When they returned back ho, they saw the door was opened. Edie felt weird.
Soone....ca here before. He made the house a mass.
Cecil was laid back scatterbrains, "Has my father co back? Why such a mass? Why didn’t my cook clean it up?"
"Cecil, stay close to ." Edie held Cecil’s hands tightly and turned around. But when they opened the door, they saw two strong n standing there.
Behind them, a man started talking. The voice was hoarse, like the sound nail scratching through the blackboard.
"Mrs. Yates, long ti no see."
"William?"
Edie was shocked. She turned around, seeing a man holding a walking stick sitting on the sofa, smiling at her.
Behind him were lots of guards, including Julia standing she saw just now. She held the strap, staring at Edie coldly as if she wanted to tear Edie apart right now.
Apparently, they were not friendly. They ca for sothing.
William already ca here, with lots of his n. Edie didn’t think he just ca to visit friends.
"What do you want?"
She protected Cecil behind.
William smiled and shrugged his shoulder, innocently, "Don’t be nervous, Mrs. Yates. We don’t want to do anything to you. I’ve heard that you’ve arrived in England. I hadn’t treated you before after you got married to Stuart. I realized I was too rude. So I ca here specifically to invite you to my house."
"Well. You are supposed to ask my husband. You are his friend. You don’t need to ask ." Edie said coldly.
"Stuart was in England now. Don’t you know about that? He already arrived in England on the sa night when you ca back. I see, so you haven’t t yet after arriving here."
Stuart’s already ca back?
Edie froze slightly.
Stuart called her often these days. But he didn’t tell her that he was also in England. All he said was that he should go on a trip for business. Then why did he co to England when she arrived?
Why didn’t he visit her after arriving here? Seeing the confusion on Edie’s face, William smiled, "Don’t be confused. After you ca to my house for dinner, I would certainly invite Mr. Yates. Then you’ll be united. It is about ti for lunch. If you could go back with , we can enjoy lunch together."
"Sorry. I couldn’t leave now. I’ve promised my uncle I would take care of Cecil till he ca back. I should keep my words. I couldn’t leave him alone."

Though Cecil knew the man in front of him was evil, he didn’t hide behind Edie. Instead, he stood out and protected Edie in front of her.
Now Edie’s perceived a baby for several months. Within several months, his little nephew would be born. He was obliged to protect Edie at this mont.
Seeing this, William burst into laughter, "I don’t think Stuart told you anything. Hicks, Joanna, and Carey, they all followed one man’s order. Who do you think the man is?"
"What the hell are you talking about?" Edie’s face changed. Her heart started trembling. She was frightened. She had a feeling that William might tell her so significant secret.
William raised the corner of his mouth and smiled. He pointed at Cecil, "His father’s. These days, the man that always got in your way is Cecil’s father, Stuart’s uncle, Noble."
"No. You are lying. It is impossible. Don’t you dare to talk about this nonsense? My father is the kindest man I’ve ever seen. After my mom passed away, he was always sick, so he stayed at the hospital all the ti. How could he do such a thing? You are lying. All of you."
Before Edie said a word, Cecil already shouted out excitingly.
Edie frowned. What William said, shocked her too much. She couldn’t accept what’s been told imdiately.
She held Cecil’s hands tightly and said, "What the hell are you talking about? Even if you are telling the truth, why did he do that?"
"Because he wants to get everything in the L.N group. The traffic accident killing Stuart’s father was also related to him. As for that rude little boy. It was him that kept telling everything to Noble. When Stuart pretended to lose part of mory, Noble got this information imdiately. Therefore, he asked Hicks Day to appear in front of Stuart. Stuart pretended to lose mory so that he could find the man behind all these. But he failed because of this little boy. You’ve been through lots of scary things because of Noble. He took you here just to threaten Stuart. Understand now?"
"No. I don’t believe every word you’ve said," Edie forced herself to calm down. She shouldn’t be bothered by anyone at this mont.
Edie didn’t know much about William. But she knew Julia. Last ti it was Julia that kidnapped her.
They were not worth her trust. She couldn’t believe these two.
William burst into laughter and asked Cecil, "Cecil, when you stayed with Edie these days, has your father asked you anything about Edie?"
"I....my dad was just worrying about Stuart. What’s wrong with that? Stop talking about this nonsense. Or I would never forgive you. Edie, don’t believe him. My dad is a kind person. He would never hurt anyone."
He raised his round face. His blue eyes looked like pure, clean water in the ocean. He fixed his eyes filled with tears on her.
Edie knew if she denied what he’d said, she was telling him that she didn’t believe his dad. That was so brutal for a little boy.
She was about to be a mother. She didn’t want to do this.
"Don’t worry. I would never believe them," Edie promised to him.
"Wow. Actually, I never expected that you could be so generous in front of your enemy’s son. All right then. You can take him with you. And co to my house for dinner." William said.
"What do you want? I would agree with anything you asked for. But don’t touch Cecil." Edie said in a cold voice.
"Guest has no right to bargain with the host. Take them."
His n walked to them and captured their shoulders, forcing them to get into the car.
They didn’t sit with William. Around them were fully ard guards. Guns on their hands were really frightening.
Cecil couldn’t accept this. He kept struggling.
"Let go. Assholes, bastards, liars."
"Let go, and my father would kill you all."
He beat the window hard and cried out. Tears kept pouring out of his eyes.
Edie’s heart was aching. She dragged him into her arms.
"Your brother and father would co to save us. We would be fine. Don’t worry. Don’t be scared. I would always be with you. All he said is nonsense. They are not true. Don’t worry, okay?"
Edie also didn’t want to believe such an amiable uncle is actually a brutal evil man.
He lived an idling life and loved his wife all these years, and even his wife passed away. How could he be evil?
"Edie, my dad is not that kind of man. I am not, either. My dad just asked sothing about your life. He might be concerned about you. I am not spying on you...."
Cecil threw himself into Edie’s arms and kept crying.
"I believe you, baby. We couldn’t trust them. They don’t even have any evidence. Don’t take it seriously, okay?"
"Well...." Cecil nodded firmly and stopped crying. He wiped his tears away and trembled, "let protect you from now on. I would never allow anyone to hurt you and your baby."
"Okay," Edie smiled and nodded. But she was so worried and nervous inside.
She rubbed her belly gently. She’s perceived the baby for four months. The belly has already gotten quite big.
At that mont, she couldn’t handle more troubles.
No matter what happened, she should protect her baby.
