Chenxing was so absorbed in her fantasies that she forgot about the embarrassnt of reality.
Neither could she have predicted the massive joke it would create for her in the future.
The incident happened on Huanhuan’s birthday. Nan Baihao threw a party in a private room, and she ca along with Gu Shaocheng to celebrate. While dining, she got so food on her face and reached into her pocket for a tissue. Instead, she pulled out a Durex condom. Silence fell over the room, only to be followed by unstoppable laughter. Chenxing put down her chopsticks, wishing a hole would open in the floor and swallow her whole. In the end, she buried her face in Gu Shaocheng’s chest and refused to lift her head. Frankly, it was utterly humiliating.
Well, that story is for another ti.
Out of nowhere, he was rubbing a birthmark on her arm. The mark was a little ugly, and Chenxing instinctively recoiled, "Don’t look, it’s unattractive."
"Unattractive?" Gu Shaocheng chuckled, showing no concern whatsoever. He even lifted her arm, caressed the mark delicately with his tongue and affird, "Not at all."
Chenxing wished she could hide her arm, "It’s really ugly, don’t stare. I used to be afraid even to wear sleeveless tops in the sumr."
She couldn’t understand why this man, who had been around countless won, always seed drawn to touch her birthmark, intentionally or not. It appeared to be a habit he had developed since they first t—his hand would wander to the mark whenever they lay together.
"Why?"
Does he even have to ask? "My classmates would mock ."
Gu Shaocheng nonetheless held her more tightly, swirling his finger around the mark that was a scar from a gunshot wound, whispering, "Do you know where this scar ca from?"
"It’s not a scar, it’s a birthmark."
Chenxing corrected him.
Gu Shaocheng was startled, "Who told you that?"
It was clearly a scar she got for him!
"My mom."
"Which mom?"
Chenxing bit her lip, turned her head away, and mumbled, "Anyway, my mom."
A sarcastic laugh echoed in her ear, "Your adoptive mother didn’t give birth to you, how would she know that it’s a birthmark? Nonsense! You should ask your birth mother!" But her birth mother wouldn’t know it either; the scar was from a gunshot wound, a trace left behind when she took a bullet for him.
This scar, she got it for him, how dare anyone say it’s ugly!
Thoughtful, he asked, "So, how many days are left for our betting challenge? Once the result is decided, we can bring your mom."
Chenxing started counting with her fingers, "13 more days."
Why is there still so much ti? Gu Shaocheng felt that the days were passing too slowly. He wished the next day was the last one, so he could be in charge of everything according to their agreent.
Just thinking about it made him happy.
Gu Shaocheng chuckled quietly, asking for an update, "How much have you earned so far?"
"Not... not much, just a few tens of thousands." She was still very far from her goal of two hundred thousand.
Chenxing looked worried, but he was over the moon, pinching her nose, "So you’ve lost?"
"There’s still ti, 13 days."
"Earning over a hundred thousand in 13 days? Daydreaming, huh?" He could make that amount in a minute, but for her, it was no small sum. The only way she could earn that much in thirteen days was if the sun rose in the west.
It wasn’t that Gu Shaocheng was looking down on her; it was just a simple fact of their capabilities.
