The quilt got wet; a bit of sunshine will fix that. The real headache was, what to do tonight? There were no spare quilts at ho, and they certainly couldn’t sleep with a wet quilt.
Just when An Nan was in turmoil, Jesse continued to kindly remind her, "Nannan, why don’t you and Jiayou make do for the night, and if Mr. Lin doesn’t mind, he can stay with ."
This indeed was the best solution for now, but Lin Mubai just didn’t want to agree. It was his wedding night after all; he had been planning a lovely al, and now, he couldn’t even hold his wife. This couldn’t go on.
But the current situation seed to leave him with no choice. He couldn’t let An Nan sleep with the already wet quilt. He couldn’t bear it; actually, he could take An Nan to a hotel to stay outside, but he couldn’t stand the hassle, and likely, An Nan wouldn’t agree either.
If looks could kill, Jesse would’ve died a thousand deaths in Lin Mubai’s gaze. Yet, he was indifferent, even more so as the gaze grew sharper, his mood got better.
He’d been provoked for so long, it was ti for the tables to turn.
He provocatively stared back at Lin Mubai with his blue eyes, the implication clear: "What can you do about it?"
Indeed, Lin Mubai couldn’t do much. He couldn’t bear to let his little woman stay up late, so he had no choice but to reluctantly compromise. But before compromising, he had to get a hug back.
He extended his arm and pulled her into his embrace, switching from glaring at Jesse with gloom and anger to showing nothing but tender affection, "Wife, it’s quite late, why don’t you sleep with Jiayou first?"
An Nan was indeed very sleepy, and after thinking, had no better solution, so she nodded and agreed, "Okay, then you all should rest early too. Jesse, think well tonight where you’ll head to tomorrow."
"Sure, will do. Good night, Nannan, see you tomorrow morning." Jesse’s smile blood like a flower, provoking Young Master Lin beside him to want to punch him hard, though in the end, he didn’t do it.
"See you in the morning."
An Nan had just turned around when she found her way blocked. She raised her head in confusion, looking at him, "Little White, is sothing wrong?"
That one ’Little White’ made Lin Mubai’s lip twitch again. When on earth would his wife stop calling him Little White and call him husband instead? Sighing for his plight, he still wouldn’t forget to claim his due benefits. He pointed at his lips, speaking gently like water, "Wife, a goodnight kiss."
An Nan’s cheeks flushed instantly, her eyes not daring to wander. anwhile, she cursed the shaless man a thousand tis in her heart. Could he get any more shaless? Didn’t he see there were others around? And he wanted her to kiss him, and initiatively at that. Although An Nan had been abroad for quite so ti, she wasn’t accustod to such an open lifestyle. Perhaps in her subconscious, she was still a reserved person.
