Familiar sll?

Chen Wen looked at the lynx with curiosity.

He asked, "What is it? A person? Or Hua Yun? Could they have kidnapped the crew mbers too?"

Chen Wen was a bit nervous.

Although the gold was important, if Hua Yun, or even Yang Feng and the crew were kidnapped.

He felt he needed to change his plan.

But the lynx shook his head: "No, it's not the sll of other humans, it's the wolf pack, the one you summoned back then."

Chen Wen was startled.

Black Wolf King?

How did they follow us?

Just as Chen Wen was feeling annoyed, suddenly, a familiar wolf howl echoed from the distant forest.

"Damn! It's really them!"

Chen Wen jumped to his feet.

But then he suddenly rembered, this was the rcenaries' camp!

This wolf pack is going to cause trouble!

Chen Wen just wanted to stop the wolves from howling, but the camp had already been alard by the howling.

So rcenaries had already walked out of their tents in panic, weapons in hand.

They looked around bewildered, as if so dangerous creature was approaching in the darkness.

"Wolf pack! Everyone be careful!"

A sowhat experienced rcenary loudly warned his companions.

But this warning turned out to be a big mistake.

The alerted rcenary grabbed his gun, intending to find the wolves.

But opposite him, a rcenary, hearing the commotion, rushed out of the tent.

The gun-holding rcenary instinctively pointed his weapon in that direction.

"It's one of us!"

The nearby rcenary barely finished speaking when the rcenary being aid at suddenly roared in anger.

"Damn it! Do you want to kill us and steal the treasure?"

With his roar, the rcenary's pistol was already aid.

The gun-holding rcenary didn't have ti to think and pulled the trigger abruptly.

Boom!

The shotgun's sound ignited the emotions of all the rcenaries.

After a day of running around and a night full of their leader's shouting, all the rcenaries were on edge, in a state of utter hopelessness.

On the verge of breakdown.

That shot pushed them completely into collapse.

So rcenaries opened fire defiantly, loudly shouting for revenge for their captain.

So rcenaries, with sharp eyes, silently aid their guns at rcenaries they had grievances with.

Others, showing greed, looked at the gold in the camp with killing intent arising.

Regardless of their motives, everyone was shooting.

Bang bang bang!

The gunfire scared the wolves away and terrified the lynx, even Chen Wen lay on the ground, not daring to move.

"Damn it, what's happening? Why are they fighting among themselves?"

Chen Wen was a bit scared, but mostly puzzled and confused.

What he didn't know was, in military terms, there's a very fitting description for this situation.

"Camp explosion", also known as camp panic or camp chaos.

When the army's morale is low, uncertain about the future, and unaware of their life and death.

If there's even the slightest disturbance at night, possibly just a soldier screaming from a nightmare, it can ignite a hysterical crazy atmosphere in the camp.

Soldiers completely freeing themselves from military discipline, so picking up weapons to settle scores, chasing officers, enemies, unknown comrades, leaving nothing but corpses the next day.

This was a very typical "camp explosion."

This group of rcenaries had gone through internal strife, continuous traveling, and the effects of the extre cold, with their morale reaching rock bottom.

The wolves' howling pushed their already tense nerves to the limit.

And then soone fired a shot.

"Camp explosion" happened naturally.

The duration of the chaos was short, after all, there were only fifteen people at most.

In less than thirty seconds, the gunfire gradually subsided.

So familiar rcenaries cautiously poked their heads out from cover.

In the not-so-big camp, bodies lay everywhere, so even fell onto the bonfire, already starting to catch fire.

"Are there any survivors?"

Soone asked.

Amidst sporadic answers, about five rcenaries carefully crawled out of cover.

They looked around blankly, finding it hard to believe they were the ones who did this.

Just then, from the largest tent, the white captain ca out holding his shoulder.

He glanced at the remaining soldiers, his eyes full of despair.

"Captain, what exactly is..."

Soone asked.

The white captain shook his head, not wanting to say more.

He never expected that his group would encounter the legendary "camp explosion."

"Those wolves should have been scared off by the gunfire."

The experienced rcenary was still alive.

He glanced at his friend who started it all, who was already dead.

"We... boo hoo..."

Soone tried to say sothing, but soon was choked with sobs.

Others looked at the boxes filled with gold, eyes full of greed.

"The gold, you can take it if you want."

The white captain saw the two rcenaries eager to act, he saw clearly from the tent after taking down the deputy.

Their purpose was clear, to kill!

Many were killed by them.

But at this point, he really didn't have the courage to settle the score with them, nor was there any need.

Upon hearing this, the two rcenaries were first excited.

But they quickly said, "No, captain, we'll follow your orders."

The others echoed.

Looking at the remaining five rcenaries, the white captain let out a long sigh.

"Then let's move these… brothers to the outskirts of the camp, we'll leave overnight, I'm afraid the wolves might return, the sll of blood here is too strong."

Upon hearing this, the others looked at the wilderness as if it were a ferocious beast, a bit terrified.

But staying here, apart from the discomfort in their minds.

They were also afraid of the wolves.

The last wolf howl, just when the treasure was nearly theirs, cost them half their people.

This wolf howl reduced them to just six.

When it cos to the wolves, these rcenaries were scared to their core.

They agreed to the white captain's decision, not knowing this very decision led them into a deadly crisis.

As the rcenaries began packing.

The white captain shouted for them to take more food and heating equipnt.

The others complied.

But the two rcenaries tempted by the treasure took so firewood off the sled, reducing the load.

...

Chen Wen quietly got up.

Only five left, most of them wounded.

Chen Wen shivered.

Watching lives fade away before his eyes, he was genuinely scared.

However, he still couldn't understand why the rcenaries suddenly started fighting.

After hesitating a while, Chen Wen quietly left.

He saw that the remaining rcenaries wanted to leave.

But he wasn't worried because the lynx was still around.

It could track the rcenaries' position.

...

Chen Wen found the wolf pack.

As the lynx had slled, these wolves were indeed led by the Black Wolf King.

At this mont, the wolf pack was also very scared.

They just howled twice, never imagining sothing so terrifying would happen.

The strong scent of blood usually tempted them closer, but now that area beca the most feared place for the wolf king.

"Why do I feel you're sohow involved?"

Chen Wen approached the Black Wolf King, looking at its obedient appearance, feeling strange.

It seed that only after the wolves' howling did the rcenaries' chaos occur.

"Forget it, you're not allowed to go over there, you hear !"

Chen Wen spoke sternly to the Black Wolf King, emphasizing with gestures.

The Black Wolf King understood Chen Wen's intention, promptly rubbed against Chen Wen's body obediently.

"Did you co looking for ?"

Looking at the vast wolf pack, Chen Wen sighed.

The wolf pack was loyal, but he really couldn't shelter them.

Not even if he had money.

"Alright, our fate together has co to an end, I'm no longer your leader."

Chen Wen waved his hand, bidding farewell to the wolf pack.

But knowing the wolves wouldn't understand such gestures, Chen Wen could only approach the Black Wolf King.

This wolf king was a bit more intelligent.

Slowly, it understood Chen Wen's aning.

Finally, it looked at Chen Wen reluctantly, let out a low growl, and led the pack to slowly disappear into the forest.
