After turning away, Scarlett Yates could still feel Maxwell Saxon’s gaze on her.
A chilling glare stabbed coldly into her back, making Scarlett shudder involuntarily.

Soon after Scarlett Yates reached the living room, Maxwell Saxon followed.
Perhaps he was angered by her; he hadn’t touched the food at all.
"You have only one hour." Entering the living room, he said to Scarlett Yates, his face expressionless.
"When are we going?" Scarlett Yates was flipping through a fashion magazine, her eyes resting on the pages, but not absorbing a word, just waiting for Maxwell Saxon to speak.
As soon as he spoke, she dropped the magazine onto the sofa, raised her head, eting his obscure gaze.
Seeing her anxious expression, Maxwell Saxon’s barely controlled fury surged again.
With his lips tightly pressed, he clenched his fingers into fists, suppressing the fiery anger that flickered in his eyes, extinguishing it through sheer will.
He took a deep breath, striving to control his temper and not lash out at her; his face remained tense, his voice taut, indifferent as he asked, "When do you want to leave?"
Scarlett Yates could tell he wanted to explode.
At this key mont, she decided not to provoke him further, better to let him send her over first.
She pretended to ponder for a mont, and slowly spoke, "I don’t have much to do here, I think I want to go now."
After speaking, she paused for a few seconds, then slowly added, "Is that okay?"
Maxwell Saxon’s tightly pressed lips moved slightly, just about to speak when his phone rang.
He answered the call, unaware of what was said on the other end; his cold eyes squinted a bit, he glanced at Scarlett Yates, then turned around, walked towards the floor-to-ceiling window.
The vast sunlight bathed the spot where he stood.
Wearing a white shirt, black suit trousers wrapped around his long, straight legs, his handso face was marked with a hint of fatigue, slightly haggard, yet his appearance remained outstanding, standing in the golden sunlight, like a deity descending from the heavens.
Outside the window was an endless sea.
Because the entire wall was made of glass, the sky, sea, beach, and vast tropical plants outside could be seen clearly.
From Scarlett Yates’s perspective, Maxwell Saxon appeared to be standing in a picturesque landscape, yet his own charisma overshadowed the beauty outside.
Undoubtedly, his appearance was striking, his gestures exuded an exceptional aura, making him highly appealing to the opposite sex.
But this seemingly charming man holds significant danger.
Scarlett Yates experienced this thoroughly.
Matthew Saxon stood by the window for a while, seemingly sensing Scarlett Yates’s gaze; he suddenly raised his head.
His cool eyes t Scarlett Yates’s inquisitive gaze, his eyes flickered for a mont, then he turned his head, spoke a few words, and hung up the phone.
