Hua Hua asked curiously, "What’s the matter?"
"It’s Brother asking for a marriage proposal," said Nan Baihao, with his arms folded across his chest and a loud voice tinged with teasing. "Hey, did you notice? Chenxing really is damn impressive. It’s true, Brother has changed so much in just two years."
"Before, he was so hesitant even to confess his feelings to Chenxing, worried about losing face; but now, he can’t wait to lay the best things in the world before her, seems intent on being romantic, and it’s not just about being romantic— he wants to enact the most romantic proposal ever."
"Brother loves his little sister-in-law." Hua Hua felt a sour twinge in his heart. "Chenxing loves romance, so Brother is giving it to her. What’s there to fuss about?"
"Yeah, I know, I realized it during soone else’s birthday party, when Brother pulled off that Dragon and Phoenix show. Brother is not bad at this romance ga. When he decides to play it, he plays it to make a woman blissfully happy." Nan Baihao expressed his feelings: "In this lifeti, Brother probably has set his heart on Chenxing, just like I’ve set mine on Huanhuan. Alas, the course of true love never did run smooth."
Hua Hua didn’t offer any opinion; instead, he waited until Nan Baihao went outside, panting with beads of sweat streaming down his face.
This pace was sothing he had never practiced before, and it was beyond his capacity—but for so reason, thoughts I couldn’t quite grasp seed to be pushing him to almost masochistically egg himself on. Even when out of breath and drenched in sweat, he didn’t step off the treadmill; instead, he kept pushing his physical limits.
In the end, completely exhausted, he finally stopped.
He had zero energy left to care about appearances, and with a thud, collapsed onto the soft sofa.

He let out a long sigh.
It had worn him out!
"Chenxing, Chenxing!" Suddenly, there ca a loud shouting from upstairs.
With legs weak from fatigue, Hua Hua rushed upstairs the first chance he got, pushing open the room door, with the sounds of Brother’s shouts still echoing in his ears.
Hua Hua walked surprised to the bedside, crouching down: "Brother, what’s wrong with you?"
The next second, he was enveloped in Gu Shaocheng’s embrace, followed by his increasingly constricting arms. In his slumber, that man was mistaking him for Chenxing, clinging tightly and muttering in his dreams, "Don’t leave , don’t leave , okay?"

"I won’t let you go, do you understand? I won’t let you leave , never, ever."

Hua Hua opened his mouth, eyes widening as he stared at Gu Shaocheng, who was holding him.
"I’ll never leave you, Brother. I want you to take care of for a lifeti."
He tried to move Gu Shaocheng’s arms away, his face warming with a burning sensation, but as soon as he had shifted Gu Shaocheng’s arm, he found himself encircled again. After several attempts, Hua Hua gave up struggling, crouching motionless by the bed, repeating softly, "Brother... won’t... I won’t..."
"Chenxing, don’t leave ! Even in death, you’re not allowed to leave ! Otherwise, I’ll kill you!"
Hua Hua’s complexion stiffened.
Then he snapped out of his daze, a bitter smile flickering across his lips as he resignedly said, "Brother, your little sister-in-law won’t leave you, she won’t. I won’t allow it. You two are going to be happy. I’m still waiting to celebrate your wedding."
"When that ti cos, I’ll be your best man, haha, and do my makeup a bit uglier, not to upstage you and your little sister-in-law."
While talking, he looked out the window.
Darkness enveloped everything outside, with only the faint flicker of a streetlamp, yet it was as though he could see the vision of Gu Shaocheng and Chenxing walking into the marriage hall—a romantic and perfect wedding with him raising his glass, toasting the bride and groom.
