to doubt Delmare in beating the dragon alone but if she was actually serious, she would be able to use her Siren magic to sing to it and enrapture the dragon before killing it in cold blood.

So in that case…

I nodded at him, "Yes. By my estimates, they should be able to take on an Infant Crimson Dragon on their own as well."

"I take it that… You have fought one as a party before as well?"

I nodded again.

He scribbled sothing else into his notebook quickly before he snapped it shut.

"Understood. I will send a report to my Knight Captain about this and we should have an answer for you by tomorrow. Could I trouble you to bring your party to the Knight outpost tomorrow morning?"

"Of course."

"In that case, I thank you once again for your help. I will let you return to what you were doing before I interrupted you."

He turned around and left, leaving alone once again.

Before I could return to healing the injured Dungeoneers however, another person snuck up behind and wrapped their arms around my waist without warning.

I jumped a little in surprise but relaxed when I realised who it was.

"Was he trying to hit on you?" Lisa asked, nuzzling my neck from behind.

"No, just offered us more work I guess. We're staying in the city tonight by the way."

"Ohhh! Please get an inn with a bath! I'm dying to have a bath!"

See? What did I tell you? The girls want a bath too!"
