Chapter 180: I Will Remain Positive Forever

The colossal black dragon that crawled across the sky passed through the heavy cloud layer and let out a deep, rumbling breath—as though it had sensed sothing.

It snapped its head upward and unleashed a terrifying roar toward the sky.

The storms around it began to gather ceaselessly, transforming into a pair of invisible great hands that wrenched the constantly flickering purple fissure open to an imnse width.

As if intending to pour everything in the surroundings inside.

The group of Adventurers outside, who had been scared stiff and unable to move, watched as the rift was torn wide open at the monster's will, and froze completely.

What terrifying, inhuman power…

To have actually wrenched the Magical Creature Rift open by brute force.

Yet before they could fully calm themselves, the black dragon passed through the heavy cloud layer—seemingly carried on the wind—and began diving down toward the earth.

Boom! Crash!

The surrounding air began to crack and rupture continuously. Accompanied by white mist and scattered sparks of fla, the dragon drove straight into the Void rift.

The overwhelming pressure even swept them up with it, sending them tumbling and drifting through the air.

Had they not grabbed onto the nearby structures, they would likely have been sucked between those black scales and ground to powder.

Only after the rift had completely swallowed the enormous body of the great black dragon did the surrounding air gradually return to calm.

The unbearably terrifying pressure vanished without a trace.

The Adventurers steadied themselves.

One by one, they could only feel it—

Cold sweat soaking through their backs.

Hera followed Viktor's gaze and slowly looked up toward the violet sky.

Very soon, she sensed it.

An even more terrifying oppressive force descended from above the heads of all the Adventurers.

The overwhelming power carried in that oncoming presence—capable of tearing apart everything it touched—completely froze them all in place.

A chill began surging from each person's spine toward their heart.

A beast?

No. That was an existence far more powerful than any beast.

No living creature she had ever encountered could be compared to that divine creation in the sky.

In the final mont, even Hera could not steady her mind beneath that crushing pressure—her body began to tremble.

Could it be… that this was what the First Prince had spoken of.

The terrifying monster that had appeared within the Rift?

Truly terrifying indeed.

At so point, a massive, heavy black shadow burst into the sky above the surging violet expanse.

It coiled across the entire void, its body swirling with rapidly churning air currents.

Its eyes radiated authority, and a violent storm erupted from its nostrils.

That gaze, full of majesty, was fixed unwaveringly on Viktor.

Or rather—on the 2 spectral beast-forms behind Viktor.

And Viktor returned its stare in kind.

As though the 2 calamitous forces within him had taken shape, standing at his back, equally majestic, unflinchingly staring down that enormous black form.

2 surging, mighty presences collided with each other. Dense Magic Power and overwhelming force exploded outward in all directions.

Storms gathered ceaselessly around Viktor. His Coat whipped and billowed wildly. The red-green alternating light flashed across the Coat and the markings began flowing up onto Viktor's skin.

Creeping along his neck, climbing to just beneath his eyes.

Those strange patterns radiated trendous Magic Power, carrying with them a savage, furious energy.

The hurricane swept up the dust, stirring the violet void and the spreading storm clouds that churned ceaselessly.

Then, without warning, Dorakon moved first.

As if showing off its own might, its body twisted sharply in the space above the void.

The razor-sharp wind shook the air—like a blade that sliced across Viktor's cheek in an instant.

【Air Blade】

All of this happened in a single instant. By the ti everyone snapped back to their senses, a gash of blood had already split open across Viktor's face.

The Adventurers had barely even seen the dragon swing its body before a few drops of blood had already burst through the air.

"That's… Viktor's blood?"

The Adventurers stood dumbfounded on the spot, eyes wide.

That powerful man—the formidable Mage who, even in the close-quarters combat he was least suited for, had fought Hera to a standstill.

Had actually… been wounded.

And he was also 4th-Tier.

They hadn't even seen the mont Viktor took that hit.

Viktor's gaze flicked briefly toward his cheek, registering the faint warmth spreading across his face.

Wounded.

That attack had co at a speed no human body could ever react to.

He raised his head again, his eyes settling on the great beast hovering in the sky.

An endlessly long HP bar now appeared in Viktor's vision as well.

Along with it, the level surfaced slowly.

Calamity of Wind—Dorakon.

Lv60.

6th-Tier.

In the early stages of the ga, a Boss that no player could defeat.

The Calamity of Wind was the most free-roaming of all Calamities—unlike the Calamity of Fire, which had been sealed beneath a volcano and left to sleep, and unlike the Calamity of Wood, which had been used by the City of Mages as a power bank.

Even though this was no longer the peak of its power, its ordinary state alone was already enough to leave people awestruck.

But it was also a 6th-Tier Boss that Viktor, even at 4th-Tier, would definitely be able to defeat.

Because of the Calamity of Wind's particular nature.

It was unlike the Calamity of Fire, which could deal extraordinarily powerful area-of-effect destruction. It also lacked the Calamity of Wood's exceptional vitality and regenerative power.

Dorakon's advantage lay in its unparalleled mobility.

Dragging its serpentine body, it could even move swiftly through space itself.

Every growth and adaptation on its body existed for the sake of ultimate speed.

But as the Calamity whose speed was matchless among all—

If one could restrict the very mobility it prided itself on—

Then…

It would beco nothing more than a long worm, there for the slaughtering.

In an instant, a powerful light surged in Viktor's eyes.

Weija had already understood without needing to be told. Her eyes flickered with the sa luminescence.

A faint, near-invisible thread extended from the Crow's body and slowly connected itself to Viktor.

【Link successful—】

Feeling the boundless Magic Power surging into him—like a towering sea—completely at his command.

Brimming Magic Power began to overflow from his body, spreading even across the entire ground.

The surrounding Adventurers seed to sense an unusually dense concentration of Magic Power as well.

They couldn't help but press a hand to their chests, as though a current of water had blocked their throats.

They lowered their heads, struggling to observe those around them.

In their eyes, a light of absolute shock and awe flickered wildly.

【The Arbiter Who Strips Away All Phenona】

A 4th-Tier Mage similarly widened his eyes.

He had lived for over a hundred years.

Though he had only stepped into the 4th-Tier domain a few years ago, after long years of tempering and absorbing boundless knowledge, he felt himself to be a true 4th-Tier Mage in every sense of the word.

He had also received an unsolicited invitation from the City of Mages and had beco a mber of Endymion.

Yet now, if he were to compare his own Magic Power to Viktor's…

It was like a single drop of clear water falling into a boundless, infinite ocean of Magic Power.

He slowly raised his head, the wrinkles on his face deepening considerably as he stared blankly at Viktor.

"So this is… the peak power of the Mage Council."

"The Council of Twelve."

Then, all at once, under the influence of the vast Magic Power, the violet flesh walls sensed discomfort and began to writhe and shift.

Viktor's expression remained unchanged as he hovered in the air.

The earth's writhing was Viktor's deliberate use of Magic Power to stimulate this land into beginning its restructuring.

In this Abyss, any damaged terrain would naturally repair itself.

Magic could precisely accelerate this repair process.

And further reshape it accordingly.

The Adventurers watched Viktor's work with blank stares.

Hera among them.

"What exactly is he trying to do?"

The spinning patterns in her eyes contracted sharply, reverting back into an unopened bud—freezing slightly in place.

"Could it be…"

Under the stunned and bewildered gazes of the crowd, the walls began to rise continuously, enclosing an imnsely vast open space, cutting off everything from the outside.

The Adventurers felt the ground trembling beneath them, yet could do nothing.

The flesh-covered earth beneath them seed to have restructured itself into an arena. Even tiered spectator steps had begun to slowly take shape.

The magic settled the group of Adventurers firmly onto the flesh-built steps and eased the stiffness from their bodies.

They and Viktor…

Were simply not existences of the sa level.

In that mont… Hera recalled the words Viktor had spoken.

"He put all of us… in the position of the audience?"

She snapped her head up and fixed her gaze on Viktor.

Hera finally understood.

That proud Mage.

Had actually dared to dream of fighting that terrifying monster in a 1-on-1 battle!

At this mont, Viktor stood hovering in midair at the center of the entire arena, and slowly extended one hand—touching it lightly to the collar of his Coat.

White Runes began to scatter from the Coat. A soft light kindled, and a wisp of white mist began to drift through the air.

The next instant, a giant white bird materialized out of thin air.

Viktor stepped lightly onto the bird's body, a streak of white rising and falling through the sky.

His eyes carried not a trace of emotion, quietly watching the serpentine dragon as it rolled and coiled.

The mont it saw the giant white bird, the dragon's previously majestic and composed eyes turned a deep, blood-soaked crimson.

The air currents around it began to spin at high speed, as though to cut through all things, spiraling upward toward the violet void sky.

Whoooosh—!

Swept up in a violent storm, a grey haze of gloom rose around the dragon.

Yet as fast as it flew, it had barely covered a hundred li before a violet mbrane appeared above the arena—like so mysterious construct.

Dorakon crashed hard into the barrier.

The violet mbrane bent slightly, absorbing the enormous force and even deflecting it back toward the dragon's body.

Thud!

A burst of explosive wind instantly tore through the dragon's body.

Dorakon shook its sowhat dazed head, and the next instant, dragged its colossal body into a turn.

Its sky-scraping tail cleaved the air, sending a powerful surge of blades slicing toward the violet barrier once more.

Yet no matter how fierce the assault, it could not break through that strange wall.

It began to grow bewildered.

As a Calamity, it possessed no great capacity for thought—only instinct to guide its actions.

What lay before it had exceeded the bounds of its understanding.

But equally bewildered were the Adventurers who had beco the audience.

Viktor, with a single spell, had been capable of blasting a hole through a wall.

Yet the monster before them could not break through?

But no answer would co to them.

Because Viktor's confident voice rang out, calm and unhurried:

"You should never—not in a thousand chances—have let your anger blind your eyes."

"You abandoned every advantage you had, and ca here of your own accord to seek out."

At his side, Weija laughed with playful mockery, a sharp gleam of calculated satisfaction entering her eyes.

And Viktor extended his hand—Staff: Ulruste materialized in his palm out of thin air.

The instant Viktor gripped the staff, seven-colored Magic Power took root and blossod as if from a seed, slowly climbing up the length of the staff.

Countless Formation arrays took shape out of nothing. Complex and intricate patterns began connecting with one another.

Several Formation arrays seed to rge into a single entity, and a vast, surging Magic Power continuously erupted from within with trendous force.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Magic Power grew denser and denser, and the Formation arrays grew wider and wider.

Radiance of alternating colors began to spread outward, and finally transford into a divine tree.

Above its canopy, a teal-hued moon drifted slowly, casting soft light in all directions.

Hummm—

Ring after ring began spiraling and wrapping around Viktor, and the complex Formation arrays no longer appeared only on the staff.

They manifested across Viktor's entire body, and the intense blazing light beca impossibly dazzling.

Nurous Magic Formations began rotating in the sa mont. The vast Magic Power roared like a great ocean, pouring entirely down into the earth.

The Adventurers felt the absolutely staggering radiance of alternating colors—and in an instant, even their shock and their thoughts were completely forgotten.

At that mont, Viktor's voice seed to co from ten thousand li away—ethereal words drifting out with unhurried calm:

"Now…"

"Prepare to kneel."
