I really don’t want to deal with this bastard. An Nan pushed him away with one arm and was about to leave. Lin Mubai, having finally caught a chance to show off, was not willing to let go so easily. So, he quickly grabbed An Nan, who was trying to leave, and firmly said, "Wife, I want a goodnight kiss."
The determination in his tone made Nannan clearly aware of the man’s relentless attitude. She rolled her eyes helplessly to the sky, but eventually gave in. She leaned in and quickly pecked his cheek, then warned with a bit of anger, "Lin Mubai, don’t push your luck."

But to put it simply, regarding that last kiss, she was willing in the end.
At that mont, her thought was, since they were already married, why feel embarrassed about such a simple kiss? It’s the most common thing abroad, and they weren’t doing anything more intimate. Another crucial reason was that she sensed Jesse’s unusual gaze on her. If it was truly as she imagined, she’d rather cut off all his fantasies right at the start, to avoid a ss later.
She’s not stupid; what he did tonight was so obvious, how could she not notice? She just didn’t want to make it a big deal and make things awkward for everyone.
While An Nan was extrely annoyed, she didn’t notice that, in the darkness, a pair of shiny black eyes had been staring in her direction for a long ti. Finally, after waiting for a response at the door for ages, An Jiayou couldn’t help but speak up, kindly reminding, "An Nan, why are you standing at my door so late, acting like a doorman? But I feel it’s quite quiet here, there’s no need for that." He paused before his complaint drifted through the night, "Seriously, you’re so grown-up, yet you don’t know scaring people can cause heart attacks. What if I got scared and fainted?"
If he really got scared, it would probably upset this woman again.
In the dark, An Jiayou shook his head silently once more.
An Nan’s attention was instantly diverted by his words, and she approached in the dark with a guilty expression: "Jiayou, I’m sorry. My blanket got wet, so can I squeeze in with you tonight?"
An Jiayou didn’t say yes, nor did he say no, but his silent retreat already provided the answer. An Nan quickly took off her coat and climbed into bed, mother and son snuggling together cheek to cheek, very affectionate.
