The Duke whispered softly, "Just the right ti to try that magic."

He raised his left hand.

From the inner side of his left arm, the Yellow Sand Crystal burst forth with a blinding light.

In the next mont, countless tallic Yellow Sand surged from his body, roaring like a river of sand, rushing towards the sky.

The tallic Yellow Sand gathered, condensed, and stacked in the sky, frantically ascending.

Ten ters, fifty ters, one hundred ters, two hundred ters, three hundred ters.

When the billowing dust finally dissipated, an even larger figure appeared before the Kobold.

It was a colossal statue standing at three hundred and fifty ters tall.

Its entire body was made of dark golden tallic Yellow Sand, gleaming with a chilling luster under the gray-yellow sky.

Its silhouette was humanoid, with a head, a torso, and four limbs.

Its head lacked facial features, only a pair of hollow eye sockets now burning with newly ignited flas.

Giant Divine Soldier Summoning: Demon God Descent.

The Kobold was stunned.

It raised its head, gazing at the towering monstrosity that stood a hundred ters taller than itself, and for the first ti, fear appeared in its eyes burning with dark yellow flas.

But it did not retreat.

The Kobold tightened the stone stick in its hand, letting out an even more ferocious roar as it charged towards the Giant Divine Soldier.

The Giant Divine Soldier lowered its head, looking at the tiny figure rushing towards it.

Then, the flas in its eye sockets suddenly transford.

No longer the empty earthy yellow, but black, pure and deep, as if capable of devouring all light.

A black beam of light shot skyward from the statue’s chest, piercing the heavens.

In the sky, the curtain of gray-yellow sand was torn open with a massive rift.

Behind the rift was endless darkness, where sothing was awakening.

A gigantic black arm stretched out from the rift, followed by a shoulder, then a head, then the entire upper body.

It was the phantom of a Demon God, pitch-black, with black flas flowing across its surface.

Its head resembled so sort of beast, with a pair of curved long horns atop it.

The Demon God’s eye sockets were ablaze with the sa black flas as the statue, its mouth twisting into a cruel smile.

It glanced at the colossal statue beneath its feet, then at the distant Kobold rushing forward.

Then, the Demon God laughed.

That smile was full of savagery and excitent.

It broke free from the rift, its entire body transforming into a black light, rging into the statue.

The black flas in the statue’s eye sockets suddenly surged.

The Demon God raised its right hand, with fingers clenched in a loose grip.

In the void, countless black flas gathered from all sides, forming a giant black long blade in its palm.

The blade was a hundred ters long, entirely pitch-black, with dark purple light flowing along the edge, the color of Shadow Energy compressed to the utmost degree.

The statue gripped the long blade tightly, staring at the charging Kobold.

The Kobold abruptly stopped a thousand ters from the statue.

It gazed at the black long blade, at the dark purple light flowing on that blade, and at the black flas starting to burn on the statue.

The fear finally shone in the Kobold’s eyes.

The Demon God’s Dark Attribute had been refined to a level nearly akin to rules.

The black flas burning on its body were not ordinary Shadow Energy; they were manifestations of Shadow Rules, capable of eroding, devouring, assimilating any energy touched.

The Kobold tightened its grip on the stone stick, beginning to retreat for the first ti.

But the statue did not give it the chance to retreat.

The three hundred and fifty ters tall statue moved astonishingly fast.

It stepped forward, crossing a thousand ters in an instant, raising the black long blade high and slashing it down towards the Kobold.

The Kobold roared angrily, lifting the stone stick to block.

"Clang—!!!"

The thunderous sound of tal clashing shook the earth, with shockwaves sweeping across the entire desert, leveling surrounding dunes.

The flas and lightning entwined around the stone stick were devoured by the black flas upon contact with the blade.

The stone stick itself began to crumble under the blade’s slash, scattering debris everywhere.

The Kobold’s legs were forced into the sand by the attack, sinking all the way to the knees.

It raised its head, gazing at the two flickering black flas within the giant statue’s eye sockets, the fear in its eyes had turned into despair.

The giant statue lowered its head and t its gaze.

Then, the giant statue raised its left hand, spreading its five fingers, aiming at the Kobold’s head.

Black flas spewed out from the palm, transforming into a thick pillar of fire, enveloping the Kobold entirely.

The Kobold let out a piercing scream.

The black flas burned fiercely on its body, devouring its energy, corroding its flesh.

Its skin began to crack, scale armor started to peel off, muscles began to dissolve.

But it did not fall.

After all, the Kobold was a Level 2 Peak lifeform, and at the brink of life and death, its potential was fully activated.

It roared furiously, a blinding yellow light erupted around its body, the light of Earth Elental Energy burning to its extre.

The lights contended with the black flas, temporarily halting the flas’ corrosion.

The giant statue tilted its head slightly, seemingly surprised by its tenacity.

Then, it raised the black long knife again.

But just as the knife was about to fall, the sand beneath the Kobold’s feet suddenly collapsed.

Countless sand streams surged from the underground, transforming into nurous thick sandy chains, tightly binding the Kobold’s legs, waist, arms, and neck.

Though those sandy chains couldn’t harm it, they successfully restricted its movents, making it unable to evade the impending fatal blow.

The Kobold looked down and saw deep in the sand, a humanoid figure ford by countless sand grains slowly rising.

Duke had completely elentized and rged with the entire desert.

In this boundless desert, he was the sand, and the sand was him.

He could appear anywhere, could mobilize any grain of sand, could harness the full power of this world.

The giant statue seized the opportunity to swing the long knife, black flas burned wildly over the blade, dark purple light illuminated the entire sky.

As that blade descended, the world changed color.

The Kobold struggled desperately, trying to break free from those sandy chains.

But the more those chains bound, the deeper it sank as it struggled.

The long knife fell.

The blade cut into the Kobold’s neck.

Black flas instantly consud its last resistance.

The Kobold’s head flew high, its massive body fell with a thunderous crash, raising a cloud of sand and dust.

The giant statue stood before it, looking down at the slowly dispersing body.

In its eye sockets, the two clusters of black flas flickered, seemingly still lingering.

Duke walked out of the sand, standing at the giant statue’s feet.

He raised his head, gazing at the colossal figure standing 350 ters tall, a satisfied expression on his face.

The desert environnt made his recovery speed remarkable, maintaining elentalization the entire ti without feeling any burden.

And the combat power of the Giant Divine Soldier was even stronger than he had anticipated.

That Kobold was at Level 2 Peak, yet had almost no power to fight back against the giant statue.

He raised his left hand, and the Yellow Sand Crystal glowed faintly.

The giant statue glanced down at him, then slowly disintegrated, turning into countless tallic yellow sand, which regrouped back into his body.

The surrounding space began to distort and collapse.

Floor 28, passed.

Although Duke was relaxed, he certainly didn’t look it on the surface.

At the mont the giant statue disintegrated, his complexion was pale, cold sweat covered his forehead, his legs trembled slightly, looking as if his magic power was overdrawn and his spiritual power at the brink of exhaustion.

"Exit Illusion Tower? Current floor: 28"

"Confirm."

Blue light flashed, and his figure vanished into the boundless desert.

When Duke appeared outside the Illusion Tower, he stumbled, reaching out to hold onto the doorfra, barely stabilizing himself.

His face was so pale it seed devoid of blood, cold sweat drenched his forehead, his breathing rapid and erratic, his magic robe stained with sand and sweat.

The whole person looked like crawling back from the battlefield, pathetic, exhausted, liable to topple at any mont.

Simultaneously, countless gazes projected from around, looking at this sowhat disheveled person erging from the Illusion Tower.

Duke maintained his current state, he knew this was the ti to test an old artist’s composure, he had to act even more convincingly.
