Now reading: Chapter 210, Going to Tianyuan Star (1) from Worldwide Class Change: Minimal Effort, Maximum Reward!, a Fantasy novel by PurpleOctopus.

The Star Compass cleaved through the imasurable blackness of space as a singular, unwavering beam of light.

A faint hum vibrated beneath Lin Yi’s boots, the thrum of the ancient artifact keeping steady, its intricately etched formations pulsing with an ethereal glow that painted fleeting shadows across his determined face. It propelled them forward, charting a course across the vast space that separated one world from the next, a journey that felt both tiless and utterly swift.

All around him, a myriad of distant stars drifted past, scattering across the cosmic tapestry like countless forgotten jewels, their light cold and indifferent. Occasionally, wisps of cosmic mist, like spectral ribbons, danced at the fringes of his vision, only to be effortlessly torn apart and dispersed by the sheer, relentless speed of the Compass. The sense of isolation was profound, yet Lin Yi stood unmoved, his gaze fixed on the burgeoning destination.

Ahead, still a considerable distance away but drawing steadily, undeniably nearer with each passing mont, was a world enveloped in a gentle, pale blue radiance. Its luminous aura shimred against the dark backdrop, a beacon of promise and peril. This was Tianyuan Star.

It was, as he understood it, the very last outpost, the extre edge of the sprawling Lower Domain, a threshold into sothing greater, sothing far more challenging. This was the exact place Cang Yutian, that insufferable man, had once ntioned, a casual remark that now carried the weight of destiny.

Tianyuan Star was legendary, known as the world that harbored the towering, almost mythical mountain, the very one that served as the final ascent to the Ascendant Gate. It was a realm teeming with enough monstrous creatures, hidden treasures, and unforeseen opportunities to push one’s cultivation to an astonishing Level 250, a number that had once seed impossibly distant.

This world represented the critical, final stepping stone on the long, arduous path toward the Ninefold Heaven Gate, the ultimate gateway. In essence, it was the only viable route, the designated entrance, into the enigmatic Middle Domain.

Lin Yi remained still, his hands clasped behind his back, his entire posture radiating a quiet, formidable presence. His gaze was locked unflinchingly forward, an intensity that seed to pierce the void itself. His expression, while outwardly calm and composed, held a sharpened edge, a subtle but undeniable ferocity that had not been quite so prominent before.

It was the unmistakable look of soone who had long since charted his course, soone whose every next step had been ticulously planned and decided, etched into his very being long before this journey ever began. The future, for him, was less a mystery and more a ticulously prepared agenda.

A subtle ripple disturbed the air around his wrist, a soft, almost imperceptible tremor. The black, intricate tattoo etched into his skin shimred then, catching the faint starlight with a montary gleam. And from that very mark, as if stepping forth from the surface of still, dark water, a graceful figure materialized, coalescing into being beside him.

Xu Ling, her presence a sudden, cool elegance, had appeared. Her pristine white robes, untouched by any discernible breeze in the vacuum of space, stirred and shifted with an almost ethereal grace, while her long, silver hair trailed behind her like spun moonlight, catching and reflecting the distant starlight. She cast one brief, discerning glance toward the rapidly approaching pale blue sphere of Tianyuan Star, then turned her knowing eyes to Lin Yi.

"You are eager," she observed, her voice a calm, even tone that cut through the silence of space.

Lin Yi did not turn his head to look at her, his focus unwavering on their destination. "Is that strange?" he simply asked, his own voice devoid of any real curiosity, more a rhetorical challenge.

Xu Ling’s eyes narrowed almost imperceptibly, a subtle tightening that conveyed a deep well of wisdom.

"To seek the Middle Domain after witnessing the finite boundaries and limitations of the Lower Domain, that is a natural progression," she stated, her words asured and deliberate. "To crave greater heights, to desire more profound power after having tasted even a fraction of it, that is a common and understandable human impulse, a drive that propels many cultivators forward."

She paused for a beat, allowing her words to settle into the void between them, a silent underscore to her deeper aning. "But eagerness that rushes headlong, that sprints far ahead of considered reason or careful calculation, very often conceals a different, perhaps more personal, destination beneath its surface," she concluded, her gaze deepening as it settled back upon him, an unwavering probe into his true intentions.

"You do not rely wish to ascend," she pronounced, her tone matter-of-fact, a statent of undeniable truth rather than an accusation.

Lin Yi responded with a low, quiet laugh, a sound that was genuinely amused and entirely unbothered by her keen insight. It was the sound of a man who found himself completely understood, yet unthreatened by that understanding.

"You understand people far too well for a sword spirit, Xu Ling," he mused, a hint of admiration in his voice.

"A blade that has passed through countless hands, that has witnessed the ambitions, fears, and resolve of innurable wielders across the ages, eventually cos to learn not only the nuances of how they grip its hilt, but also the intricacies of the hearts that guide those hands," Xu Ling replied, her wisdom subtly echoing in her words. Her experience was not just in battles, but in the observation of those who fought them.

Lin Yi offered a faint smile, a slight curve of his lips.

"Fine. Since you’ve asked, and since you seem to have already half-guessed it, I simply wish to pay Cang Yutian a visit," he admitted, his voice carrying an almost casual air, yet the weight of his unspoken aning hung heavy in the silence. The word "visit" seed to take on a chilling, almost predatory undertone when spoken with such controlled calm.

Xu Ling studied him for a prolonged mont, her eyes piercing, attempting to read the layers beneath his composed facade. Then, with a slow, deliberate movent, she gently shook her head, a sigh almost escaping her lips.

"You wish to enter the Middle Domain and not just visit, but to kill Cang Yutian," she stated, clarifying his veiled intention with unwavering certainty, cutting directly to the core of his true purpose.

Lin Yi finally turned his head to face her, his eyes eting hers, a flicker of sothing unreadable passing between them.

"No,"

he said simply, his voice firm and unwavering, contradicting her assertion completely.

Xu Ling raised a delicate brow, a subtle gesture of surprise.

"No?"
