"Justice from above!"

Amidst the Bone Stick Team’s struggle in the midst of the monsters, a cheerful voice accompanied by two swords descended from the sky, bursting through the head of a monster. Tusi imdiately looked up with delight.

"Mr. Fingerley!"

People suddenly saw hope for survival. The magician previously entrusted with the Image Stone by Fingerley quickly raised it, capturing the dashing figures of the Hasavi Team as they descended from the sky.

Whether it was Fingerley or Matilda, Aleya, they all had a pair of translucent wings on their backs, resembling angels, darting straight toward the people with each beat of their wings.

"Flash Technique!"

An invisible flash from the Flash Technique caused the monsters to recoil, instinctively covering their eyes. Matilda crashed to the ground like heavy artillery, imdiately beginning to clear the monsters, while the other two grabbed the adventurers from the Bone Stick Team and flew to the second floor.

Upon seeing this, the giant, who had earlier intended to make a move, stopped abruptly as if waiting for the right mont.

"Mr. Fingerley, it’s so great to see you all safe!" Back on the safe second floor, everyone was elated, the emotional roller-coaster providing considerable spiritual power.

Tusi, however, was the first to turn to look for Patch, but unfortunately, that guy had already made a run for it. Who knows how he could run so fast wearing the Onion Knight’s armor.

Yet, given Patch’s earlier skill in dealing with the Church Knight, if they really got into a fight, it might be Tusi who ends up kneeling and singing for submission.

While responding to the people, Fingerley explained the reason for his and his companions’ brief disappearance: they had gotten lost within the complex structure of the Deep Church.

Then he shared his flying plan, which was simple: after casting the Flying Skill on everyone, they would fly over the second gate, a very straightforward approach.

Although the first gate was opened thanks to Patch, finding the chanism to unlock the second gate might require significant effort and ti.

With the day nearly over and darkness having long fallen outside, if they couldn’t see what lay across the high platform of the Sain Dungeon before being forced out, Fingerley might toss and turn all night, unable to sleep.

"But... what about the anti-air asures?" Tusi asked, as it was well-known that the Sain Dungeon had a vendetta against flying.

Who knows what bizarre things might happen to adventurers once they take to the sky. What if a hundred Gatlings fired in unison?

Just imagining that scene was enough to make one’s scalp tingle.

Speaking of which, here’s how the Yarn Hunter, known for showing adventurers Gatlings, is described in the Hunting Manual:

[People are drawn to the land of the gods, Lordran, for various reasons, but the chaotic spaceti of Lordran often leads them to encounter paradoxical events; soone you killed yesterday might fight alongside you today, and those with differing stances could end up aiding each other. Hunters might be one such anomaly.]

In a way, people didn’t quite understand it, but since there was an explanation, they considered it reasonable, dispelling any doubts they might have had.

In fact, for the majority of adventurers represented by Tusi, they only grasped straightforward stories like the Fran Undead Team, Overlord Vonier. As for the rest, they treated it like entertainnt, not because they weren’t interested in fragnted stories, but because their ntal energy was focused on making money. Piecing together fragnted stories was a task for scholars.

"No problem, I just need to fly over the gate."

While in the sky, Fingerley had taken a full view of the hall’s structure. Beside the high platform he was so concerned with stood a giant slave, and at the giant slave’s feet was a staircase leading to the platform. As long as they crossed the second gate, they could dash directly from the first floor to the staircase, carefully avoiding the giant slave and the burdenso swamp.

"I’ll go test the waters first, you wait here."

Guided by the notion that greater ability leads to greater risks, Fingerley took the lead, flapping his wings as he flew toward the second gate.

Though appearing leisurely and carefree on the surface, in reality, he was already nervously vigilant, ready to dodge at the slightest movent around him.

Yet everything seed so calm so far?

As he approached the second gate, Fingerley’s tense nerves began to relax, wondering if flying over the gate might be a way tacitly approved by Sain? Just like how gravestones could be used to block attacks during a confrontation with Father Gascoin in the Great Tomb Domain.

"Could it be that I’ve really discovered a shortcut?"

In a single mont of distraction, a loud roar suddenly erupted ahead, accompanied by an imposing wave of air!

Startled, Fingerley quickly flapped his wings to evade, but was still spun around twice in mid-air by the wave, forcing him to retreat.

Looking up, he saw the giant slave by the platform had suddenly stood up soti, the tal mask covering its face torn halfway off, revealing a dry, gaping mouth from which the previous roar had erupted!

If this were a ga, there might be a prompt like: [Anti-air mode, activate!]

To target adventurers capable of using the Flying Skill, Gong Qiying had equipped the giant slave with the [Mountain Monster Roar] from Elden Ring. The operational thod involved hanging weapons with the related War Ash on their hands.
