After discovering that tunnel, Lin Fan moved above ground again.
It didn't take him long to find Kennedy and the ship since they had been hovering over the sa area as before. With the way that they waited, it was as if they had been waiting for him the entire ti.
Lin Fan didn't explain anything to them as he had them fly to where the Love Sect was gathered.
That was where Senior Brother Ying was leading the rest of the elders of the Love Sect.
There were a few elders that had been sent off on the wild goose chase as a distraction and they knew that this was a wild goose chase, which was why they went all out in putting on a show.
But most of the elders had remained with Senior Brother Ying in this hidden place, waiting for Lin Fan to call on them.
In fact, most of them seed like they were getting ready to relax.
It seed like they didn't believe that Lin Fan would call them in the end.
Which was why they were surprised when Lin Fan actually ca to find them.
But that didn't an that they weren't ready for whatever he needed them for. Even if they were preparing to relax, that didn't an that they had completely let down their guard.
So when Lin Fan summoned them, they naturally were ready for anything that happened.
They were surprised to hear what Lin Fan had discovered, but they also seed like they were excited when they had the chance to show off their power. At the sa ti, this was a chance to protect the Mu Empire and the Love Sect, so they were excited to show off.
It was just that…
After opening the door of the entrance tunnel, it didn't seem like there was anything that was inside of this place.
It seed that this place was empty with how there wasn't a single thing that was here. There even seed to be a layer of dust that was gathered in this place.
However, there was no denying that this was a high tech base.
After entering the base, the lights turned on all on their own.
There was no telling where the source of this energy was coming from, but all of the lights instantly lit up when we walked out of the entrance tunnel. It almost seed like it was sound activated with how quickly it turned on.
The mont that the lights turned on, everyone raised their guards just in case sothing happened.
But there wasn't a single thing that happened.
Other than the lights turning on, it was as if there wasn't a single thing that was here.
Of course, it wasn't as if the lights would just turn on on their own like this. It really seed like there was sothing here that had caused this to happen.
"It's a motion sensor." Kennedy suddenly said after pointing to one of the tiles on the ground.
This tile seed just like the other tiles that were here, so it didn't seem like it was the cause. Only when he pulled it up a bit, it revealed that there was sothing that was under the tile.
Senior Brother Ying and the other elders of the Love Sect didn't really understand what this thing was, but it was different for Lin Fan who had so prior knowledge. He could tell that there was so kind of pressure sensitive chanism that was under the tile.
That was what Kennedy ant by a motion sensor.
If it went down, then the sensor would react and turn on the lights.
This was quite the clever design, it would ensure that no one would be able to sneak into this base. Or at least they wouldn't be able to sneak into this base if they didn't know about this pressure plate sensor.
But it was already too late to do anything about this.
The lights had been activated and whoever was in this base should have already been alerted of their presence. So the only thing that could be done now was…
"Go and search this place. See if you can find anything about who owns this place." Lin Fan raised his hand to gesture forward as he gave this order.
Senior Brother Ying and the other elders nodded in agreent before spreading out.
They didn't hesitate to follow this order since they didn't feel any pressure from this place. They couldn't sense anything that would pose a threat to them, so they didn't have any fear as they started exploring.
But it didn't take long for sothing to happen.
"Boom!"
There was a large explosion from in front of Lin Fan that caught his attention.
When the dust from the explosion settled, it revealed a strange scene.
There was this strange thing that was attacking Senior Brother Ying.
He didn't seem to be struggling against it, but he also didn't end it right away. It was as if he was stalling out the fight with the way that he continued to pull this strange looking beast around.
Lin Fan took this chance to take a closer look at the strange looking beast.
When he did, he found that this strange looking beast wasn't actually that strange at all. Or at the very least, he was able to recognize what kind of beast it was, but this was definitely not the kind of beast that he had seen before.
It really seed different from anything that he had seen previously.
That was because this fox like creature had so kind of large mouth that was on its chest.
This large mouth had these tendril like tongues that kept trying to wrap around Senior Brother Ying, but he was able to break free from these tendril like tongues each ti. It didn't seem like they were strong enough to properly restrain him.
At the sa ti, the strange fox like creature released so kind of strange feeling.
It felt like spiritual energy to a certain extent, but it also felt like there was sothing that was corrupting the spiritual energy of the strange fox like creature. It was almost as if there was so kind of foreign energy that was mixed into the spiritual energy of the fox like creature.
It took Lin Fan a while to realize what it was.
"The radiation energy."
This was the sa radiation energy that he had felt earlier from above, only it didn't seem as strong as the one that he had felt previously. It didn't seem like the radiation energy that this fox like creature was releasing should have been strong enough to cause the sa phenonon as before.
Not to ntion, the spiritual energy that it was releasing was only in the Foundation Realm.
Seeing that it was hard for Senior Brother Ying to subdue it, Lin Fan said, "Just kill it."
Senior Brother Ying seed to hesitate for a second before saying, "Sect master, I can subdue it."
Lin Fan shook his head before saying, "There's no aning to keeping it alive. We won't be able to find anything from analyzing this thing. It's best if we just put it out of its misery."
Senior Brother Ying once again hesitated for a second when he heard this before suddenly giving a sigh.
With spiritual energy properly gathered in his fist, it only took a single blow for him to take down this fox like creature. Without any hesitation, his fist went right through the chest of the fox like creature.
It crushed all of the tendril like tongues that ca out of the mouth on the fox like creature's chest.
There was no resistance at all as he crushed through these tendrils.
It just went to show that if Senior Brother Ying had been serious from the beginning, he wouldn't have struggled at all against this thing. He was much stronger than this thing that was only in the Foundation Realm, even if it had a strange physique and power.
That punch continued on to create a hole in the chest of the fox like creature, but it didn't die right away. It seed like the flesh of the fox like creature was trying to close itself to heal it.
So Senior Brother Ying released another punch.
This ti, that punch was aid at the head of the fox like creature.
This ti, the punch shattered the fox like creature's head and it slumped onto the ground.
Once its brain had been destroyed, it just couldn't keep moving anymore.
"What is this thing?" Senior Brother Ying couldn't help asking, but there was no one that was able to answer this question. After all, it wasn't as if there was anyone that actually knew the answer to this question.
Instead, Lin Fan went closer to the door that they ca out of to take a look at the room that was there.
There were shards of glass that were all over the floor when he went over to take a look. It didn't take him long to figure out where these shards of glass ca from.
There were these giant vats that were in this room and the glass shards ca from them being shattered.
At the sa ti, it wasn't just the fox like creature that had been in the room.
There were other creatures that were there that seed to resemble other beasts, but they weren't as active as the fox like creature.
They were all lying on the ground as if they were dead, or at least in so kind of coma.
"Just what are these things?" Lin Fan couldn't help asking himself.
