The grand gate they ca through and the archway were blocked by the rising white fog, turning into a white fog gate not seen for many years. Nostalgia welled up in Hevi's heart as he hadn't entered Sain Dungeon or seen a white fog gate in a long ti.
However, the next second, this nostalgic feeling was shattered by a huge club being swung at him.
"Boom!"
The club's impact with the ground made the entire courtyard tremble, but he managed to dodge just in ti before being hit. A supporting spell that could accelerate fell on him only after he evaded, and he was just about to see who among his subordinates was so slow, but unexpectedly, it was Todd.
"Thanks." He nodded in acknowledgnt towards him, then raised his iron-clad fist and slamd it into the belly of the Undead Demon.
"Duang~"
The mont his fist collided with the skin, it seed to produce a very peculiar sound.
A sudden burst of force catapulted Hevi, sending him crashing into the iron bars of a side gate.
He was dumbfounded.
"What's happening?"
The Undead Demons he had fought before didn't have such a resilient stomach; in fact, the belly was previously a weak point.
By this ti, Todd had already run far, while the Starfire Knights encircled the Undead Demon, ready to attack with an obviously well-trained formation.
The Undead Demon appeared to belong to the reckless brute strength type. Monsters like this often display a common trait of being wildly aggressive when faced with organized adventurers.
It barely leaped forward with its hefty legs, turning its weight into a weapon aid at the Starfire Knights.
This attack was slow and naturally couldn't hit them, but it caused a massive tremor upon landing, making it hard for those close by to stand steadily.
In that instant, the Undead Demon moved its huge club with a speed exceeding what its size should allow, seemingly about to pulverize the nearest person.
But that figure shattered into smoke and disappeared, only for a blink later, Hevi pulled the person aside.
He had just executed the combat skill, Hound's Prowess!
"Lucky I took the ti to learn Hound's Prowess; this combat skill is still this effective."
He turned to the Undead Demon, waved his hand, and shouted:
"Charge!"
With Hevi's command, the dispersed Starfire Knights systematically charged forward to battle, relying only on their bodies as weapons.
This was the first ti adventurers encountered the confiscation of weapons inside Sain Dungeon, and ordinary people would probably be at a loss.
However, having participated in wars, the Starfire Knights adapted to the situation and found items to use as weapons, such as bricks pried from the walls and pieces from slain Living Dead Soldiers.
Specifically, aiming to throw them into the mouth of the Undead Demon!
The Undead Demon was indeed enraged by this group of human "Peach-furred Beasts," sweeping its club broadly with such force that the entire courtyard shook violently, as Todd trembled uncontrollably from a distance, unable to stand steadily.
The Starfire Knights exhibited impressive combat skills at this ti.
Surprisingly, they were all agile warriors, and Hevi's Hound's Prowess was adeptly executed. Though the others weren't as skilled, they mastered the lower-level Shattering Step, and with Todd's pre-battle Acceleration Magic, most of the slow and clumsy moves from the Undead Demon were handled effortlessly.
Unfortunately, without weapons, they couldn't perform the Sun Warriors' standard Thunder Spear. If they could, the battle would have ended quickly.
One downside of relying on Sain Dungeon's weaponry to execute combat skills and magic was that without self-learning and mastering them, losing a weapon was akin to having your account wiped.
Even a mage like Todd could only occasionally cast reduced-power ergency spells without a Magic Wand.
As the battle dragged on, the dynamics on the battlefield shifted.
Humans tire, and after relying on high maneuverability to engage the Undead Demon for so ti, the Starfire Knights inevitably felt exhausted because...
"Have we actually caused any damage to it after all this ti?"
A Starfire Knight questioned, looking at the Undead Demon's still "smooth and intact" skin, disbelief creeping in.
This monster was uncannily aty!
Not tough, but fleshy! The fat layer acted as a perfect shield, severely reducing the impact of blunt attacks like punches!
"We need stronger weapons; even a broken sword would help take it down." Hevi gritted his teeth.
With every passing mont, the exhaustion of everyone intensified, yet the Undead Demon seed to have endless energy; previously easy-to-handle moves now appeared increasingly dangerous and eventually insurmountable.
"We're finished, dood again!"
Todd had been using so attack spells to assist, but without his Magic Wand, their power was just marginally better than punches but still limited, and his Mana was almost depleted!
At this incredibly perilous point, he suddenly heard unusual movents nearby and turned in curiosity.
"It's you!" he exclaid involuntarily.
He saw Astara, the Upper Knight who had tossed him the keys earlier in the cell.
