Thinking about soone like him, who was willing to wear a bunny hairband and sell popcorn just to make her happy, Scarlett Yates’s once frightened heart was instantly ward.
She knew she was being a bit unreasonable today, and she also knew her behavior seed a little pretentious.
In the past, she wouldn’t have acted like this, but Matthew Saxon’s affection and indulgence made her increasingly pretentious, and more prone to little tantrums.

Scarlett Yates dared not tell him she had been chatting with Maxwell Saxon; instead, she squeezed out a sweet, radiant smile from the corners of her lips, took his arm willingly, and said cheerfully, "Just as I was about to head downstairs, my stomach suddenly hurt a bit, so I went to the restroom."
"Oh, is that so?" Matthew Saxon squinted, expressing doubt.
Scarlett Yates’s smile stiffened montarily, then quickly returned to normal, nodding firmly, "That’s right, when nature calls, it’s not sothing I can control, right?"
After saying this, she quickly looked away.
Matthew Saxon’s eyes were so penetrating, it felt as if he could see right through her. When she t his gaze, Scarlett Yates felt as if there was nowhere to hide.
Fortunately, Matthew Saxon didn’t probe too deeply into the matter, and he led her out of the mall.
Outside, the wind was blowing; it wasn’t strong, but the low temperature made it feel biting cold against the face.
Matthew Saxon wrapped Scarlett Yates in his coat, using it as a shield against the wind.
As the coat opened, a warm breath engulfed her, accompanied by a pleasant fragrance.
She nestled against his chest, inhaling the fragrance on him, feeling as if she were enveloped entirely by his presence. Though the wind was biting, Scarlett Yates didn’t feel cold at all with his coat shielding her.
A little greedy for this warmth, she snuggled closer into him, as if she wished she could burrow fully into his coat.
Matthew Saxon also enjoyed her dependency, looking down at her, his usually aloof, icy face lting like an iceberg, his eyes warm with laughter.
The two walked affectionately for a bit and then arrived at a place with many food stalls.
The air was filled with the enticing aroma of food.
At one small stall, a large pot was boiling with skewered vegetables and ats on bamboo sticks, the broth constantly bubbling, the spiced soup emitting a very tempting scent.
This was Gundo jijial, a snack Scarlett Yates particularly liked to eat when the weather turned cold.
The seafood porridge she had for lunch seed to have been almost digested, and Scarlett Yates poked her head out from Matthew Saxon’s coat, eagerly eyeing the Gundo jijial, smacking her lips as she looked up at Matthew Saxon: "Matthew Saxon, have you ever tried this?"
