Deisen thought he might have heard it wrong, because in such a place, if plants could bypass the long evolutionary and growth process and suddenly escalate to the current state, it might be explained away with magnetic fields, geology, or other factors.

“Monsters!
These are monsters!
These are the Aliens invading our planet!

Deisen was screaming in his mind, but his lips dared not make a sound.
At this mont, he felt as though he had seen the truth.

As warriors specially trained, although caught off guard by the Desert Worms at that mont, the remaining team quickly reacted and imdiately pulled the triggers on their weapons at these monsters.
“Dada dada dada…”
The sound of the R479 automatic rifle broke the silence of the night, and combined with the burning helicopter wreckage around them, filled the air with a steely scent.
