Such an embrace was almost uncontrollable, she could feel the overwhelming emotions it contained.
At that mont, Luo Xi’s already restless heart was instantaneously stirred into a thousand waves.
"Where are you hurt?" Yan Fengchi asked.
Her body temperature was unusually high, visibly indicating she had a fever.
"Shoulder."
Before she even finished speaking, his hand had left her shoulder and he took out a flashlight to examine the wound on her shoulder. Luo Xi’s tense heart relaxed, and she softened, hearing him curse softly, "Damn!"
An ergency kit was handed to him, and he quickly administered an anti-inflammatory injection.
"Why are you here?"
Yan Fengchi put away the syringe, and in the next second, he hoisted her onto his back, and a group of people quickly retreated, striding through the dark jungle.
"I ca to collect your dead body!" he said through gritted teeth.
Luo Xi’s heart softened, her chin resting on his shoulder, and she remained silent.
Yet, at this mont, he said, "Don’t sleep!"
"Umm..." Luo Xi weakly nodded her head, but her consciousness gradually dimd, her entire being becoming slightly hazy. The familiar masculine scent filled her nostrils, Luo Xi bit her own tongue trying to stay awake, but she couldn’t resist the onslaught of sleepiness.
She could only find topics to chat with him, to fend off her drowsiness.

When she woke up again, she was in the hospital, with an IV in her hand, a man curled up in an armchair next to her, his arms wrapped around himself, face turned towards her, even in sleep his eyebrows were furrowed.
A nurse pushed open the door from the outside, walked in to change her IV, noticing she was awake, smiled and said, "You’re awake? Your boyfriend has been up all night watching over you."
Luo Xi’s lips were dry: "Is there water?"
"Just a mont."
After the nurse changed the IV, she handed her a bottle of water and then took out a thermoter to check her temperature, "The bullet has been removed from your body, but the fever hasn’t subsided. I’ll go call the doctor to co and check you again."
Luo Xi weakly nodded and said softly, "Don’t disturb him."
The nurse covered her mouth understandingly, and tiptoed out, yet Yan Fengchi still woke up, his sleep was always light due to his concern for her. Realizing she was awake, he imdiately reached out to touch her forehead, then clenched his fist and said, "Why hasn’t it gone down!"
Luo Xi extended her other free hand to get her phone and called her team leader.
The call connected quickly, Luo Xi was worried about one thing, "Captain, has Oli returned to the team?"
"Oli is fine, the client has safely left City E, our mission was successfully completed, Luo Xi, you did a great job. Take good care of yourself in the hospital, recover and then co back, we have already left City E."
"You’ve already left?"
"This ti we owe it to Young Master Yan, you ought to thank him properly... hey, just make sure not to co back pregnant." The person on the other end joked over the phone, Luo Xi pursed her lips, glanced at Yan Fengchi beside her, who returned her look with a cold glare, Luo Xi averted her eyes and quickly ended the call.
