The man’s arm reached over Jiayu’s head, pulled out the book, straightened it, and put it back.
Mu Ke did this out of sheer compulsion; his things had to be neatly arranged. As he straightened the book and his hand rested on the shelf, his gaze shifted slightly, noticing Jiayu’s flushed cheeks, and he finally beca aware that sothing was off.
He was much taller than Jiayu, and their bodies were quite close. Jiayu had just turned around, so she was now facing him. His hands were on the bookshelf, effectively trapping Jiayu in the narrow space between him and the bookshelf.
This posture was undeniably intimate.
Jiayu’s cheeks were flushed, and Mu Ke could feel the hormones running wildly inside him.
He looked down at the top of the woman’s head in his arms, her hair was jet-black and smooth, though a few fine, soft strands were rebelliously ssy.
Mu Ke’s Adam’s apple moved up and down as he lightly swallowed.
Their relationship was still new, and Mu Ke had been restraining his instincts. He knew she hadn’t fully accepted him yet, and he was willing to wait, giving her enough respect.
But perhaps the atmosphere was too intimate, or perhaps Jiayu’s blushing cheeks were too enticing.
Mu Ke could feel his rationality being gradually devoured. He looked at her smooth hair, her clear forehead, her small nose, and that hint of redness.
Mu Ke licked his lips, and his slender fingers gently tilted Jiayu’s chin.
Their breath tangled in the close proximity, the man’s handso face slowly approached.
Mu Ke’s kiss was very gentle, very soft, and slow, not impatient at all, like he was kissing a rare treasure.
Jiayu slowly beca imrsed in his kiss, just like the feeling Mu Ke gave her — cold yet inexplicably domineering.
Their lips and teeth intertwined, and the warmth between their breaths gradually grew. Mu Ke’s hands completely encircled Jiayu’s body, locking her securely in his embrace.
Jiayu’s mind wasn’t in chaos; she was very aware that she didn’t reject Mu Ke’s kiss.
No man had ever kissed her so patiently before, a kiss simply desiring closeness, without any ulterior motives.
Jiayu didn’t know why, but her nose inexplicably felt a bit sour, and she forced back the tears that threatened to escape her tightly closed eyes.
This was it; she felt more and more unlike herself.
The Jiayu from before was never so sentintal.
After about five minutes, Mu Ke slowly released her. Jiayu’s entire face was red, and her eyes were watery.
Mu Ke gave her a deep look, then imdiately turned around and walked out.
Jiayu didn’t chase after him. She roughly knew what Mu Ke was going to do because she had just felt the clear tension in his body, making Jiayu’s cheeks burn even hotter.
Mu Ke stayed in the bathroom for a while before coming out. When he ca out, his hair, which hadn’t been fully dry before, seed even wetter.
The two of them exchanged a glance, both feeling a little awkward. They were mature adults; such things held little mystery. But for Mu Ke, facing the woman he had loved for so many years, there was still a slight bashfulness.
Mu Ke sat down beside Jiayu, and they both fell silent.
