From a distance, they saw a young and beautiful girl standing at the door of a black sedan, waving at them, "Brother, Brother Su Chen, over here."
The girl was wearing a bright red knee-length coat, her hair tied up in a sock bun, her skin very fair, tall and slender, looking both adorable and elegant, yet her actions were quite unladylike.
Before Mu Ke even got close, the girl had already bounced over, giving Mu Ke a big smile, "Hey hey, brother, long ti no see."
Mu Ke gently tapped the girl on her head, his eyes filled with a trace of affection, "Aren’t you a bit too old to be so reckless?"
The girl’s smile grew even brighter, "I’m still very young, you know."
Mu Ke’s eyes showed even more affection, and Su Chen spoke up discontentedly, "Xinxin, can you only see Mu Ke in your eyes? What about ?"
Mu Xin imdiately saluted Su Chen in a standard military gesture, "Brother Su Chen."
Both n were amused by her, chatting and laughing as they walked towards the car.
After putting the luggage in the trunk and getting into the car, Mu Ke realized that besides Ms. Wang driving, there was also a woman sitting in the back seat.
Mu Xin had already cheerfully taken the front passenger seat.
Only the two back seats were left for the two n to squeeze in. Su Chen entered first, spotted the woman, froze for two seconds, and then swore, "Holy shit, Sister Yang? When did you co back?"
The woman gave him a slight smile, "Su Chen, long ti no see, Ah Nan too."
Mu Ke hesitated for a second before nodding. Ah Nan was his nickna, called Nan Nan by elders when he was little. As he grew up, he disliked being called that, and gradually, no one called him that anymore, so hearing it now suddenly felt a bit unfamiliar.
"Shanshan just ca back a few days ago. Heard you guys were coming back today, so I ca along to pick you up. It’s been a while since you two t, so you can catch up."
Ms. Wang in the front row started speaking, and Mu Xin chid in, "Sister Yang is really popular now, with more than three million followers on Weibo. If she hadn’t co back, I wouldn’t even know that the genius artist I’ve been following is actually her, ah, ah, so exciting."
Su Chen also joined in, "Artist? Did Sister Yang give up dancing for drawing?"
Yang Yushan smiled and replied, "I had no choice."
Apart from Mu Ke, who didn’t talk much, the atmosphere in the car was great, so even being caught in a traffic jam at the toll station didn’t dampen anyone’s mood.
The Yang Family and the Mu Family have been close for generations. Yang Yushan’s father and Mu Ke’s mother were classmates in middle and high school, and also college classmates with Mu Ke’s father. In a way, the union of Mu Ke’s parents has a lot to do with Yang Yushan’s father.
The mothers of both families are still best friends, which made the relationship even better.
Yang Yushan is a bit older than Mu Ke and Su Chen, but only by a month or so.
The three have known each other since childhood. Since Yang Yushan wasn’t in great health and rarely made public appearances, she beca the most mysterious among their group. Add to that her fragility due to her health, but good looks and academic performance, soone first called her "Sister Yang," and the na stuck.
Later, Yang Yushan went abroad for dical treatnt and stayed outside the country for a long ti, so contact beca sparse. But considering how easily Su Chen connects with strangers, let alone those he already knows, they kept in touch.
Mu Ke wasn’t interested in their conversation, only curled his lips into a smile when he received a photo from Sheng Jiayu.
