Zhao Lingshuang’s hand remained extended toward the Celestial Lord Blade. But Lin Yi did not move. He did not hand the weapon over, did not respond, simply looked at her. Calmly. Silently.
That silence slowly began to stretch. Su Qinghan noticed it first. Sothing in Lin Yi’s eyes had changed. He was watching Zhao Lingshuang the way a hunter watches prey that is pretending to be harmless. anwhile, Zhao Lingshuang’s smile slowly stiffened, her hand still outstretched. A few seconds passed before her brows furrowed.
"Junior." She kept the smile on her face, her tone turning slightly persuasive. "Don’t misunderstand. I simply want to take a closer look."
Still no response. Lin Yi stood there quietly, the Celestial Lord Blade resting casually in his hand. Zhao Lingshuang’s eyes narrowed slightly as her patience began to fade. "You should understand sothing. A weapon of this level is not sothing a freshman should carry around carelessly. If you allow to inspect it, I can even give you so advice."
Still nothing. Lin Yi remained silent. Inside, however, he was already fully aware of her intentions. Her breathing. Her stance. The subtle tension building in her shoulders. All of it exposed her thoughts clearly. She wants to steal it. He almost found it amusing. But he didn’t move, didn’t speak, didn’t expose her. Instead, he waited for the mont she would make the first move, because Lin Yi followed a simple principle:
If you strike first, don’t bla for striking back!
Zhao Lingshuang’s smile finally disappeared and her expression darkened. "So you’re not going to cooperate." That silence snapped the last of her patience. Her eyes flashed with cold anger. "Arrogant brat."
The next mont, a sudden burst of fla exploded from the ground beneath Lin Yi’s feet.
BOOM!
Fire surged upward violently. But Lin Yi had already moved, Phantom Void Step carrying him clear of the pillar of fla in an instant. Zhao Lingshuang’s lips curled slightly. "Too slow." Her body moved like a flash of wind and she appeared behind where Lin Yi had reappeared. But the mont she turned, she froze. Lin Yi was already standing there, waiting, the Celestial Lord Blade gleaming faintly in his hand.
Su Qinghan’s voice rang out from the side, filled with shock and anger. "Senior Zhao! What are you doing?! You attacked him first!"
Zhao Lingshuang scoffed. "Qinghan, you’re too naive." Her voice turned cold. "Do you even understand what kind of treasure that is? A mythical weapon. A freshman carrying sothing like that is simply asking to be robbed."
Su Qinghan clenched her fists. "That doesn’t an you should—"
"Enough." Zhao Lingshuang interrupted sharply, her eyes cutting to Su Qinghan with irritation. "You’re a fool if you think opportunities like this appear every day." Her voice turned mocking. "Don’t tell you actually intend to let him walk away with that weapon."
"That weapon belongs to him."
Zhao Lingshuang laughed coldly. "You’re hopeless." She looked back at Lin Yi. "Fine. If you refuse to hand it over, then I’ll simply take it."
The mont those words left her mouth, Lin Yi moved. No warning. No hesitation. His figure blurred forward.
SLASH!
The Celestial Lord Blade flashed. Blood erupted across her chest as a deep slash tore through her armor. Before she could even recover, Lin Yi’s hand shot forward, his fingers wrapping around her throat. He lifted her off the ground effortlessly, then slamd her down onto the earth. The impact shook the clearing and dust scattered everywhere. Zhao Lingshuang gasped violently, pain exploding through her body, her eyes filled with disbelief. She was an A-Rank combat class, a third-year elite student. Yet in front of this freshman, she had been defeated instantly.
Su Qinghan’s face turned pale. "Lin Yi! Please stop! Don’t hurt her!" She hurried forward. Lin Yi’s grip on Zhao Lingshuang’s throat remained firm, his eyes cold and completely emotionless.
"Drop your inventory."
Zhao Lingshuang’s breathing stopped. "What...?"
"Everything. Now."
Her expression twisted with anger and humiliation. "You think you can rob ?" Lin Yi’s grip tightened slightly and her face imdiately turned pale.
"You attacked first," he said flatly. "So now you’ll pay the price."
Zhao Lingshuang hesitated, but the pressure from his grip made her chest tighten and her hand began to tremble. Finally, she activated her inventory interface. Items fell onto the ground one by one. Weapons, armor pieces, skill crystals, potions. Su Qinghan looked down in surprise. Most of the equipnt was high quality, epic rank weapons, epic rank armor, and several valuable materials. Among them, one ring shone particularly brightly. Lin Yi picked it up.

Zhao Lingshuang’s face instantly turned pale. "Wait!" Her voice trembled. "Not that one! That ring is my main defensive artifact!" She struggled weakly under his grip. "It cost everything to obtain! It’s worth over three hundred thousand copper coins!"
Lin Yi looked at the ring silently, then placed it calmly into his inventory. Zhao Lingshuang’s face went completely white. "Please! I’ll give you money! Three hundred thousand copper coins! Just return the ring!"
Lin Yi said nothing. He released her throat slowly and Zhao Lingshuang collapsed onto the ground, coughing violently. Then he lifted the Celestial Lord Blade and his gaze shifted toward the pile of remaining equipnt. Epic rank weapons, epic rank armor, treasures most hunters would kill for.
Su Qinghan frowned slightly. "Lin Yi..."
Before she could finish, he swung the blade.
SLASH!
The golden blade cut through the ground.
BOOM!
The entire pile shattered. Epic weapons split apart and armor fragnts scattered across the dirt. The clearing fell silent. Zhao Lingshuang stared at the destroyed items, her eyes widening in horror.
"...No." Her voice trembled. "...No!"
She crawled toward the shattered pieces desperately. Those were her treasures. Years of accumulation, years of hunting, gone in a single slash.
Lin Yi looked down at her calmly. "I don’t need weak trash." His voice was cold. "But you do."
Zhao Lingshuang’s hands trembled as she picked up broken fragnts, her eyes filled with despair. Lin Yi turned away, his voice carrying back across the clearing.
"Let this be your lesson." He paused slightly. "Next ti you see ... rember what happens to people who cross my path."
