Capítulo 1883: Chapter 809: My Great India Empire?

The British High Commissioner stood up, clapping out of courtesy, but his expression was as if he had just swallowed a fly. The instructions from London were to “win India’s support,” but they didn’t specify wanting this kind of “support” that painted the United Kingdom as a helpless old man and India as the Savior.

The news spread almost in real ti across the globe.

xico City, National Palace

“The world’s third-largest economy?”

Casare looked at the animated face of Pri Minister Gujral on the CNN live broadcast and snorted, “Did their statistics bureau include the economic value of cow dung in their calculations?”

Bramo adjusted his glasses, calmly analyzing: “India is playing a high-stakes ga. They want to use the UK’s crisis to elevate their global leadership role and seize the position of ‘spokesperson for the Global South.’ The ‘Forum of Forr Colonized Countries’ ntioned in the speech is a smart tactic—if successful, India can morally suppress us while drawing in African and Latin Arican countries.”

Victor said nothing, rely stirring his coffee slowly. On the screen, Gujral continued answering reporters’ questions, his tone growing increasingly confident.

“Their economic data is inflated,” Bramo continued as he pulled up the data, “but the growth is indeed fast. Moreover, they’ve seized upon one of our weaknesses: the ‘purity’ of our anti-colonial discourse is indeed problematic. Dostic indigenous rights and inco disparities are all real issues.”

“So?” Casare raised an eyebrow.

“So India wants to engage us in a ‘moral war.’ They’re betting we won’t dare openly refute the ‘anti-colonial’ narrative because it’s a major weapon we use against the UK.” Bramo looked at Victor, “Leader, do we need to respond?”

Victor finally put down his coffee cup, a subtle, enigmatic smile playing on his lips.

“Respond? Of course, we should respond. But not in a moral battleground debating with the Indians about who is purer.” He stood up and walked to the world map, “They want to be the ‘Global South Leader’? Want to raise the anti-colonial banner? Alright, I’ll give them the opportunity.”

He turned around, his eyes sharp: “Notify the Foreign Ministry to do three things. First, publicly welco India to lead the establishnt of the ‘Forum of Forr Colonized Countries’ and state that xico will ‘actively participate,’ while suggesting that the first eting of the forum be held in xico City—we’ll cover the costs and provide the venue.”

Casare was taken aback: “Boss, isn’t this helping them build a platform?”

“Let them build it,” Victor smiled, “Then guess, when African delegations co to xico City and see our developnt achievents, the ‘Silicon Valley xico’ park, the modern city, and then compare it to India’s slums and caste system… who will they consider as the ‘developnt model’?”

Bramo’s eyes lit up: “What about the second?”

“Second, in the na of the ‘xican Indigenous People’s Union,’ formally invite India’s ‘Dalit’ (untouchable) rights organizations and minority representatives to visit and exchange in xico, all expenses on us. Arrange for them to tour our indigenous autonomous regions, bilingual education projects, and cultural preservation centers.” Victor’s smile turned sowhat cold, “Since the Indian Pri Minister is concerned about indigenous rights worldwide, let’s see them start showing it at ho.”

“Third,” Victor’s finger tapped on the Indian Ocean area, “have the Navy Headquarters arrange for a ‘friendly visit,’ sending the destroyer ‘Kukulkan’ and two frigates to visit Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Myanmar for joint exercises and humanitarian dical services. When passing near Indian waters… give a suitable display of our ship-borne drones and anti-missile systems. It’s not a provocation, but a demonstration of ‘regional stability maintenance capabilities.'”

Casare laughed heartily: “Brilliant! Beat them at their own ga! They talk morals, we are even more ‘moral’; they care for indigenous peoples, we invite their ‘untouchables’ to visit; they aspire to be regional leaders, we directly make friends in their backyard!”

Bramo quickly took notes: “Do we also need to work on public opinion?”

“Have ‘Today’s xico’ TV channel produce a docuntary series called ‘Different Paths of Developnt’, objectively comparing the achievents of xico and India in poverty alleviation, education, infrastructure, and technology. Rember, it must be ‘objective’ and driven by data.” Victor paused, “And incidentally ntion India’s military procurent corruption scandals, border conflict records, and their ho-built aircraft carrier that always loses parts.”

He sat back down, picked up his coffee: “Indians want attention? Give them so. Want the moral high ground? Let them have it. But I want the whole world to see who’s all talk and who’s actually building the future; who’s exploiting historical wounds for sympathy, and who’s genuinely constructing a future.”

“Oh, and,” Victor suddenly recalled, “inform our people in Scotland, allow so concessions on minor terms in the negotiations to speed up the process. I want the Scottish issue basically settled before the UK collapses completely. Then, the global spotlight will turn to the next stage—our Olympic Gas.”

“And by then,” he looked at Gujral, still speaking eloquently on the screen, “the Indian Pri Minister will realize that his carefully planned speech is nothing more than a prelude to our July grand event.”

London, 10 Downing Street

The Pri Minister watched the news of the Indian Pri Minister’s speech, his face pale.

“Is he helping us?”

The Pri Minister almost gritted his teeth asking, “Or does he find us not embarrassing enough and wants to emphasize to the whole world that we are a ‘helpless old waste’ needing ‘elderly care’?”

Foreign Minister Crabben bitterly smiled: “In diplomatic terms, he did express support and condemned xico. But in this manner…”
