Appearance-wise, among the won he knew, she definitely couldn’t be ranked at the top, but it was precisely this ordinary-looking face that stirred ripples in his heart.
Even he couldn’t unravel the reason behind this feeling, so eventually, he simply gave up trying.
The person beside him was still asleep, but Jesse suddenly wasn’t sure where to go. Initially, he intended to stop the car and ask her where she wanted to go. Then, an idea popped into his mind.
An Nan awoke when the car halted once more, gazing blankly at the unfamiliar surroundings outside the window with a look of confusion: "Where is this?"
"This is my villa. You fell asleep earlier, and I didn’t know where you wanted to go, so I brought you here. Rest assured, I have plenty of rooms at ho. If you’re still uncertain, I can take you to a hotel right now."
Uncertain?
These three words flashed through her mind, and An Nan suddenly found it amusing. What was there to worry about? Clearly, Jesse seed more dangerous, being handso, talented, and having such a background.
An Nan imdiately felt at ease, and she added with a smile to the person beside her: "Then I’ll be intruding on you for a few days."
"You’re being too polite. Let’s get out of the car first."
The villa wasn’t as large as expected; it was rather exquisite. From the interior decor, An Nan gained her first insight into the genius of designers.
While An Nan couldn’t help but be amazed, a proud voice reached her ears: "I designed and hired people to construct this place myself, not bad, right?"
"Yes, yes, yes, it’s great, really great."
It’s more than just great—those exquisite and diverse pieces of furniture weren’t worth ntioning. The subtle arrangents alone gave An Nan a warm feeling, like the lazy sofa by the French window. You could imagine how pleasant it would be to read a book, enjoy a cup of tea, and soak in the sunshine here during the bright winter days.
There was also a relaxing tea bar, a dazzling bookshelf, and uniquely shaped chandeliers. With just one glance, An Nan fell in love with the place.
Seemingly noticing the interest in An Nan’s eyes, Jesse did not disturb her. Instead, he quietly went to the kitchen to prepare so dinner for the two of them.
Although he wasn’t short on money, he preferred to cook at ho himself, honing skills that weren’t bad at all.
When An Nan finished exploring the house, she saw the man erge from the kitchen with two plates.
As their eyes t, he greeted her with a smile: "Co over and eat. You must be hungry."
Jesse had prepared two plates of pasta, and after taking a bite, An Nan gave him a thumbs up: "It’s amazing, you’re incredible."
Upon saying this, An Nan felt sowhat ashad. At this point, what’s happening? These handso, wealthy young n not only possess looks but also culinary skills, while she, on the other hand, had very little money and couldn’t cook. It was quite a blow.
An Nan had already lost the ability to think. She felt she had failed as a woman.
An Nan didn’t want to say anything more, and the rest of the ti, Jesse did the talking: "I’m good at Western cuisine, especially French dishes. I’ll definitely let you try them if the chance arises."
"Sure."
After finishing a large serving of pasta, An Nan went back to her room to rest. Though after showering and leaning against the bed, she couldn’t fall asleep, and at that mont, her phone started ringing.
The screen flashed with the familiar na ’Little White’.
