Once, when Sheng Jiayu and Xin Ke were together, Xu Qingru opposed it. However, at that ti, she was blinded by love and rely thought her mother looked down on Xin Ke’s average family background.
But Xu Qingru, although she opposed it, her always high upbringing kept her from crying, making a scene, or threatening to hang herself to oppose her daughter’s marriage, and so it was.

None of this was about who was right or wrong; it was just the environnt.
Now that Xu Qingru brought up the issue again, Sheng Jiayu felt she completely understood her mother’s aning.
Seeing her silent, Xu Qingru didn’t say much more either, and the mother and daughter chatted about other things for a while before returning to the house to rest.
At noon, when having lunch, Sheng Jiayu received a call from Mu Ke.
Seeing the flashing phone number on the screen, Sheng Jiayu’s heart suddenly leaped with excitent. She walked into the small courtyard outside before answering, "Hello?"
There was so noise on the other end of the line, seemingly still at the airport.

"Not yet, soon. And you? Have you arrived?"
"Just got off the plane."
"Is the weather over there good? Is it cold?"
Mu Ke glanced at the bright sunshine outside, with blue skies and white clouds. The temperature wasn’t high but much warr than in B City. This year’s S City was the warst winter in sixty years.
Mu Ke curled his lips, "Not too good, I want to co back."
Being here without you, not too good, I want to co back, and hold you.
On the phone, Sheng Jiayu clearly didn’t pick up on the hidden aning in the man’s words. She simply assud it wasn’t really good and earnestly reminded him, "Then dress warmly, it’s the New Year, don’t get sick."
Mu Ke suddenly laughed, lightly said, "Hmm," and continued, "You too, don’t just eat spicy food, drink more soup."
The two of them lingered affectionately for a while until Mu Ke walked out of the airport and saw the person who ca to pick him up.
Su Chen was beside Mu Ke, and as soon as he hung up the phone, Su Chen looked at Mu Ke with a toothache expression, "Tsk tsk, so sweet it’s giving a toothache."
Mu Ke calmly put away his phone, glanced at his friend, and said even more indifferently, "The dental departnt at City First Hospital is quite good. Do you need to pull so strings for you?"
Su Chen imdiately returned to normal, smiled, "No need, thanks."
The two of them continued walking out. Su Chen’s eyes were filled with laughter. As brothers who grew up together, he knew Mu Ke all too well. This man, sparing with words, seed unromantic, yet his cold humor could chill you when he was in an especially good mood, like... now!
