Capítulo 1544: Chapter 718: Do You Know What Iron Fist ans? (Part 4)

“Bang bang bang bang bang–!!”

The dull roar of the 12.7mm heavy machine gun instantly shattered the tranquility of the countryside!

The sandbags were riddled with holes, and the ard militants behind them were suppressed by the violent firepower and couldn’t lift their heads. Their screams were drowned out by the roar of the machine gun.

At the sa ti, the 30mm autocannons on the two wheeled armored personnel carriers slowly raised their barrels.

“Boom! Boom! Boom!!”

The sound of the autocannon firing was even more shocking. Each shell that landed near the fortifications kicked up large clods of dirt and debris, occasionally hitting the fortifications directly, sending sandbags and n alike into the sky!

The loudspeaker at the entrance of the village, which was playing on a loop, was blown to pieces in the first round of shelling.

“Armored vehicles, advance! Infantry, follow up! Clear out all visible personnel!” Captain Salvador’s voice ca through the radio, clearly reaching each squad and platoon.

No ntion of ard personnel was made.

The two armored vehicles moved like steel behemoths, continuing to fire their autocannons and coaxial machine guns as they roared toward the village. Their tracks and wheels crushed the bombed-out fortifications rcilessly, rolling over the incomplete bodies.

The infantry used the armored vehicles for cover, spreading out in combat formation, muzzle fire spitting tongues of fla as they precisely shot at any target still moving or attempting to raise a gun.

The battle quickly spread from the village entrance to the interior of the village.

The ard militants, taking advantage of their familiarity with the terrain, used houses and alleys for hopeless resistance, with the sound of makeshift shotguns and AK rifles firing from every corner.

But their resistance appeared feeble in the face of the regular army’s steel torrent and well-trained infantry.

The armored vehicles’ autocannons directly blasted down the walls of houses daring to shoot back, burying the ard militants inside along with the buildings.

The infantry cleared rooms with hand grenades, sweeping every corner with assault rifles.

“Clear!”

“Western sector cleared!”

“Found tunnel entrance, request demolition!”

“Approved! Blow it up!”

The sounds of explosions, gunfire, cries, curses, and dying groans…

Captain Salvador followed behind the troops; his orders were to “leave none behind,” and he understood the aning of that phrase.

For these stubborn ard rebels with the blood of governnt forces on their hands, and the soil that harbored them, the only way to handle them was to uproot and completely eradicate them.

Minorities?

Alright, you are now endangered species.

The battle lasted less than two hours.

When the last sporadic gunfire faded, the entire Santa Ana del Alto Village fell completely silent.

Only the crackling of burning houses and the thick scent of smoke and blood lingered in the air.

The soldiers began clearing each house, confirming the battle results.

Captain Salvador stood in the open area at the center of the village, listening to reports from each platoon.

“Preliminary count: 127 ard rebels killed, none surrendered, no prisoners. We have three lightly wounded.”

The Captain nodded, unsurprised by these results.

He glanced at the village, now a ruin of deathly silence, picked up the radio microphone, and reported to command:

“Reporting to command, Santa Ana del Alto Village has been cleared, all resistance forces have been completely eliminated. Mission accomplished.”

On the other end of the radio, Xiafei’s calm voice ca through: “Received. Proceed with the plan for follow-up asures, withdraw the troops for rest, and prepare for the next target.”

“Yes!”

Captain Salvador put down the microphone, took a final look at this earthly hell, and turned to walk toward his armored vehicle.

“Next target, Ogrizia Village, two kiloters away!”
