"Betrayal?"

Yodel sneered: "What right do you have to speak of betrayal in front of me!"

"But what have you done once you gained power?"

His voice turned mournful: "You dismissed me with the position of a mere regional bishop, and at that, a region like Laud Kenno’s mountain areas. What? Were you so eager to burn bridges? Afraid of keeping me in the Church central so as not to reveal your past wretched state?"

Yodel’s eyes turned red, his voice a cold sneer: "What are you, you are nothing in front of me, you slut!"

The conflict between Yodel and Julia could easily be described with four words—

Unequal sharing of spoils.

However, after Julia’s rise, she only managed to dismiss him with a regional bishop role, identity, status, resources... How could this be tolerated!
