Main Workshop Assembly Area.
Three crimson steel behemoths, each fifteen ters tall, stood silently.
Their outer armor displayed an interwoven hue of dark gold and crimson.
Thick plates of molten titanium crystal were layered over one another, encasing the joints. Every inch of the chs’ surfaces was designed to withstand extre heat and close-quarters combat.
Allen stood on a high platform, his gaze sweeping over the three chs.
"Begin ignition test."
The command was given.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The volcano engines in the chests of the three chs erupted with a low rumble. Conduction Runes lit up in sequence along the patterns of the armor. Within monts, the temperature in the lower-level workshop skyrocketed by more than fifty degrees, and the expanding hot air created visible, distorted ripples.
Various data streams scrolled rapidly past Allen’s eyes.
[Magic Power Furnace Output: Stable. Rune Circuits: Clear. Power Arm-Armor System: Nominal. Adaptive Combat Protocols: Activated.]
Allen pulled up a holographic map of the lava lake sub-base.
Two "Fla Devils" were already on standby there, along with five Heavy Armored Golems capable of moving freely in two-thousand-degree magma. It was more than enough to turn that entire lava lake upside down.
’If those Magical Beasts dare to attack today, I’ll blow them all to smithereens!’
"Jarvis, dispatch a few Floating Ships and send these three Fla Devils to assemble at the lava lake."
[Dispatching now. Communication request from War Zone 19. Connect?]
Allen nodded slightly, and a projection of Victor Iron Fla imdiately appeared in the mid-air of the workshop.
"Allen, my project has been attacked. When are you going to make your move?" Victor’s expression was grim.
"What’s the rush? They’ll be there soon."
Allen leaned back in his chair and took a sip of the iced dewfruit juice beside him. "It takes ti to assemble the troops. Have you opened up the permissions?"
"I’ve already opened entry permissions for War Zone 19." Victor sent over an encrypted file. "Rember, flight altitude is restricted to below three thousand ters, and your operational range is limited to a fifty-kiloter radius around the volcano cluster. Do not approach my core defense zone. If you cross the line, my anti-air arrays will open fire automatically."
Allen looked at the narrow and heavily restricted flight path and combat zone displayed on the light screen.
’This junior is more guarded against than he would be a thief.’
"So many rules." Allen accepted the encrypted permission Rune. "In one hour, my flight formation will arrive in the designated airspace. Be ready to open your skies."
The communication cut out.
Allen thought for a mont.
"Jarvis, let’s use this opportunity to test a two-front operation. On one side, expanding our territory at the lava lake. On the other, a high-altitude cleanup in War Zone 19. Will there be any issues if I don’t take direct control?"
[Forces on both fronts exceed 60% strength. Armants are plentiful, intelligence is detailed, and there is a sufficient surplus of Magic Power and processing power. Commander, the advantage is ours. The two-front operation is completely viable.]
"Excellent. Ti is Magic Stones. Begin weapon loadout." Allen headed for the hangar.
Inside the hangar, the Factory Servants were working in an orderly fashion.
Twelve Storm Falcons slid into the mounting area one by one. Their belly bomb bays opened.
Cylindrical Crystal Bombs were loaded in one after another.
Each of these twelve Storm Falcons was loaded with three Crystal Bombs—a total of thirty-six special-purpose weapons with full charges, enough to completely turn half a volcano to glass.
This was the gift Allen had specially prepared for the lava wyverns’ nest.
Using conventional explosives at the crater could easily trigger a massive volcanic eruption, which would not only destroy Victor’s base but also affect the stability of the underground magma network. Crystal Bombs solved this problem perfectly. They could wipe out the nest without any pollution or topographical damage.
"Easy, easy. If this thing blows, the whole hangar will turn into glass shards," Allen called out, not caring whether the Factory Servants could understand him.
[Crystal Bomb loadout complete. Safeties locked. Fuses switched to high-altitude delay mode.]
"Demon Eye III models 14, 15, and 16, deploy ahead. Target: airspace above the volcano cluster. Establish a tactical communications relay network."
The three spherical probes hovering above the Furnace Workshop imdiately began moving south. They would arrive ahead of schedule above the War Zone 19 volcano cluster to lay down a wide-area dynamic sensory network and act as communication relays, ensuring Allen’s commands were transmitted without any delay.
On the other side, in a large, semi-subterranean hangar.
The Control Cores of the "Freedom Gundams" activated. Two blue-and-white chs, each eighteen ters tall, stood side by side. Their azure optical main sensors lit up one after another, dispelling the hangar’s gloom.
These were the absolute main force for aerial combat.
Ever since slaying the Rock Armor Earth Dragon, Unit 01 had been undergoing maintenance, while Unit 02 had been in for servicing.
"Comncing self-diagnostic sequence." Allen’s Spiritual Power connected to the chs.
The five pairs of wing-like thrusters on their backs repeatedly extended and retracted. A massive Ship-Slicing Blade was precisely locked into a back-mounted hardpoint by a chanical arm.
[Singularity engine output stable. Weapons online. Dragon Cavalry system ready. Anti-Gravity Rune Array operating nominally.]
"Two Freedoms, twelve Storm Falcons." Allen opened his eyes, a faint blue data stream flashing through his pupils. "For a flock of First-Level Wizard-grade feathered beasts, this is overkill."
[Aerial combat wing ready. Can deploy at any ti.]
「At the sa ti.」
The lava lake sub-base, one hundred twenty kiloters away.
Dark red magma churned and boiled. A pungent sll filled the air.
The three new Fla Devils that had just co off the assembly line had arrived on schedule.
Five PX-2 "Fla Devils" finished assembling on the shore of the lava lake, poised and ready for action.
The surfaces of Unit 01 and Unit 02 were covered in dark scratches—battle scars left from clearing out Fire Elental Creatures. In contrast, the three new chs that had just rolled off the line were shiny and brand new.
The five chs stood side by side and simultaneously raised the piercing spears on their right arms.
The Rune modules activated, and the spear tips began to vibrate at a high frequency, shattering the surrounding air with a teeth-grinding hum.
Allen sat in the workshop, his view split between two scenes.
On the left was a clear blue skyline; on the right, a crimson lava lake.
"Begin the operation."
Allen gave the final order.
BOOM!
The two Freedom Gundams blasted out torrential streams of Magic Power particles. The massive chs instantly broke free from gravity’s pull and shattered the sound barrier, leaving two white vapor trails in the mid-air. The twelve Storm Falcons followed close behind in a wedge formation, racing toward War Zone 19.
By the shore of the lava lake.
Without a mont’s hesitation, the five Fla Devils took heavy strides and leaped directly into the boiling magma.
SPLASH! SPLASH!
The dark red liquid splashed more than ten ters high. The massive bodies of the five steel behemoths quickly subrged beneath the lake’s surface. Their heat-resistant armor insulated them from the two-thousand-degree heat, and their volcano engines began to greedily draw in the surrounding Fire Elental Magic Power.
In the sky and deep below.
Two forces, representing the pinnacle of industrial violence, departed simultaneously for their respective battlefields.
Allen watched the red dots blinking incessantly on the topographical map.
The wyvern flock at the War Zone 19 crater, and the two high-energy sources in the lava lake.
’Let the show begin.’
