After flipping through the notebook in his hands for a while, Isaac closed it. He now had a rough idea of the path forward.

Next, Isaac put the notebook away and walked over to a corner of the laboratory, where the recently delivered materials were piled up.

Of course, these weren’t the ones he had bought, but the supplies his father had just approved for him.

Most of them were various kinds of Demons, with a smaller portion being Demon body parts, including refined Demonized Flesh Essence.

The variety was quite comprehensive. Clearly, they had been sent under his big sister’s guidance.

SQUELCH~

The sound of tearing flesh suddenly rang out as Demon Claw Harmon erged from the nape of Isaac’s neck. After stretching its five fingers for a mont, its palm split open violently, and a deep purple tongue extended to lick the air.

"Heh... Go on, eat." Isaac shook his head and gave the command nonchalantly.

"HISS~"

Harmon let out an excited hiss and then lunged at the Demons. There were five types of Demons delivered in total, and it picked one of each to devour.

For a ti, the only sounds in the laboratory were the miserable cries of the Demons and the sound of chewing—a particularly grim and horrifying scene.

"Hiss... Huff..."

After Harmon finished eating, Isaac staggered back to his desk and sat down. He shook his head hard, trying to clear it, then hunched over the desk and began to copy down the entire anatomical structure of the Demons Harmon had just swallowed.

As the saying goes, the faintest ink is more reliable than the strongest mory. Even though his mory had improved again after becoming a Wizard, and even though his Golden Finger could also record information, Isaac was still in the habit of recording Knowledge on paper.

For one, it was a chance to organize what he had learned. For another, if he ever encountered sothing like the Mad Witch’s symposium again, he’d have sothing to trade, wouldn’t he?

’Can’t just copy it on the spot, can I?’

’That would be so tacky!’

There were five types of Demons in the delivery: the most common Tier One Demon in the Wilderness, the Gale Demon Wolf; the hardest to kill Tier One Demon Beast, the Horned Rabbit; the easiest to raise Tier One Demon, the at Sli; the most ordinary Tier One Demon, the Wilderness Spirit Deer; and the rarest Non-Rank Demon, the Blood Mosquito.

Isaac was very interested in all five of these Demons. The Gale Demon Wolf and the Horned Rabbit would be his primary research subjects. One was a common mount and pet for Black Orcs, with the highest conversion rate for the Flesh Nest. The other possessed extrely powerful Recovery Power, even having a nearly heaven-defying ability to split itself!

The Horned Rabbit’s own combat power was average, but its Talent Spell allowed it to split into identical individuals upon death to avoid its demise. According to the Demon data Isaac had read, a single Horned Rabbit could split a maximum of three tis!

That is, one becos two, two beco four, and four beco eight. During this process, as long as a single one escapes, all the others will instantly dissolve into bloody water.

In other words, if you want to kill a Horned Rabbit, unless you completely obliterate its body—like how Harmon swallowed it whole—you would have to kill it 15 tis to finally put it down!

However, compared to its heaven-defying Talent Spell, the Horned Rabbit’s other aspects were severely lacking. Its individual stats were pathetic. Despite being a noble Tier One Demon, its physical constitution was probably weaker than even a Non-Rank Demonized Wild Boar, given the significant size difference.

Isaac was well aware of this. After Harmon swallowed it, the rabbit’s complete anatomical structure was displayed before him. At the sa ti, he also ca to a rough understanding of the principle behind the Horned Rabbit’s magic.

This splitting wasn’t without a cost. Each ti it split, its mories and soul would also be split in half, and the part lost with each split was gone forever!

In other words, after splitting three consecutive tis, it would be left with only a shred of instinct...

Furthermore, this magic could only be activated three tis in its life. After the third ti, it could not split any further.

It was a spell with very obvious advantages and disadvantages.

No wonder no Wizard had managed to replicate such a heaven-defying spell. To a Wizard, both soul and mory were extrely precious, especially mory!

That was hard-earned Knowledge from their research!

Compared to losing their Knowledge, they would rather lose their lives!

Of course, Isaac was more inclined to believe it was fucking useless.

Against a powerful enemy, you’d die all the sa. The Horned Rabbit’s so-called resilience was only because it mostly encountered other Demons in the Wilderness. Against humans, it would just be a matter of a few extra stabs. Not much of a difference.

However, Isaac saw extrely powerful War potential in the Horned Rabbit!

On a battlefield, one Horned Rabbit was equivalent to fifteen...

What if there were a hundred, or a thousand?

Once its Talent Spell was fully activated on that scale, the scene... tsk, tsk~

Talk about a Zerg rush!

In the face of absolute numbers, individual strength is not worth ntioning!

Well, only for anything below Advanced-tier~

As for the other three, the at Sli was basically just a filler. Its combat ability was actually decent, with an incredibly powerful devouring ability. Unfortunately, the at Sli was a typical glass cannon—high attack, low defense. A single good stab and it was dead, unlike other types of Slis that required a blow to the core to be killed in one hit.

The most ridiculous part was that the at Sli’s only thod of attack was devouring...

To this day, the academic world remained deeply curious as to how this Demon, the at Sli, had not yet gone extinct.

The Wilderness Spirit Deer was rumored to have the potential to beco a Divine Species - Wild Spirit. Cheryl must have included it on purpose. Unfortunately, it was just a rumor. Isaac saw nothing related to the Divinity System in the Wilderness Spirit Deer’s body.

The Blood Mosquito was an extrely rare insect-type Demon. In large numbers, its combat power was also quite considerable.

All in all, despite the mixed reviews these five Demons received, in Isaac’s eyes, even the at Sli—the one with the lowest rating from the academic world—possessed excellent War value!

This was because the Demon soldiers nurtured by the Flesh Nest didn’t have to deal with the most critical issue: biological rejection. It was enough for them to maintain peak combat effectiveness for just one hour.

Or, to be less demanding, even half an hour would do!

Therefore, he could be a little less restrained when it ca to biological modification.

But the actual modifications would have to wait until tomorrow...

After writing the last word, Isaac let out a huge yawn, stretched, took a few steps, and dove headfirst onto the bed in the laboratory, falling into a deep sleep...

SHLICK~

Harmon quietly erged from the nape of Isaac’s neck. It carefully moved the rest of his body onto the bed, then gently pulled the covers over him. It let out a few soft hisses toward Shushu at the head of the bed.

Then, the claw and the mouse tiptoed to a corner of the laboratory. Harmon spat out a Luminous Pearl from the mouth in its palm, its faint glow illuminating Shushu and the prir book in front of it.

"Hiss hiss~"

Harmon opened the book to the first page and began explaining to Shushu in a low voice. Shushu listened intently, nodding from ti to ti as if deep in thought.

"Hiss hiss~"

Harmon tapped the first page with one of its claws, asking if Shushu understood.

"Squeak?" Shushu looked up, its face a mask of complete confusion. Its clear little eyes stared at Harmon, making its skin crawl...
