From then on, Stuart and Edie lived a peaceful life, eating, sleeping, and reading...
When Edie quarreled with him, she won.
When Edie punished him, she won.
When Edie abused Stuart, she won.
Stuart loved Edie deeply. They were imrsed in such peaceful happiness.
Such happiness, like vinegar, could soften the hardest bone as the ti went by.
As days went by, Stuart could finally walkout. The wound also recovered.
Looking at those wounds crossing on his back, Edie burst into tears. She touched his back with her trembling hands, feeling his skin.
"Did it hurt?" she sobbed.
"If you are frightened, don’t look at it. I am fine, don’t worry." Stuart didn’t know how to comfort her at this mont.
He didn’t want her to look. But Edie insisted it.
David laughed, "It is really a miracle, thanks to your strong will to survive. Otherwise, you would fail. All right, I am done. Keep on."
After the doctor left, Stuart dragged Edie into his arms and comforted, "Don’t worry, they were all passed. I am recovered now. Totally fine now. Stop crying, baby."
"Why...why didn’t you tell at that ti?" Edie wanted to ask this question for a long ti. But she always held it back because she didn’t want to recall those things.
But now, she could no longer control it.
"If you know it was , you might really hurt our baby and yourself." Stuart laughed slightly.
Edie cried harder.
If she knew it was Stuart at that ti, she might break down imdiately. She might lose her baby.
But.....if she knew earlier, she wouldn’t complain to him. He didn’t have to accept her complaint and hatred.
"Don’t you worry that you might lose forever?" Edie’s voice was trembling. Her eyes were covered with tears. The man’s image beca ambiguous.
Stuart wiped her tears away with his big hands gently.
Then he smiled,
"Are you afraid of losing the whole world?"
"Yes, very." she kept sobbing in silence.

But I want you to be fine, to be safe. So I have to do this. I hate my weakness. I hate that I am not strong enough to protect you in a better way. He said in a slow and flat voice. Edie couldn’t hear any emotion from his statent.
Stuart never said lovers’ prattle.
"Actually, I am really sad those days. Really really sad. I thought you really forgot . You wouldn’t care about anymore. I kept thinking about ways to make you rember . I even thought about making a traffic accident again. When I was inford that you faked all these, I really wanted to punch you and broke up with you. You are not dumping . I am dumping you. But....when I see you again, I realized I would never want to do that. All those words were bullshit at the mont when I saw you. They were none of your business."
Edie said in a slight voice. She told Stuart what she really wanted to say.
In fact, ...
She did complain and hated him once. But compared with her love for him, those were nothing.
As long as Stuart was alive and still loved her, she wouldn’t care about anything that happened before, including all those pain and suffering.
Edie took a deep breath and surrounded his neck, "you know? I really thought about giving up and leaving. I thought about leaving my hotown and going to a place where I could live a peaceful life with my baby.... would you regret it if I really did so?"
Stuart fell into silence for a while and said, "I would find you back."
So you didn’t regret it.
Edie beat his breast slightly. Because Stuart just recovered, she didn’t dare to apply much force.
"Asshole. You don’t care about how I was sad."
Stuart held her into his arms and put his jaw on her forehead, "It is impossible that I don’t care. When seeing you are sad, I wish I could rip my heart out to show you. When I see you crying, I want to kill myself to apologize to you. Edie, nothing is more important than you."
Edie stopped struggling. She felt sweet and sour at the sa ti. She fell into his arms peacefully,
"Why don’t you tell the truth in the first place? I can help you. Why did you choose to lie to ?" Edie sounded wronged.
"The mole is inside the group, in a high position. He was closely related to the Yates. He knew lots of secrets from Yates. I didn’t know how many n he had assigned around . But I was sure that he was targeting you, that was why he sent Hicks back to England. Therefore, I turned to advantage his plot and used Hicks to seduce that mole out."
"The only thing worrying was you. Based on our original plan, after we divorced, William would take you away, to a place no one could find you, and then take you back when I handled everything." Stuart sounded a little helpless, "But I didn’t expect that you are such a stubborn girl that you always refused to divorce ..."
Edie blinked his eyes. Was he blaming her that she got in his way to conduct his plan?
Edie wouldn’t acknowledge that. Instead, she stood up from Stuart’s arms and poked his breast.
"You dare to say these? You told that you lost mory so that you could date with Hicks. Be honest. Was there anything happening between you and her?"
Stuart answered imdiately, "Absolutely not. When I t with her, I always had to try the best to hide my disgust. It is impossible for us to have sothing. I didn’t even touch her when we went out."
Though Edie believed what Stuart said, she still felt uncomfortable.
"You don’t have to explain it to . I am nobody for you, "Edie stood up suddenly and walked towards the door, "I need to cut so fruit now."
Stuart’s face turned bad. He started frowning. Seeing the expression on his face, Edie couldn’t help herself bursting into laughter.
Looking at her back, he ca up with an idea.
When he got out of the hospital, the first thing to do was to register their marriage again in A.
