The air conditioning in the mall was on, and having just stood in a crowded place for so long, fine beads of sweat erged on his forehead.
Scarlett Yates was wondering why he would buy such a large portion. After hearing his explanation, her heart ward up instantly, and a smile spread across her lips: "I like it, really like it. I’ll definitely try my best to finish it later."
Matthew Saxon also smiled, waving the tickets in his other hand: "We can enter ten minutes earlier. It’s about ti, so let’s go and check the tickets."
When couples go on a movie date, few actually focus on the film.
Once inside, with the lights off, and as the movie starts playing, the pitch-black hall had quite a few people’s heads "itching to move."
Especially the back row.
The couple in the adjoining seats were already snugly wrapped around each other, and soon enough, they began a deep, lingering kiss.
The woman giggled, her voice coy and sweet: "Oh, you’re so naughty."
That voice was both coquettish and gentle, with the word "naughty" elongated, seeming to wind around one’s ear several tis.
Scarlett shivered all over, her hand shook too, and the popcorn she was holding, along with the goosebumps erging on her skin, all fell to the ground.
Just as the woman finished her playful scolding, the man’s low chuckle sounded again, full of mischief: "If n weren’t bad, won wouldn’t love them. You like my naughty side, don’t you, sweetie? I’ve missed you so much these past few days."
"What’s the hurry, grabbing everywhere. I still want to watch the movie, so be good."
"Oh, dear sweetie, what’s so good about the movie? Co give a kiss, I’ve missed you to death."
"Hmph, you only know how to sweet-talk , your words sound nicer than a song. If you really missed , why haven’t you called in days? Heartless, who knows where you’ve been fooling around."
"Sweetie, I swear to the heavens, my feelings for you are sincere. You’re my darling, without you, how could I live? No woman in the world could compare to even one of your fingers. With you, how could I look at any other woman?"
After saying that, unable to hold back any longer, the man hugged the woman and kissed her again.
In the darkness, the heart-pounding, face-flushing sounds started to fill the space. And to make it worse, a young couple a row ahead had also started cuddling.
This movie... was simply unwatchable.
The exaggerated noises from the lovey-dovey couple next door made it impossible for Scarlett to pretend she couldn’t hear.
Her face was burning like fire.
Her eyes were fixed on the screen, but she didn’t absorb any of the plot. Her mind was completely blank regarding what was happening on the screen.
The couple next door seed like they hadn’t seen each other in centuries, stuck together like conjoined twins, heating things up further, treating everyone around them as invisible.
With the auditorium ceiling as their blanket, and the single seats as their bed, they were utterly absorbed in each other.
Scarlett never thought she would encounter sothing like this.
The couple, wholeheartedly engaged in their performance, felt no embarrassnt. Yet, as the spectator, she felt her face was burning with heat.
At that mont, Matthew Saxon’s hand reached over.
His hand was as hot as her face, and in the darkness, he still accurately found Scarlett’s hand, gently holding it.
Scarlett’s hand started trembling.
Although there was a Matthew Saxon between her and that couple, she could clearly hear the commotion over there. She believed Matthew must have heard and seen even more clearly.
