Su Anle ca out of the translation institute, and Sheng Jianan was already waiting at the door. In the sunlight, the man’s face appeared even more handso and striking.
Su Anle walked up to him, and Sheng Jianan smoothly took the large box she was holding: "All done?"
"Yes, we can book the flight back to B City for tomorrow."
Sheng Jianan didn’t speak, he just held the box and slowly walked towards the car.
It wasn’t until the evening that Sheng Jianan told Su Anle he had booked the flight for two days later, because he had things to handle in the next couple of days.
Su Anle didn’t think much of it, assuming it was probably sothing to do with the Shengshi Group.
The next day, Sheng Jianan got up early, moving silently so as not to wake Su Anle. By the ti Su Anle woke up, the house was already devoid of Sheng Jianan’s presence. It wasn’t until late afternoon that Sheng Jianan returned with two paper bags in hand.
As soon as Su Anle opened the door, she was greeted by a slightly odd, radiant smile.
"Where have you been?"
She had called him earlier, but no one answered, only receiving a text saying he was busy.
Now, seeing Sheng Jianan’s strange expression, Su Anle couldn’t help but want to laugh. Where exactly did he go to get this white-caked appearance?
Sheng Jianan entered and placed what he was holding on the dining table, carefully taking things out and showing them to Su Anle like a treasure.
Su Anle walked over to see two large boxes and four cups of milk tea on the table. Inside the boxes were croissants and a cheesecake.
Su Anle was stunned for a mont and glanced at the packaging on the bags. This was the cake shop she had ntioned to him that was very delicious, and the milk tea, needless to say, was from the tea shop she recomnded.
"You went to those two shops?"
Sheng Jianan didn’t answer; instead, filled with excitent, he handed a croissant to Su Anle: "Try it?"
Su Anle looked at him oddly. She had recomnded these two shops to him, and she was well aware of the taste. Why was he presenting them to her like a treasure?
Taking a bite, the outside was crisp, and the inside soft, a familiar taste.
"How is it? Tasty?"
Sheng Jianan’s eyes shone with hopeful light, slightly childish. Seeing his expression, Su Anle seed to understand sothing, swallowing the bread in her mouth and speaking in surprise: "You made this?"
"Is it good?"
Sheng Jianan still didn’t answer her question,, solely focused on the outco of "is it good."
Su Anle nodded, and Sheng Jianan’s smile grew even brighter.
"I’ve learned how to make it now, so that even in B City you can have it."
Su Anle was dumbfounded: "So, you spent the whole day learning this?"
Sheng Jianan nodded, and Su Anle was stunned again. Did he really need to? She had only ntioned it casually.
While Su Anle was in a daze, Sheng Jianan already led Su Weiyi out, along with Aunt, to also taste his craftsmanship. Making pastries requires skill; it’s not sothing that can be mastered in a day.
But for so reason, seeing Sheng Jianan’s confident appearance, Su Anle’s first reaction was to trust him.
Actually, it makes sense; whether he truly mastered it or not isn’t important. What matters is the motivation behind his actions.
After dinner, Su Anle and Sheng Jianan accompanied Su Weiyi for a little drawing session and took her out for a walk. Then, only when dusk arrived did they co back. Sheng Jianan handed Su Weiyi over to Aunt and himself took Su Anle out again.
"Where are we going?"
"You’ll know when we get there."
