Hey hey hey, that sounds a bit different from before, doesn't it? Todd seed to notice so irrelevant blind spot.
The silent atmosphere persisted for a while, and suddenly, the mood turned somber.
"I'll go!" A Starfire Knight stepped forward and shouted spiritedly, "I'm almost forty this year, haven't married or had children, and I'm the weakest in the team. It's most suitable for to go!"
"Count in!" Another stepped forward, loudly broadcasting his conditions, arguing why he was the most suitable to go.
"Everyone..." Hevi and the others were moved to tears, so even cried hugging one another.
Hey hey hey, can't you revive at the bonfire after dying here? It's not like other dungeons where you get sentenced after dying without a Teleportation Crystal. What's the point of being so dramatic? Todd didn't understand the aning behind this group's antics at all.
Then he saw the pointy head of the Black Knight appear around the corner.
"You guys are too noisy! You brought the enemies over!"
As Todd finished speaking, the Black Knight charged forward, holding up the shield fiercely.
The Starfire Knights were caught off guard, fleeing chaotically towards the space where the bonfire was before.
"If you didn't fool around, I could respect you a bit more!"
Todd voiced out his inner discontent loudly.
Until the Black Knight was lured into the small room that was practically a plain compared to the narrow corridor, the Starfire Knights organized a decent resistance, reconfigured into the battle stance used against the Undead Demon.
"If it's useless against large monsters, we can understand, but against humanoid enemies like you, we absolutely can!"
The Starfire Knights exclaid confidently, and to Hevi, "Quick, Hevi, go find weapons, we're all waiting for you!"
"Alright." Without fuss or sentintality, Hevi briskly turned to run, leaving everyone here in a standoff with the Black Knight.
"Hey, then I'll..." Todd wanted to follow, but the next mont, the Black Knight's straight sword suddenly chopped from the side!
If it hadn't been for a Starfire Knight tugging at him from behind, he would have been split vertically in half.
"Mage, quietly go to the back, this isn't a place for you to ddle."
The Starfire Knight who saved him sidestepped the Black Knight's shield charge with a shattering step, darting behind and punching toward its neck.
"Thunk!"
A hit landed, causing the Black Knight's body to even tremble slightly!
However, the Starfire Knight's face turned grim; he said incredulously,
"Why does it feel harder than the ones we've encountered before?"
The next mont, the Black Knight turned, slamming its shield directly onto his chest, sending the Starfire Knight flying into the wall, vomiting a large amount of blood.
"What's going on?" Nearby teammates rushed to support him, faces shocked.
Just as he managed to splash Healing Potion on his companion, soone else was sent flying out.
Looking back again, the number surrounding the Black Knight dwindled sharply!
"What's happening?" The Starfire Knight fell into confusion, and only when facing the Black Knight himself did he finally realize.
"Why is its strength even greater than the previous Black Knights'!"
The Starfire Knight clutched his nearly shattered fist after clashing with it, his eyelids twitching madly.
I'm such a fool, really.
Should've known that the strength of Animated Corpses increased, so the Black Knight must have grown stronger.
But why, what's the reason? Why are these monsters stronger than the sa type in the old areas of the Sain Dungeon?

Facing a situation where they can't make effective strikes, the Starfire Knights were forced into fighting unhard because a solid hit would an losing combat power.
Todd nearby tried to help as much as he could, but his best magic was the Fireball Technique.
And the Black Knight happened to have the highest fire resistance.
His repeated fireball throwing finally enraged the enemy, who charged straight towards him, and even the Starfire Knights couldn't stop it.
"Help!"
Cornered against the wall, Todd shouted, completely unable to retreat.
The Black Knight's sword edge slashed down towards his head!
At this critical mont, he suddenly felt sothing slash his body, with scorching liquid flowing into him.
In an instant, the Black Knight's sword strike was diverted by an external force, and what was ant to be a slashing attack turned into a strike when it hit Todd, sending him flying back until he crashed into the wall.
"Ah, that really hurts..." Stuck in the wall, he couldn't move, unsure how many of his bones were shattered.
"Huh?" The Starfire Knight next to him exclaid in surprise, "How are you still alive after taking a hit like that head-on?"
"...Yeah, how am I still alive?"
Todd, slow to realize, glanced dumbfoundedly down at his body, suddenly bursting out with a surprised expletive.
"Why have I gotten so buff?!"
His magician's typically slender build had swelled to the proportions of a muscleman, his muscles grotesquely bulky!
What's going on here? How did he suddenly beco so muscular?!
But it was these muscles that helped him withstand the Black Knight's attack; though so bones were still broken, at least he wasn't dead!
"This ability... Hevi has returned!"
The Starfire Knights recognized the changes in Todd's body, and as they joyfully exclaid, several burning red lights suddenly arced through the air, precisely landing on each of them.
Drew finally saw it; those red lights were scales from so creature.
As the scales sliced into their bodies, their muscles swelled like Todd's!
Wounds stopped bleeding, broken bones forcibly reford, and their fainted consciousness were stimulated into awakening, making them look like they'd undergone so mad scientist's transformation, all regaining their ability to act.
Just the change in style... made them feel like they'd gone from mbers of a mysterious elite organization to cannon fodder super soldiers.
A large number of scales burst from the tunnel, wrapping around the Black Knight, who swung his blade within, creating fierce sparks as the sword clashed against the scales.
The hardness of these scales was unimaginably high, and their quantity seed endless.
Though they didn't seem to be causing any visible harm to the Black Knight, their sheer numbers and toughness temporarily trapped him within.
"Hey everyone, I'm back!"
Todd swore it was the first ti he'd felt so moved by Hevi's frivolous tone.
Blazing flas illuminated the passageway, and clad in his now fiery cloak, Hevi finally appeared, looking sowhat different from before.
His previously black armor was now lined with red patterns, sharp as if franged with fangs, and from beneath his cape extended eight threads like the tail feathers of a phoenix, swaying in the air. On closer inspection, they were made of the very scales from before.
More scales flew from behind him, carrying everyone's weapons to them. With weapons in hand, everyone's spirit and energy visibly changed.
Todd carefully took his magic wand from the scales and couldn't help but ask, "What is this?"
Hevi habitually flicked his cloak, saying:
"A weapon, [Suffocating Dragon Tooth]."
"Weapon?!"
Todd hadn't expected to see such a rare weapon in Scaroon; in fact, it was his first ti seeing sothing like this.
No wonder Hevi once said he relied on his weapon in battles—it greatly enhanced his own abilities!
"The [Suffocating Dragon Tooth] is a weapon left behind by a hero who was once a Dragon Blood Warrior. His divine artifact fused with him, and after his death, his scales shed to form this weapon."
Under Hevi's control, the scales could be summoned and manipulated at will, perfectly fitting his aura.
"The scales carry all the skills that hero learned. Sotis I can't even use them all, but it's thanks to these abilities that I always escape dire situations."
"Is my new muscle build one of the abilities?" Todd asked.
"Exactly."
Hevi gave a thumbs-up to himself.
"Believe in ; as long as we have our weapons, and you trust my abilities, we will remain undefeated!"
Sohow, Todd felt an inexplicable trust in the man standing before him.
"Eh?"
He suddenly looked down at his body, his brow furrowed in confusion.
For a mont, he felt like his muscles surged, becoming even stronger?
But the sensation was fleeting. Perhaps it was just his imagination.
He saw the Starfire Knights, now reard, regain their vigor and charge ahead—surely going to defeat the Black Knight to redeem themselves?
Surely, right?
"Where are you going?!" Todd couldn't help but shout as he saw everyone running down the passage and leaving the Black Knight behind.
"We're running away!"
Hevi called back, "Why would you bother fighting him?"
"..."
On second thought, that indeed made sense.
So Todd pulled himself out of the wall and hurriedly fled with the others.
