Capítulo 1101: Chapter 158: Unknown Aerial Strength
The terrain in the park is open, and there aren’t many usable cover positions.
Fortunately, the opponent isn’t a modern army with long-range strike capabilities, but rather a group of monsters that only know how to fight using claws and teeth.
Logistics team mbers have already set up several heavy machine guns; right now, as long as they guard the path where the monsters are attacking, they can use heavy firepower to suppress them.
“Da-da-da~”
A series of heavy and dense machine gun fire sounds erupted.
Accompanied by the monsters’ wails, the gun barrels continuously spewed flas, reaping the lives of those White Monsters.
Even though they have strong defensive capabilities, they are successfully breached and severely injured under the heavy machine gun fire.
“That’s it! Hit them hard!!”
Dylan shouted loudly, as if trying to release all the anger he had accumulated at once.
More and more special forces personnel retreated from the front.
They encountered so casualties while facing these monsters.
However, those who managed to retreat to the park, besides being sowhat disheveled, did not have any injuries.
This situation is easy to explain.
Because with a human physique, once these fierce White Devils close in, there is almost no chance of escape.
In other words, all the injured people are already dead.
About ten minutes passed, and over twenty people gathered at the small village park location.
Dylan glanced at the display on the temporary command platform, his expression quite grim.
He knew that, given the current situation, those who could return likely already did; the rest are likely dood.
In just this brief mont, his team had already lost half its mbers.
This operation can be described as a heavy loss.
At this mont, there were more and more monsters in the field.
As the special forces personnel retreated, more monsters followed them over.
For a mont, white figures surrounded all sides; everyone was clearly completely encircled.
“This, this isn’t so town attacked by monsters; it’s practically a monster’s den!”
A soldier muttered tremblingly, the scene before him sending chills through his body.
Wherever the line of sight reached, whether it was open areas or buildings, there were monsters everywhere.
They ran on the ground or climbed between houses, all approaching here at great speed.
“Hold on! The rescue helicopters are almost here!”
Dylan shouted loudly.
Four heavy machine guns set up in different directions continuously spewed flas towards the monsters.
However, given the limited number of machine guns, they couldn’t stop the monsters charging over one after another.
It’s ti for Dane and Remy to step in.
Under such intense fire coverage, they naturally couldn’t rush into the monster pile to kill, as they might easily be mistakenly shot by their own n.
Their role was to guard behind the lines and finish off any stragglers that broke through.
“Watch out!!”
Remy leapt dozens of ters, directly from one end of the battlefield to the other, slicing a White Monster in half with a single sword, successfully saving a special forces mber who was about to be pounced on.
The latter only snapped out of the crisis after a mont, struck by imnse fear and relief, causing cold sweat to drench his body.
“Tha-thank you…”
The man gratefully looked at Remy.
That move was simply like a Divine Weapon or Heavenly General; it was truly shocking.
A few team mbers around montarily dazed, then quickly snapped back and continued firing at the monsters.
But at that mont, their minds were filled with Remy’s heroic figure leaping dozens of ters.
This is a Transcendent.
With them on our side, is there a greater chance of survival…?
“This isn’t working! We can’t hold out until the helicopters arrive!”
Dylan glanced at the radar on the command platform, a hint of despair on his face.
Compared to the other team mbers, his hope for a successful retreat was even lower.
According to the plan, those helicopters on reconnaissance missions outside should return within five minutes to bring them out.
But now, it’s been roughly fifteen minutes, and the helicopters still haven’t appeared.
Moreover, he couldn’t contact them through any communication channels.
Now, he’s really worried that those people might have t misfortune and can’t co.
Sure enough, the next mont, a bad news ca through the earpiece.
“This is Air Force Base B18; the third crew encountered a large number of unknown flying objects, lost contact. SASR third squadron, please continue to hold on; we will dispatch new rescue! Please hold on!”
Upon receiving this ssage, Dylan was stunned, his expression seemingly frozen, a trace of despair gradually erging.
“Co-commander… what’s wrong?”
A team mber nearby couldn’t help but ask upon seeing his expression.
Dylan snapped back to reality.
He knew this was not the ti to lose his cool; this truth absolutely cannot be disclosed to the others, or it would only add to the panic.
Forcing a smile, Dylan shook his head and said:
“It’s nothing, I just contacted the command center; our support will be here soon, everyone just hold on a bit longer.”
However, the others aren’t fools.
Waiting this long for the helicopters, they must have guessed sothing.
Dane sliced off a monster’s head with one sword; to conserve Dark Energy, his Eye of Calamity had transford into a giant wide-blade sword for close combat.
“Michael, there are too many monsters; if this continues, we probably won’t hold on! Can you use Reverse Water Spell?”
Remy moved closer and asked.
Dane shook his head.
“No, Reverse Water Spell creates a lot of mist, greatly affecting the shooting view of these regular people; it’s not the ti to use it now.”
He looked at the increasing number of monsters in the distance, continuing:
“Our terrain isn’t favorable for defense… maybe I can use that Magic Technique… but I need so ti, support with cover!”
After speaking, he quickly ran to the center of the field, his hands constantly changing, performing a complex Dark Energy Technique.
Remy roared angrily, unleashing full force.
Structure: Diffusion.
Combination Sequence: Erosion.
In his hands, a Dark Energy Sequence quickly ford into a diffusion structure.
Purple Light Balls condensed in his hands, and then he threw them in every direction as if they were free.
“Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!”
On the field, several purple lights burst forth, instantly engulfing a large wave of approaching White Monsters, finally giving the overwheld team mbers a chance to catch their breath.
