Patrick suspiciously took the photo, examining it under the light. “Ridiculous!” Patrick growled, “Do you really think I would believe such a poor lie?!”

“A lie?” Dembele gently shook his head, drawing another docunt from his briefcase, “We don’t need you to fully believe, we just need you to recognize such a ‘possibility’ exists.”

Dembele paused, looking at Patrick: “Engaging in direct war with us, Canada will suffer unimaginable economic loss and casualties. Cities like Halifax and Vancouver might be threatened. If the tragedy of the ‘Montreal’ was rely the work of a group of lawless ‘pirates’, then strong governnt ‘protests’ and ‘subsequent investigations’ seem reasonable and far cheaper. Patrick fell silent.
