Chapter 444: Chapter 212 Fierce Battle (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)

As Rein and Vinica made their way toward the cliff where the Ironbeak Sea Eagles nested, Rein checked the status of his freshly advanced class from yesterday, the Weapon Master (Legendary).

In the corner below the bolded words “Weapon Master (Legendary),” a few lines of small text were visible:

Physical First Order Breakthrough Limit (100%)

Physical Second Order Breakthrough Limit (17%)

(Note: Original Strength is approximately equal to the Physical Second Order Breakthrough Limit.)

The power of Rein’s recent strike was much stronger than before.

On one hand, it was due to an increase of five points in the basic attributes of Strength, Agility, and Constitution, and on the other, the previously capped Breakthrough Limit could now be exceeded.

In fact, as soon as Rein saw the description of the Physical Second Order Breakthrough Limit, he had a suspicion.

It seemed that the path of the Knight truly focused on pursuing the development of one’s own body, or rather, unlocking the body, thereby obtaining transcendental bat prowess.

Also, during the battle with the Black Cheeked Fishmen, Rein had a chance to test out his understanding of how the First and Second Order Breakthrough Limits contributed to the enhancement of his attributes.

The method was essentially the same as before.

Assuming a basic Agility of 10 points, with the activation of the First Order Physical Breakthrough Limit, it would increase by 100%, being 20 points, calculated as 10 times (1 100%).

Now, however, it would be 10 times (1 100% 17%), and not 10 times (1 100%) and then times (1 17%).

Simply put, the increases from the First and Second Order Breakthrough Limits were additive, and 10 points of Agility could be boosted to 21.7.

As for the calculation of Strength, the bonus from the talent ‘Intermediate Giant Strength’ needed to be included.

If the base Strength was also 10 points, then it would be 10 times (1 100% 17% 200%), which is clearly a terrifying increase.

10 points of Strength, when fully exerted, could reach an extent of 41.7.

Of course, such a full exertion would drain a great deal of stamina, and on the other hand, if one’s Constitution couldn’t keep up, there could be side effects such as muscle soreness or even outright paralysis.

Rein had already experienced this firsthand.

Switching the interface back to the homepage—attributes page—Rein looked at his four talents and began to prehend something.

Why are talents so important?

Because if someone was born with the Junior Giant Strength Talent, once they became an adult, their base Strength would be slightly weaker pared to that of a formal Knight, but with the enhancement from the talent,

in terms of Strength alone, they could pletely pete with formal Knights, even senior ones.

And if one possessed the Intermediate Giant Strength Talent… then as an adult, they could pete with Peak Knights; no wonder some races documented in ancient books were so formidable in battle.

Walking beside Rein, Vinica, wearing a light blue robe, was clearly in high spirits, her beautiful eyes casting frequent glances toward Rein.

With Rein at her side, she felt an inexplicable sense of security.

Moreover, whether it was an illusion or not, Vinica’s keen senses told her that Lord Rein in front of her seemed to have undergone some mysterious change since yesterday.

This change was hard to define; it was as if Lord Rein had bee more charismatic.

Due to the choice of their landing location, they were quite near to the cliff where the Ironbeak Sea Eagles nested.

So, in less than twenty minutes, Rein and Vinica both arrived at the base of the cliff.

The cliff was a formidable four to five dozen meters high and almost vertical, but the rock face was pockmarked with exposed brown rocks, which made it clear to Rein that climbing would not be difficult for him.

The several huge Ironbeak Sea Eagles soaring above the cliff appeared to have noticed the unwele guests and began circling in the sky, observing Rein and Vinica.

Rein looked up and scrutinized the Ironbeak Sea Eagles.

The creatures were entirely brown with a wingspan of at least three meters. The iron beaks were black, curved, hook-shaped, and extremely sharp. From their appearance, their temperament seemed quite ferocious.

Rein nodded to himself internally.

Indeed, these birds, with the beginnings of vicious strength, could certainly be considered for him to capture a fledgling as his third pet and slowly train it later on.

“Miss Vinica, is there anything specific you need me to do?” Rein asked.

“Lord Rein, in a moment, I’ll have Big White attract the attention of the Ironbeak Sea Eagles. Then, I will rely on you to climb the cliff and catch a few of these Ironbeak Sea Eagle chicks,” Vinica replied.

“I only need three fledglings, and after you e down, I will cast the Mist Technique. Using the cover of the mist, we can safely leave this place,” she added.

Vinica clearly had experience and organized her plan methodically.

“Oh, and Lord Rein,” she continued, “the iron beak of the Ironbeak Sea Eagle is very powerful. A mere peck can breach the skulls of most animals once grasped in its talons.”

“Although it might not pose a threat to you, I would still urge you to be cautious,” she cautioned.

In fact, after arriving here, Vinica could have managed on her own, but she was quite looking forward to some interaction with Rein.

“Understood, Miss Vinica,” Rein nodded his response.

Vinica needed three chicks, and with one for himself, it meant that he had to bring down at least four fledglings.

“Lord Rein, when you’re ready, I’ll send Big White out,” Vinica said.

“Ready,” Rein affirmed.

Then, under Vinica’s mand, the giant white owl Big White, covered in a pale blue water film, took flight towards the cliff, immediately provoking the Ironbeak Sea Eagles.
