"Are you really that scared of your big brother?" Ling Yin picked up his chopsticks and served him so food.
Hua Hua had almost finished drying his hair. Using his fingers, he styled the few strands to his satisfaction and asked Ling Yin how he looked. Ling Yin smiled and gave a thumbs-up, so Hua Hua picked up his chopsticks and continued, "An elder brother is like a father."
"If I get involved with another man, my brother will definitely break my legs." Hua Hua made a dramatically serious expression as if he was unforgiving: "Brother Ling, is it natural for you?"
The warmth of Ling Yin’s presence felt comforting to him, and having been helped by him today, it felt easy to open up.
Soone liking you isn’t a cri; everyone has the right to like soone, just like he liked, liked his brother. Does that an his brother should never speak to him again?
n aren’t that fussy. Hua Hua had gotten over his earlier anxious phase and realized it was dealing with The Great Lai, a neurotic serpent, that had made him tense. He had t many n who liked him before, but even after refusing them, they remained friends. Plus, Ling Yin never forced him; the contract termination was straightforward and quite to his liking.
Ling Yin slightly tilted his head, shaking it in denial: "Not exactly."
"Hmm?"
"I’m like you, I’m open to both n and won."
He opened a bottle of fine wine, and Hua Hua recognized it imdiately as a 1985 Médusala from Romanée-Conti Winery. He was surprised: "Brother Ling, you’re willing to open this wine to entertain ?"
Ling Yin had already poured him half a glass, "You recognize it?"
"I have a bottle at ho, stolen from my brother’s wine cellar. I’ve been reluctant to drink it, and my brother searched for a long ti without finding the culprit. It made laugh so hard." Hua Hua bead with excitent whenever he ntioned Gu Shaocheng.
Ling Yin noticed this detail, "The 1985 Médusala from Romanée-Conti Winery, a set of seven bottles, definitely warrants a search if stolen. However, wine is just wine; it only shows its value when it’s drunk, right?"
His gesture of raising the glass was elegant and charming, and Hua Hua thought he was absolutely right. When he got back, he ought to drink the wine before his brother figured it out.
He also raised his glass, his fingers with distinct joints gripping the goblet, giving it a swirl or two.
"Cheers!"
He was soone who knew how to enjoy life. He took a light sip, the aroma of the wine spreading in his mouth, leaving an endless aftertaste: "It’s indeed good wine."
"If you like it, I have two more bottles here for you to take ho."
Hua Hua didn’t dare accept; it was too precious. So he tried the seafood paella Ling Yin made, which was really delicious, just to his taste too: "Brother Ling, since you’re open to both genders, you should find a woman. Although society is open and accepting of homosexuality now, isn’t it generally better to be heterosexual?"
"It depends on the feeling. If it feels right, I don’t care if it’s a man or a woman." Ling Yin swirled the wine in his glass, looking directly into Hua Hua’s eyes, "A lot of things are beyond our control."
A nerve in Hua Hua’s brain was struck, a fleeting sadness in his eyes.
Many things are beyond our control, especially feelings; how could he not know that?
He remained silent, focusing on his al.
He had been through so much today, he had no ti to worry about anything else; he just wanted to drink a little wine, eat sothing, and then get so sleep to feel better.
