After Edie left, soone knocked on the door.
"It is ," Aaron said outside.
"Co in."
It has been a week since Aaron visited here. Aaron changed. He looked stabler and more competitive now. Stuart could no longer see that naughty smile on his beautiful face. He looked more dignified. Besides....he looked slimr.
Looking at Aaron, Stuart frowned slightly, "What happened to you? What’s up?"
"No," Aaron shook the head. He didn’t want to talk about this right now, "Hicks said she wouldn’t tell the na of the mole until you showed up. So I bring her here, do you want to see her?"
"Anyone else?" Stuart frowned imdiately. He reminded those n in the factory that day. They were all well trained, "Okay, let see her."
"Okay, she was in 1304 on the ground. Let help you."
When Stuart walked into the room, he saw Hicks sitting on the chair, with two guards standing behind.
When seeing Stuart, Hicks stood up excitedly imdiately. She wanted to throw herself to him. But two guards stopped her imdiately.
"Stuart," she scread out. She was full of joy at the mont, "why are you wearing patient’s clothes? Are you injured? Tell who dared to hurt you. Edie that bitch? Or Aaron? I am so worried about you these days. I kept looking for you in These days...."
"Aaron said you knew the mole."
Stuart interrupted her in a cold voice.
Hicks froze. The smile froze on her face. She looked so funny at the mont.
"Stuart...don’t you worry about ? Don’t you want to know what happened to these days? I spared no effort to look for you. Couldn’t you say several words to comfort ?"
"Hicks, I believe Aaron already told you. I never forgot Edie," Stuart didn’t even want to waste a second on Hicks.
He sounded so easy. But for Hicks, it was heart-broken.
He never forgot Edie...
He ant that he lied to her all the ti.
No!
She didn’t believe that.
"You must be lying. I’ve done a lot for you, from ten years ago till now. I died for you. You are not a fickle man. How could you do this to ?"
Hicks roared out painfully. It was so hard for her to believe this.
Looking at her face, Stuart said word by word, "If you are real Marina, I swear I would never do this to you."
"What...what do you an?"
His words, like thunder, shocked her. Hicks started trembling.
What did he an? She was Marina. She was the real Marina.
"Marina ca from Lionel, China. She had a twin sister. But she died when she was born. But I’ve done so investigation, and I found she didn’t die. She was still alive. But your family already went aboard. So the hospital could get in touch. So they had no choice but to send the little infant to a welfare house."
"You an, I am not Marina. I am her sister? How could it...how could it possible. I have the sa mory as her. That is really ridiculous."
Hicks burst into laughter as if Stuart told her the funniest joke she’s ever heard. She kept shaking her head.
But her body kept trembling.
"Anna Joyce gave Marina’s remains. I found lots of emails on her computer. They were all sent to you. She told you everything about her life every day. She was still a shy girl. She never told anyone else about her life. When we were dating, she never talked about her family to ."
"Actually, I’ve investigated you at the very beginning. You looked exactly the sa as Marina. But when you showed up in front of , all the data about Marina were destroyed at the sa ti. Apparently, soone did it on purpose. If you are really Marina, you don’t need that. You are not her. Besides, the man helping you knew even though I know you are Marina’s sister, I wouldn’t hurt you. So, he set you up. He took you to control ."
"No....impossible! Why didn’t I rember this? If I really have a sister who sent an email every day, I would know. But I knew nothing. Stuart, you can tell you don’t like . It is totally okay. But you couldn’t use such a terrible liar to fool ."
Hicks roared out. She struggled to stand up. But the guards stopped her. She was pressed down on the chair.
She couldn’t stop him from uncovering the truth.
"Do you know anything about hypnosis?" Stuart’s eyes were as cold as freezing water, going through her body.
She widened her eyes. Her eyes were filled with tears. She couldn’t believe what Stuart said.
Hypnosis...
She recalled the man she saw that day. That man said he knew how to make her rember everything.
During that period, every night she woke up, she felt there were many more things in her mory.
Was...was she really hypnotized?
Was that why she thought she was Marina?
No...it was impossible. It was so ridiculous.
"Hackers have invaded your computer before. They found you indeed received those emails. Marina was a kind-hearted girl due to the environnt she was brought up. Even you looked like her, and you couldn’t be her insides."
"Hicks, you are always jealous. You are so good at disguising. You don’t want to fall behind. Because another family adopted you after being abandoned by your biological parents. When you are told that Marina was your sister, you read all her emails. Because of hatred insides you, you managed to rember each word of the email. You are not reconciled with such unfair fate just because of being born several minutes later than Marina. In your potential, you want to be Marina herself."
Stuart told her truth word by word. These words kept irritating her nerves.
At the very beginning, he suspected that Hicks was Marina, till Aaron told him the truth. He didn’t realize this until Aaron told him. Therefore, he asked Aaron to investigate Hicks’s family background.
"Stuart...I know why you said these. You made up all these by yourself, just to persuade to give you up. All these were ridiculous. They are all false."
"I told you that your mory is false because... Aaron never raped Marina."
When ntioning this, Stuart’s eyes got a little cold. He looked guilty at the mont.
When hearing this, Hicks was shocked.
"How...how could it possible. I rember... I clearly rember..."
As she wanted to keep talking, she suddenly realized sothing wrong.
She rembered everything that happened in her life, except those seven days on the oceans. She thought the mory beca ambiguous in her mind because that experience was too painful for her.
But when Stuart told her all these, she suddenly felt sothing wrong. Terribly wrong. Did it because that man morizing her didn’t know what happened during those seven days?
So, what Stuart said were all true...
